For Bellions, build home hugs! And welcome to another episode of Redo Rebellion Star Wars for Cassandra Ho's, Samantha Tarderon, and with us today is our co-host, Alty, how you doing Alty on this Star Wars Saturday as we? I don't know, it feels like we've been longer, but we've been last week. It's been a week, yeah, no, it's not going good.
We're doing good, yeah. I'm glad I saw you were out of the beach, reading Patho of Vengeance, just chilling out. And I had to come all the way down here, like, 20 minutes. Yeah, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry.
It's a nice day to be out on the beach, long weekend like you mentioned. Yeah. You probably remember this, but Puerto Rico has this very funny thing. I'm currently in San Juan in my house, and it's very cloudy.
But when you get to the beach, it's sunny, like, no clouds, no nothing. And another cool thing is that you have a beach like 10 minutes away, 15 minutes away, 20 minutes away. Like, there's a beach on a recorder. There's a recording in my parents' house.
I was maybe 15 minutes away from Isla Vele, from the beach over there next to the airport. And then they also had a condominium right there on the beach, which was like two minutes away. Now I have to drive 15 minutes to the closest beach, nowhere close to the cycle beach as we get in Puerto Rico. Probably on Meteorico Beach.
I just shout out to Tony, his wife posted a picture of a New England beach. And I was like, oh, New England summer. Like, you guys have a Puerto Rico. What the hell?
What the hell? Come on. Yeah. I've been to Marta's Vineyard.
That's when my brother got married up there in New England. Let's go to the beach. It's an island. It's just rocks.
Everything is rocks. There's no sand. But the nicest beach close to where I am inside the Jackson Bay or San Diego State or Key Waters is almost like an hour and a half drive. It's not a way.
It's every time I've been to coastal states. They're like, oh, we have to take you to the beach. I'm like, really? Do we have to go?
Okay. Oh, that's you. Okay. All right.
Enough beach. Summer. Did I go to the pool? It's summer.
It is summer. All right. With that, if you guys have joined us now, thanks for being here, Vista. First time, make sure they subscribe to our channel.

If you're watching this later on the recap, and of course, if you're listening to this on the other podcast, just give us a nice rating and review. It's always nice to hear back from you guys.
It's been a, oh, what am I? Yeah. So, right. Make sure it's been a quiet week for the most part of the year.
But before we get into it, I just want to all our thoughts are with Ray Stevenson and his family. Unfortunately, we lost the actor earlier this week. And after a shock, he was of course, a star was celebration a couple of months ago. We know him as the voice of the Saksa on the animated series.
And of course, he was going to, he is going to show up in the Soka series as Vaylon Skoll. I believe he's the name of his character in a Soka, but a shock. But again, I've thought that with his family and all the best with him. Yeah.
No, I just want to say that it really sucks what happened with him because he was in celebration. There was all this love. He looked so cool in the trailer. Everyone was excited.
And he was like, oh, I can't really talk about it. Like maybe next time. And now we're never going to get it. So it's not so much.
Yeah, it will be a bit of a sweet one. We see his character. For sure. Yeah.
All right. As we get ready to start, we'll start in the chat today. OK. We have Brennan's in the chat.
He dropped this comment with his solo review. No, there. I love this movie, especially the score by John Powell. I totally agree with Han Thien from John Williams.
Most music is by Powell. And it's incredible. Favorite is the Cloud writer thing. Yes, definitely.
And Han and Kia Rastin. Thank you for those thoughts, Brennan. We also have Dale. Oh, hello Dale.
Yeah. Turn down my data just to say hi. And he's still in the hospital. So just hoping everything's OK.
Yeah. Just hoping everything's OK. Yeah. Don't spend all your data on us.
No, don't. That's from being here. We're not worth it. No, no, especially if you're out there.
But yeah, take care. All right. OK. Let's go ahead.
I think it's time. If you guys are ready, I'm not ready. Let's talk Star Wars. And we had a quick Star Wars news.
Star Wars news. It's, I don't even want to call it news. It's a rumor. But I think it's pretty substantial something that might happen.
And it is according to one take news. The more and more reason will be reprising his role as a clone trooper. I'm not just any clone trooper in Asoka. The beloved Captain Rex.
Oh, did we talk a couple of weeks ago when the more reason said that he was supposed to show up in the Mandalorian season three finale. Everybody was blaming Lucasfilm. How can you treat them more like this? It's such a good ambassador for that series.
And for Lucasfilm, you guys don't know what you're doing. And he's most likely going to show up in Asoka. As Star Wars. We just calm down a little bit with our emotions and how do you feel about this news?
Star Wars fans should always come down with their emotions because there's a lot of emotions. And even the most positive people tend to throw some gaps sometimes. So you're going to chill. Regarding him showing up, I don't know if this is true.
I don't know how reliable this outlet is. So we'll see. I hope it is and it would make sense. And yeah, glad Tamara stays in the family.
Because he's one of the few actors who can play a bunch of different roles in a bunch of different scenarios. So go for it. I heard someone else and he'll be back not only as red. There'll be other clones, which makes sense.
And if they're like, and I love Rex. And I tweeted it out. He's my favorite clone trooper. I hope this is just some flashback.
It's like letting rest. It's like aiding, knighting, your soul. Captain Rex I'm talking about. He doesn't need to win the fight.
Just let him retire. If he's a flashback with a SoulCadrony Clone Wars, I'll take it. I don't need to be a recovering character in four episodes, taking the fight to throw on whatever. Am I?
Do you feel the same or you don't? I kind of feel the same, but there's this. I don't know. I just think of the nerd in me and seeing him.
What was the focus title during the, was she commander or? I don't know. Just Brandon knows. Just him being like, you know, a soca being, we have to take this fight.
And he's like, oh, I'm going to join. And she's like, oh, you've done enough. And he's like, oh, one less fight commander. Something like that.
I don't know. I was like, oh, he's going to die probably. Oh, you know, I'll say the same thing I said when we were talking about SoulCad last year, whenever I'm not high for it. I saw it right.
I love it. I really don't want him to be in presence in the present. But when he shows up, I'm going to be giving. I'll be Captain Rex.
There you are. He's a very important character in a SoulCad's life. Sure. For me, it would really transcend fan service for him to be on the show.
Or even if he gets to go into the movie later on. So I think this, it makes sense. That's what I'm trying to say. It makes sense for him to be there.
I don't want to put you on this spot. How old should Captain Rex be at this point? If they go twice as fast, it was like 20 in the Clone Wars. When the Clone Wars started, right?
The movie. Let's say 20. And it's been like 35 years. So six years.
It hasn't been that long. It's been 19 since the since the war ended. And then at like five, six years. So it's been like 20 something.
I don't know. This is late 60s, let's see. If he's in his late 60s, he can still kick some ass. Dude, I mean, it's Star Wars.
I'm not going to bring real world generals in their 60s going to the battlefield. No, they're back there during the plans. But it's always like a modern day general. They're just sitting in the Pentagon.
Oh, yes, it was President. We're trying to please. You know, back in the day, they were in the front lines. Yeah, they were dying at 50.
Anyway, I just give me flashback. Also, it was Star Wars. I'm not real life. Yeah, exactly.
I get that on my head. But I love it. I love it when he shows up. And I think even though I don't know anything about one thing.
I take news like you said, he's a very integral part in a soccer story. So this is not fan service. It's making complete sense, if it shows up. All right.
So someone else in the chat. I can't even say. Hello. Oh, happy birthday, Mo.
Her birthday was last week. Yes, it was. Happy birthday, Mo. All right.
So let's go. Dude, I'm talking about our main topic today. And I'm going to do something we haven't done in a while. It's the first time you'll be in here for this segment of the show.
I can't even find my graphic. I know it's here because I saw it. Here we go. Star Wars Rewind.
All right. Everything has come out years in the past and we take a look back. And today, Otty is all about. I got my back cards here.
It's all about solo five years later. Dude, this came out 2019, if I'm not mistaken. That's five years as much math as I all be able to do today. No, it was 2018.
2018, see already failed. I thought for some reason last year I was anyway. So this movie and we're going to talk about production issues, the things behind it first introduction of Han Solo, Chewbacca, the score that Brandon mentioned. We're not talking about that, but I think we're going to talk about solo.
What were your initial thoughts? Actually, before we get that, let's get a little bit into production issues because this was a movie that failed Box Office Live. And a lot of that critics out there didn't love it either. And what were the issues?
People started pointing to a lot of different problems because they could have affected this movie. Was it? All the backstage issues when they changed the director, it's kind of three quarters of the way. What did it claim?
Too close after the last Jada in some of the backlash, from some of the fan base. Was it too close to Avengers Infinity War? That just came out and blew everything out of the water. Was it the marketing?
Should they leave it? Have left it at December? There's a lot of different points or issues that you can point to. Do you think any of these really affected the reception of the movie?
Some people say nobody asked for Han Solo origin story. Can you point to one thing being the catalyst to not hit with fans or critics? I think it's all of them. Okay.
The answer is E, all of the above. I think it not only did it come out right after Infinity War. It was sandwiched between Infinity War and I think it was that pull too. So it got sandwiched there.
They changed. Shiv, another Star Wars had come out six months ago. It was the whole thing. And I think, and you can comment to this how we want, but I think this is the kind of movie that a lot of people went in with their reviews already written.
We already knew all the production issues. Everything that might have affected the movie's reception were things that we already knew going in. Sure. And I think a lot of people went into this movie with their arm cross and being like impressed me, bro.
And yeah, I think this movie was also a victim of that. And I know we're going to get into our initial thoughts, but I all of it fogged in my initial thoughts of the movie. Yeah, this is a movie that I love seeing how people are coming back to it. And we'll get into our initial thoughts and five years later.
But I don't know, it's so difficult to point just one thing being the problem. To me, I think with having the change, the director is three quarters of the way in basically having to redo the movie in such a short time was the biggest issue. I just pushed it to December to be enough time to breathe and then market it properly. I don't know if you remember the first trailer for this movie came out during the Super Bowl.
A couple months before the movie came out. And for Star Wars movies, we usually started the marketing a year ahead. Yeah, we got that. I think it wasn't even the trailer was the first teaser in the Super Bowl.
And then Gomonya, America, the fallen decade gave the full trailer, which we all love that Western vibe, the music was different. But yeah, I don't know. I think just the marketing wasn't the best because they knew that they were still shooting, having to do all those reshoots. They should have just pushed it to later in the year.
I don't think the reception to last year had anything to do with it. I think a lot of people didn't know this movie was coming out. Like you mentioned, Finite was there, Deadpool was there. It's very difficult at that time period to separate yourself from all those big movies.
So just the timing didn't work. But okay, so let's get to some of the initial thoughts. And most people know mine. I've loved this movie since the first time that I saw it.
I saw it at 10.30 in the morning, the first show when I was there by myself almost. And then that same year I had a lot of going on Disney Cruise during the summer. And they have a movie theater there and they went showing solo. So I watched it like three times more in the movie theater.
So I loved this movie, so much of it that I loved. And five years later, I still love it the same. For me, it's my comfort star was moving. It's right there with Phantom Menace in my most enjoyable movie.
My now have the biggest lore Phantom Menace has a lot of issues, but it's just extremely fun movie. And I think this is the same. If I just want to watch a fun adventure in the Star Wars universe, I put solo and I'm not going to be disappointed. So like I said, I love seeing that people coming back into it.
And by the end of today's episode, we'll talk if we think the possibilities of a follow-up to this. I don't know if we're there yet, but what were your initial thoughts and now five years later? This is like a very weird thing to do because I reviewed this when it came out. There's an episode and one of my podcasts is discussing it.
So it's the kind of thing where what am I able to say? Someone can maybe go back and be like, oh, that's not what you said. Yeah. So I don't know.
But I remember going, I specifically remember the episode before we saw this movie. I told Tony, like, ah, I'm going to watch it. I don't want to watch it. It doesn't look that good.
And I remember going into it very pessimistic. I still went like first show we had here in Puerto Rico. I went to it like it's so Star Wars movie. And I remember leaving the theater and being like, that wasn't bad.
That wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. And I remember my dad being like, oh, I love that it was so much fun. And I was like, okay, I think I need to watch it again. I knew immediately the things I loved.
And there was nothing about it that I specifically hated and still to say there's nothing. I think I was just like just fun, wrong. And this movie also came out at a very interesting point in my fandom, where I was starting to change the way I took in Star Wars. This movie came out.
I was just starting to read the books. You know, last year I had just come out and that was a movie like really made me open my heart to Star Wars and all these different elements to it. And realized that Star Wars moving forward wasn't necessarily making an old Republic movie. And things like that.
Yeah. So I was just starting. If this movie had come out maybe like a year before, I would have been like this is shit. I don't know what to say.
Terrible what the hell. But it came out just like right in that sweet spot when my heart was starting to soften and be a little more accepting on that Star Wars can be different things. And so it was a very interesting time for me. So yeah, initially I wasn't like that hot on it, but I wasn't really like hating on it.
I was just like, yeah, it was fun. Yeah, this is a very different movie to the last year. Like, you have to be very free. At this point in 2018, I wasn't a Star Wars Twitter.
They didn't have a podcast. I just listened to a few shows out there. So I wasn't I didn't I hear some of the negativity around it. Like you said, a lot of people have made their mind already.
I wasn't in that space at the moment. I love Star Wars the same as I do now. I didn't have all those different voices coming down from all different spots. But I just remember having so much fun with this movie as soon as they say, Oh, we'll have you flying in all time.
He flies through the air, which is a simple gag. From that point on to the end credits when he's standing to Vaka, Hey, I heard about this big shot, Gancer. I had a smile on my face. I was like, Kira, it makes me smile.
That was me that whole since minute 15, what that happens all the way to the end. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I know some people have issues with that second half when they're doing the big heist in in Kessel. I didn't mind it.
I didn't mind when I watched it yesterday. And the last end, the last third, I really enjoyed. So I've always loved this movie and it just keeps growing and growing and growing. I understand some people having trepidation with someone new coming to play Han Solo.
Do you think that one of your thoughts on Elden and Rex performance, and do you think that anything to do with people not wanting to see this movie is not Harrison Ford? No one's going to be able to touch what he did with the character? Yeah, I think he was still a very difficult card. And it was also very difficult because we had just seen Harrison Ford as Han Solo.
If this had been the first, this is the week, which I think it should have been right away, I think it would have been a very different reception to him because people maybe would have been a little bit more accepting of this. But I love Elden. I've said it before, I love him in this role. I think I'm getting ahead to a few things, but I think he's a better Han than Glover is.
Lando and everyone was like, oh Lando, Lando, Lando, Lando, Lando. You have to be careful, you have to be careful, those. I didn't really really love it that much. But so, yeah, I love Elden.
I'm a firm believer that if they bring Han back, it has to be him. I don't think Lucasfilm feels that way, but we'll see. Yeah, we'll leave that to the end. But I'm right there with you.
And just as you said, you like his performance as Han better than you know, Glover as Lando. I'll say to get me canceled for the day, when people mention Han Solo, my first image is Elden and Rex, not Harrison Ford. I'm not saying that he's a very bad man. No, I think it's just, I spend probably more time with Elden Eric and Sans Solo, because he had a whole movie himself.
So when they say Han Solo, my first image is him. I'm not saying that he's a better Han Solo than Harrison. I'm not that crazy. When I was a person, what are someone says Han Solo, the only thing that comes into my mind is, you're right.
But I love everything that he did with the character. I don't understand people being hesitant even right now. And I know it's a little bit different with the next and the final Indiana Jones movie coming out and also Romblings are supposedly Boba I know, they're saying, oh Han Solo, I mean, Indiana Jones can continue without Harrison Ford and people are saying that. They're right.
And they go. So to me, it's like, yeah, I mean, all the fans, we talked about this, we cast characters. We don't need all the guys or CGI and all that. Even Mark Hamill was like, hey, if you want to bring another guy in.
Yeah, I love that I said that. And one point we don't need him. And then secondly, just bring someone else. Hopefully, look as you know, listen, but I got it.
You got Colonial Mark? Let me get started. But something when it comes to Star Wars movies is the themes. One makes it feel like a Star Wars movie.
One of the biggest themes in Star Wars is Fan family, right? From Mandalorian, Clone Wars, Unreal movies, everything is Fan family. I think this movie has like three different Fan families for Han Solo. We're beginning with Kira and the White Worms.
Then of course, meeting Beckett and his crew. And by the end, with Chewaka, all those different Fan families throughout it. And of course, that hope of always at the end, that good guy is going to see the lights and kind of help out in that Han Solo way. Any other Star Wars theme that you think this movie highlights and maybe people are not paying too much attention to it.
I just brush it aside because I just want to hate on it. Yeah, I think there's a couple. I think the the boot of the Empire is very heavily felt. The Empire is a presence in this movie more than in any other movie because in other movies, we're usually directly crashing with them.
In here, it's this thing that we have to avoid at all costs because the problems they can bring can be very big. And I don't know how to verbalize this theme, but seeing a kid like Empysnest and being like, I have to take action is something very inspiring to me. And the whole thing with the coaxium, being this life or death thing, we need this to fight the Empire. And maybe for the Empire, this is something just completely insignificant.
They would just like, confiscate it and throw it in the back of the end. But for Empysnest and Herkowitz, this is like for death. And the whole thing with Kira, where she believes that everyone is there to serve someone else. And she's trying to climb that ladder, but she feels like there's no way to break that chain and having Han being a little bit naive, or maybe not naive because I don't believe in her point of view.
But being like, hey, no, let's leave. And she's like, no, you don't get it. Like this is not where there's no escaping this. And so yeah, I think I think this is a movie with a lot of things and a lot of guys to say.
Yeah, Kira is one of those characters that has those different layers. And she's always one step ahead, at least knowing what might happen because Han doesn't know anything about Dark Maul really being, or Maul at this point, being the leader of Prince Andor. He's like, we'll take care of Dryden. We're done.
We're good. And she's like, we're not playing to win. There's always someone higher. And unfortunately, she's bound to that because Maul knows who she is.
But like you mentioned, this boot of the Empire, why do we love Andor? Because it shows little people trying to survive on what they can do to fight the Empire. Here we have, like I just mentioned, hey, we'll have your flying no time. You're going to Min-Bang.
And when the captain or the general is like, hey, we're gonna go over here. We're gonna crush the insurgents. We're gonna do all this. And Solos like, more mode is third planet.
We're the insurgents. We're just trying to kind of bring the Empire's point of view to it. And Solos, right. We're here displacing these people, right?
Genoside, everything that we talk about here where we love Andor and all the others that show especially also with Bismissant II is all this a lot. It's right there in a more comical way, not a serious Asandor, but it's there. And again, for Han Solo, it's every step is trying to survive, get away further and further from the Empire. So those things are there.
But in a different way that we've seen before. If I was thinking of that line of where the insurgents wasn't Andor, everyone would be like, oh, I totally got me, it's a genius. Oh man, you're 100% right. But for it, yeah, give me all the enemies.
Every for that monologue. Yeah, every week there's something steps up, but because Solos said it right before. This is not a dis on Andor nor anything. I don't speak it's funny.
It is. It is. Every time anything happens in Andor, everyone's like, oh, this is it. It's the best.
We skip one thing, but we'll ask we're going through it. And one thing else, I didn't really like why is there something out there? Yeah, no. Mo is adding to the theme of rebellion and hope is my favorite.
And if it's just saying our rebellion makes me cry low. Yes, Mo. Yes. I guess that's what the when Solos gets on the co-op show.
You know what this is? Oh, it's like 10 million credits. No, it's the seed that begins to rebellion something like that. Oh, it's right there.
The spark that would light the fire. To burn the voice order down. If that line had been on there, people would have lost their minds. We should do one of these with last day like us.
I know it's your favorite. It's low on my ranking. We should do one to really go into it or a different point of view. Because I love a lot of the last day that brings in.
That's one of them. I know so people it sounds kind of clunky when you try to say it. But it's a great line. It's a great line too.
Yeah. One thing that might not be a great line. And I agree, but I what I would have and I don't care. So what's your name?
Solo? No, but who's your people? I don't have it. Alone?
Solo? I could do without it. Do you care? Did they grab the name and just drag it through the mod to just be handed down by an Imperialist last 15 minutes of shift?
I didn't need them to answer how he got his name. Like I remember when I was like, oh, you're going to learn how he got his name? Is it his name? I think we all could have imagined that Han Solo wasn't his name because that's just a way to call a name.
I never minded the scene, honestly. I kind of rolled my eyes at it and I still do this like, okay, whatever. But I don't really mind it. It's, you know, if we're going to get technical, I do remember talking about this when we came out.
It's a very real thing when immigrants came after the war to the United States. Some of them got really weird names because they either they understand what they wrote, they didn't understand the pronunciation. They, some of them were kids and didn't have last name. So they were just like, whatever.
Actually, my godfather, the court of the other wasn't actually his name. So yeah, I didn't really mind that much. Right. Not that it's the same, but I went to a drive-through this afternoon.
Burger King, I'm going to put down this one. I do my order, the lady on the other end. Very nice. The nicest person ever heard on a drive-through.
Can I have a name for the order? Alberto, okay, perfect. Long line. When I finally get there, she comes out.
What was the name? Alberto. She looks at the computer printout. Here we go.
Let me say what name. Dude, she put A-N-J-E. And we can add in an J-E. And J-E.
And I, how is that even possible? Right. In the world, the only one letter. And like, what is this?
I just want to say, Oti. In English, I know a lot of people, how do you pronounce it? Oti, you know, in Spanish it's very straightforward. Oti.
So every time I go to Starwatch and something like that, Oh, what's the name? I just say Oti. They never, ever, ever get it. I have people write Octalio.
I like... Oh wow. I don't like your name. I don't like your name.
Yo, yo, Tavio now. Yeah, again. Pass with people. Come on.
You got those names right. To me, I heard those rumors when they say, Oh, you're going to love the way he gets his name. I like, and people were going to say, Oh, someone's going to say solo. Someone's just going to say it.
Like, no, it's too dumb. It's not going to happen. So when it happened, I'm like, Ah, crap, it happened. But at the end, whatever.
To me, it's really, they know Spanish in a galaxy far, far away. They say, alone means solo. So let's just vote it. But let's just vote with it.
It doesn't matter. Wine solo. Yeah. And to me, and then why didn't he change it?
To me, he started getting recognition as Han Solo, and for Han Solo, and for Han Solo, he was always for people to know him. So he wasn't going to change it after, especially after the guest, so around that people are going to start saying the name Han Solo. He's like Star Lord, right? Finally, someone called me Star Lord.
He's not going to change his name. I mean, it's a very cool name Han Solo. So also, Brandon mentioned at the beginning, it was the score by John Powell. All the end, this is next to Rogue One, the most underrated Star Wars score in my opinion.
I think Rogue One beats it by a hair. But the score by John Powell is just great from top to bottom. Of course, the Han Solo thing by John William hits very hard, not everything. Everything going down with, especially the Enfist Nest theme, that Kira theme is so great.
But I also love that they didn't shy away from all those Star Wars music notities that we know and love. We got the Imperial March. We got the Millennium Falcon theme plenty of times. We got also the other Imperial theme when the Saudi story shows up in the mail store.
And we got Dolody Fates at the end. And this is something that Star Wars TV shows we talked about. They shy away from it till the very end. Here you go.
I love that he didn't. And we get them throughout the whole movie. It's, do we get the Millennium Falcon theme in this one? I can't remember now.
Yeah. When we see the first time it's a little bit there, and then when he sits down, the first time, we also hear it. So it's not the whole big theme, but you hear it a little bit. Oh, it's coming.
It's coming all the way till the end while we hear it. That cloud writer theme, by the way. It's so, John Powell did something very interesting adding the, I mean, Star Wars had done it before, but adding the choir, but it wasn't very different choir to it. I really love this score.
It's a very different Star Wars score, but it really fits in it. Yeah. I kind of see it like a prelude to what Ludwig would do with, with Mandalorian. I think that kind of opened the door a little bit to go a little bit more crazy with the Star Wars themes.
Yeah. Oh, well, yeah, that, M.F. is next theme is like you say, everything has a chanting or a chorus in Star Wars, just it's the world of AIDS, the Emperor one, and then this one, it's all man. You just love all those.
So I know he won't come back because Star Wars, I don't know, they're just very weird. When they. I wouldn't say he's not coming. Yeah, I'll hold out hope for him because.
Yeah. And we did get the regular score, and then about two years later, he released the extended version, like two more, an extra hour and a half, which was great. I was like, this close to by the big final thing. Yeah.
I held myself up. It's a great score by Genesir. Those little themes, paper through them, it's great. One thing also, all the aliens that we get, and let's talk a little bit about Proxima, Lady Proxima that now going back to the Harry Potter.
Oh, that's the only thing. And what are you doing? That's a rock. Yes, I can't ride.
Don't sit on forehand. He's a very crappy boy. So okay, not crappy, doesn't match, but the design of the character is great. And all the, and the other guy, Moloch, her henchmen, he's great.
And that J is at the beginning. Come on. My favorite alien in this movie. And I need to talk to him about him a little bit, because I love him.
It's Therm Scissor Punch. Therm Scissor Punch. What a ridiculous name, what a ridiculous design. But you know what?
I'm going to start growing my Therm love, because I've been shipping my love for Ben Quaternaro's, but I think it's time to wave that Therm flag, because I adore that ridiculous looking thing. It's just a lobster. They did it. They say, just make a giant lobster costume.
I don't care. Do you want to make a star with snow? Just make a lobster. Put some clothes on it and we're good.
I'll say this. I've talked a lot. I wrote a script for what I wanted, and Obi-Wan can always. He was in it.
He was a relatively big part of that. Substantial. He was a part of the crew. All right, since we're talking about Therm Scissor Punch, I might say something.
You want that? Oh, my goodness. I love Therm Scissor Punch. When we saw him the first time in those, they need scarreds or whatever.
We saw him for the first time. I love him. We saw him in the movie. But that's it.
I'll say, even though I haven't read the comics, I know he's in the Harry Potter comic book. I need to read it. I didn't need that. I don't need the backstory to Therm Scissor Punch being part of Masking Out of Scassle.
We, Masking Out of Screw, we freaking, Dext also being part of this. Like, why do we need that? History of all these characters. Just like being a weird lobster guy in four gypso, and that's it.
We don't need anything more. I mean, but it's not like he's suddenly the main character of the Harry Potter comic. Wait a minute. I'm like, oh, yes.
I'll just run out. Wait two, phase three. Hey, if they want to make Therm the face of phase three, I'll take it. If he comes, he's going to make out with Ava.
You're Chris. He's going to, yeah, no. If he starts just glowing away at the nameless. He's not going to be in phase three.
He's not going to be in phase three. All right. Oh, he's the secret one. He's not thinking about it.
He doesn't get affected. We just shot away. Mark is going to be like, we have a leveler, and Ava's going to be like, we have a Therm. I want to say something.
It's what is our path of vengeance, and I won't go. And Therm Scissor Punch is not in path of vengeance, but there's a lot of nameless and levels in path of vengeance. That's what? That's not in path of vengeance.
That's my scribble book. There's also, don't go to the after the prologue. It doesn't matter. But I said we talked a little bit about Alden.
Let's talk about Jonas Sowaromo as Chewbacca. That we had seen him before in last day. And of course, in Forza Wakens helping out with Peter Mayhew. Well, here is full on.
It's all Jonas, and he does a great job of that introduction. They got a beast, and it's just Chewbacca that apparently eats some troopers that they throw down there. The dew, when they said, oh, we're trying to the beast. And that seems to be Chewbacca at that point.
I thought it was going to be a rancor just to go with the same store. I was surprised to see Chewie down there. I honestly don't even remember. So sorry about it.
I can't remember what I thought it was going to be. I was shocked by the... You know, it came later, but I wasn't overwhelmed with him talking tree work. Weird choice.
Very weird. But we all... I don't know if we've always asked our hands-on their hands-on to Varka. But at that point, I know a little.
But it gave us my favorite star, which is not a curse word, but my favorite insult, which is move milker. I just love it. It's like you main jicachee and move milker. I just love that.
It's a very specific and weird insult. That's very weird, yes. All right. So let's go into Donald Glover.
We talked about this a little bit. 99% of people love Donald Glover as Lando, and he's a great actor, great singer and everything. Do you enjoy his portrayal as Lando and will transition that into... Do you think we're ever going to get that Lando series?
I know they keep mentioning it. Yeah, we're just waiting. Donald is very busy. Do you think that might happen at some point?
It's just, yes, David, we're really not pushing forward. Okay. Let me... What do you want a Lando series?
Maybe that. Oh, yeah, sure. Yeah, definitely. A character...
Lando is a character I love. So if they want to do the show and Donald Glover wants to do it, awesome. Yeah. I always say that I like Alden more than Donald.
It's true, but my issue with Donald Glover is that I think he was doing a very good imitation of ability, where I think Alden was making the character his own. And I think that's why people love it, because he's very faithful to ability. And Alden came in and took some... made some acting choices of his own.
But his choice, he's the actor he's the one getting paid to do it, so that's totally fine. And yeah, I hope we get that show. Are we going to get it? I don't know.
I think the intention is yes, we want to make the show. I don't know if it's going to happen. Yeah, I don't know. It's the more years it passed and the more they move away from this group of characters with the Rey movie taken out 10 years after last we saw Lando.
And then the other movie, a thousand years before, whenever it is. And then the... the Filoni one. I don't know.
It's five, six, seven years from now. Oh, we're finally going to do Lando. I was a movie around TV show. I don't know if people are going to be that interested.
I like Lando as a character. He was never in my top five, top 10. He's never been one of my favorites. So I'm okay if we don't get the show.
I love him as this friend to hand, that foil to hand. He and Ben the lead is not something like yes, finally. But I can give me the show and then I'll go... I'll do my review based on those merits alone.
Yeah. They should do a kid show with Lando. And after the colour is in, kind of goes to be the silliest things ever. Yeah.
Just make an anime like... like... Jan-Jaiya Avengers just like that. For sure.
I think he did a great job as Lando. I agree on the person that he was doing not an imitation about what he thought that Billy Dee might have sounded at that point. By the way, he was very good at that by the way. Yeah.
I'm not saying he's on it. No. All the credit in the world. But also I keep hearing some other psychopasking by...
