The Berlin's built on hoods! And welcome to another episode of Ready to Rebel! The only star was Von Danse, and it's not only Star Wars, but it's not only Star Wars, we are here talking Star Wars. I am your host, and I'm back to Canada and thanks for joining us today, and as always, we're Dostin's our friend, F.S.D.A.S.D.I.O.S himself.
O.T.A., how are you doing today, O.T.A. I am doing good. I'm a little bit of an acid reflux. Ooh, no, no, why?
It's not good, wait a minute. I'm not saying that. I've had acid reflux since I was like, three months old. Everyone's like, you're so young for, you've been dealing with it for my whole life.
Yeah, I think it was all your hot takes. I don't know what acid reflux was. Yeah, I once my son has it, and not too bad with his control now, but there was a time he had to take some pills and stuff. So, yeah, I get it.
That's from three months old or whatever. Minus horrible. Alright, we were just talking before we started. Some of our friends out there in the Star Wars podcast community are just getting the notification that they'll be back on the Star Wars celebration stage in London, so good luck and congratulations to all of them.
Hopefully, they have a great time over there. Hopefully, we get to do that at some point and it's also to us. I really want to go to the celebration. That's something I really want to do.
It's hard because it's usually on April, March, and that's tax season. And we're no longer doing taxes, but in audit, that's what they call this season. It's a bad time for me. Yeah, maybe they'll go to Puerto Rico one day, and then you can just sneak out.
Hey, let's be real about this. We're going to be a cool destination if they did it in the convention center because we have the big hotel right in front of it. The convention center is pretty big. And they have other new hotels.
Now we have the district. That'd be a pretty cool place to do it. I mean, it's nice. I haven't got to celebration, but when was it 2002?
Or something that was a sci-fi convention in Puerto Rico? It's something like Star Wars convention. If you say so, I don't know. I went 20 years ago and that's when I met Peter May.
The only time I met a Star Wars actor, I got his autograph and everything. So that was a good one. It was a very small one. Yeah, they do something Star Wars related every couple of years.
And they usually bring, I think Billy Dee was here last time. Yeah, this was your science fiction in general. It wasn't even Star Wars. He was there as a Star Wars one.
There was one. I was going to say 2005 or 2006. And Ray Park was there, I think Daniel Logan was also. But I didn't get the autograph.
I was out of work. Anyways, do celebration of Puerto Rico. It's a dope place. Yeah, it will give me a reason to go back.
I need to. That's not going to go back. My kids keep asking, I'm going to go back. I mean, I'll go because we don't know where we came from.
Anyway, if you watch this. I don't want to back that. No, no, no. Let's check Star Wars.
But make sure you subscribe. It was a comment down below of all the topics we're going to be discussing today. It was a like whenever you get a chance to watch this. I'll listen to this on the other podcast when it comes out on Monday.
And then I think next week it's Star Wars podcast day, February 7th, I want to say. So our audio podcast for that episode next week will drop on a Tuesday, which is Star Wars podcast day. So we'll just be on the lookout for that. All right.
All day before we start, I tweeted something in a couple of days ago and you told me, hey, before we do anything, remind me about this story because we were unboxing a book at hand, Black Series last week. I have this joke with my friends and my girlfriend. So I'm an accounting, I'm a CPA and I work for a very big firm. So I have clients that are very big.
And sometimes I'm in calls with the CFO or the VP of a certain huge company talking about billions of dollars. And I always have this pinch me moment when I'm discussing the variance in assets or something. I'm like, here's the VP of this massive company listening to what I have to say because it's important. And yesterday was unboxing the car pay to action figure.
And sometimes during the calls, I'm like checking, is the Black Series preorder open? When is it going? Yeah. So you were saying that I wasn't like being serious and doing the unboxing.
Like even during my day job, I'm like, that's all he's doing. That's what we all do. But yeah, it does happen. You just want to make sure we don't, it doesn't sleep out doing one of those calls.
Yeah. All right. So I think it's time. So if you guys are ready, I'm not ready.
Let's talk Star Wars. And we started as always with Star Wars news. Star Wars news. First new story.
Oh, who's their friend, Brandon? It's your time for joining us. Brandon, ready to talk Star Wars? We always are especially on Star Wars Saturday.
So, this is funny because we kind of talked about this last week. Stacy Ridley was doing interviews. She has a new movie coming out. She had a Roninstone interview where they made some very badly worded, I would say, question regarding the last Jedi and Rasa Skywalker on base.
We can jump into it if we want to. But I think the big one is IMDB and as if she would ever return to Star Wars, and she said, I'm open to a phone call. You said last week we're talking about them on Lindelof Star Wars. What it might be?
And you said, what about episode 10? What did Stacy really comes back? And now we get this. Whoa.
Now, is this happening? I don't know if you know, I'm a huge lost fan. So, like, the fact that, let's just say it is episode 10, the fact that J.J. started the sequel trilogy and ended it and then they went Lindelof picked it up because they made loss together.
That would just blow my mind. So I mean, is it? Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't.
I'm very excited. And we have to talk about the last night's tweet. So Brian David's from the Hollywood Reporter, you know, it could be anything really. Like he could just be an officer and I'm like, guys, it was raining.
So I used to be a great tweet. Come on. And we had the gift of Ray in, in Nastra and Twitter, like otherwise. And that just started this massive speculation that they have news.
I've seen people like, oh, they probably were going to announce it. But then Lucas won't say that they showed in and pulled it off to celebration. I don't know. We don't know what's going on.
I don't have my speculative response that we shared on. So I'm going to go to where I want it. So I really hope it's true. I really hope.
And I told you, like, she has all that sequel trilogy money, but coming all the way home, London, San Francisco for lunch, like food in the US is not that good. Come on. You can do without whatever, whatever they have out there, California. It's too many coincidence.
That's right. Like back to back to back. One thing, I'll let it slide, but it's too many, too many. And again, you mentioned it 2025, if this movie comes out then, it'll be 10 years after the force awakens and five years in return, rest of Skywalker, it makes sense.
I see in different reports of people saying my reports, rumors, let me just leave it like that, that the sequel trilogy actors under characters would be back, but they wouldn't play a main part of just, we can learn the background, but just not the main characters, which I am kind of diffing on that. But come on, it's too many things going up for lunch, this interview now that report, which I saw probably like three hours ago, because I went to sleep early. I didn't check two years, and it's about eight o'clock. I was in the middle.
I was in the sleep after I saw it. I was like, how am I supposed to go on? Yeah. I'm actually a lot of people freaking out.
Let me check who this guy is. Oh, okay. He has some merit to this, but I think it's gonna happen. And I don't buy anything that they were gonna make an announcement and look at the new cell that this if this is happening, it's 100% is gonna happen at celebration.
Like we always say, they're gonna announce this gonna be a celebration. If not, you might not be having a look. Yeah, it is right around the corner. It's gonna be like, unless they're gonna show something huge in celebration, like hold that announcement for.
So let's just say it is, basically at least coming back, it's probably like they'll do the announcement in celebration. And like 10 seconds later, Hollywood Reporter drops one of those big articles up there. Yeah. Yeah.
So maybe that's what it is, but I'm excited. And I'm sorry, but like you, I'm very skeptical with bringing them back for a minor role because they are these gods for lack of a better word. But I'll trust the creators on this and how they use them because I don't want to be back in not my Luke territory. Oh, no.
It, go ahead. I was gonna say I'm not comparing them at this point. And by then I mean the big three to the big three from the original, right? I'm not going that far so far.
But one of the biggest critiques of the sequel to is that the main cast from the original to the list, which were the big selling point, didn't have that huge part to play. Yeah. And so it was in the force awakens look in last day and then unfortunately with the pastor Carrie Fisher, they had to move things around, but it was some focus on Princess Leia in the last one. And all of them unfortunately died by the end of their movie.
If and a lot of people said what they just focus on the main guys, if they do the same thing here, I think it's a misstep. At least the first movie should focus on either if Ray is coming back, focus on her and then you can slowly do it transition to these new characters. Don't bring them back for just a background part. I was just having this conversation with a group of friends.
And what I said was that I think one of the biggest mistakes Lucas filmed it with the sequel is that the movie was creating the expectation that the movie was going to be about them. And the truth is the reason their background characters is that they are there to support Ray's story and Finn's story and post story. That's really their role. It's not their movie.
It's not Luke's movie or Hans's movie or Leia's movie. It's these new characters movie. And I've always thought that in maybe 20 years they would come back and play the same role in supporting role for the new generation. So for me it'd be kind of weird because yeah, it's been 10 years since Force awakens, but in a way we just met these characters.
And it'd be so weird to bring them back in a supporting role. Again, there's probably a way to do it that doesn't run me the wrong way. But doing episodes 10, 11 and 12 and them just being in the background is five years after Rises Skywalker for me. That'd be very, very, very weird.
Yeah, I don't see that happening. And I hope not. If you bring Ray back or Poe, Finn, all three of them, they should have, I hope, a very mid-mid role. Maybe if they're a co-lead or whatever, but they should focus on them seeing where they're taking their path now in the galaxy.
Hoping for this. Dale! Dale's back. He's been stressing out because he's been blocked for some reason from our chat.
And I don't know why. If you go to our last episode, I'm sorry we're diverting. He sent me a comment saying, hey, for some reason I blocked for your chat from another show that he watches his blog for some reason. He doesn't know why.
Like, why the hell is Dale blocked? Can I check on my thing? He's not blocked. But he's back.
Thanks for joining us, Dale. Glad to see you, Dale. Glad to see you. Let us know everything that's been going on with you.
Anything else? Yeah. I just want to... Yeah.
But that wasn't available. Again, a lot of people didn't like it because it's not my channel. You can have him back flipping like Jod and Count Dooku. To me it makes sense.
I don't mind. I don't mind that they killed them all. Psychotic. But to me it makes sense for the story that we're thinking.
This is to further raise journey. It had been done a better way, sure. But I understand why it happens even if there were only three movies. We've had those characters for 30 years.
We're almost 40 for some of them. So there were all these comics, books and all that stuff. So it was okay to move away from them. If now, five years away from right to sky, okay, you start killing off Ray, Poe and Finn.
No, that's a complete waste of characters and potential for further stories. So really how that doesn't happen and this story is kind of focused a little bit more on them. I always say I don't want Ray trying to start another JLA school. I know JLA can't wait to make that doesn't make sense for her journey.
We'll see what happens. People want her to train Finn to show that Finn is a JLA. Maybe explore that little bit more because I kind of just hinted at it a little bit. We'll see.
Just don't kill them off. If they kill them off now, yes, I'll be very hungry. Raise my age. I'm not even 30.
Oh, no. Then you start having all those existential questions. How long you're going to leave. Bring back, Men Solo.
Don't use the world between worlds. Okay, if this is Ray's movie, we're just going to keep running with this until we end up of Story's Hotel. If this is Ray's movie, are we getting Ben Solo? Even if he's a trilogy, do you think Ben Solo comes back?
I don't want him to come back. I love Ben Solo. I love his journey. I love the character.
But for me, his death meant something and I know people will be like stabbing me with their minds. But for me, that was the completion of Anakin's arc. He did what Anakin could never do because he saved Ray because it was the right thing to do. Not because he couldn't let her or it was this burning passion.
No, he's like, she can't die. The galaxy needs her. If it takes my life, then so be it. For me, that's why what happens.
It validates the point that bringing people back to life is a light side thing. Not this thing that dark side is going to do. Yes, that is a part of life. But in that moment, it's a selfless act from Ben Solo versus Anakin who could never bring back that maybe because his reasoning was all wrong.
It's a little bit fairy tale to think about it that way. But started as a fairy tale. Yeah. All right.
I'm going to start with you have a little bit of an echo. I don't know if it's your microphone or something, but a little bit. Just saying. While you work on that.
I don't want to do it. I was just leaving. It's not too bad. If you're in the chat, let us know if it's bad for you guys.
Since I don't want the Raylos on my back. I'll just let you take that brunt of it. And I'll say Ben Solo will be back. I think there's so much people behind this wanting him back and the stories they could tell with him back.
I think they'll find a way. We know that Damon in the last minute in contact with a lot of people in Lucas. We won't come up with this story. So at least we won't have the issue with a lot of people have this issue.
We'll have this issue. We'll have this issue. We'll have this plan. Take that with a grain of salt.
But it kind of makes sense. I'll just say. I think there's a way to bring him back, but not to life. Having him as a force ghost or something.
There is kind of saying that the world between worlds is exactly where there's another option, but it will be essentially through the world between worlds. We'll see. That would open such a kind of warms. I don't want the world between worlds that reason.
Then everyone can just do whatever. We got the world between worlds. I'll just say, I don't think even Felonie knows how the world between worlds works. Do you think I love about it?
Let's just say it was one place. The mountain I got destroyed and no one else can go into it. So, all right, let's move on. Do you want to talk about the question that she was asked about race, Brian?
Just move on to the next topic. I don't know. If you want to talk about it, I'll talk about it. No, that's fine.
I just found it done. Yeah, I just saw the way it was worth it. I think the guy just wanted to. Right?
They don't know what they're doing. I like that. It was kind of stupid because she was the most positive out of all the cast on the race. It's kind of obvious.
Yeah, I know. She said it worked like this. It worked the other way. So, it's fine.
All right. I'll just say, I agree with Daisy. Yes, I mean, always. All right, so another actor that might not have a problem coming back to the franchise was Alden Enriche.
He's back at solo in an interview with Indywire. He was asked to ever plan or would love to come back at solo and he said, what is it? I'd be happy to, but who knows? You know, my love for solo, you know, that hashtags out there makes a lot to happen.
The director has said they started to come back. You want to sort of start to come back? Any chance that we get to see Alden Enriche play solo? Again, I'm moving a TV show.
All your drama. Can we get him again? I mean, we've been asking this question since it came out and bombed and everyone was like, yeah, we'd like more. What happened?
She didn't say that it bombed. I mean, it did. Like he said, it's not about about the band. Like, it did.
Yeah. So, is there going to be something? I hope so. I love solo.
I really love solo, but I don't know. I don't know. I don't know what's happening with this. Honestly, I mentioned it a couple of minutes.
I'll agree with that streaming services are going to be gone sooner rather than later, but I don't know. But I don't know. Again, I hope so. I hope we see.
I love him. His Han solo. I've said it over the times. I think it's better than Glover's Lando.
So, again, it's a wishful thinking more than anything at this point. Yeah. I mean, an actor will always want work. These people don't want to work.
I think it's going to be a lot more than something. So, even I come back and play this part with this huge franchise that even though the first movie didn't make as much money as we want. All these different reasons that we kind of said, yeah, sure. Give me all that money.
I'll come back and play. Then I can take a launch to Lucasfilm for that money that you guys are giving me. If I have to choose, which I think is going to happen first, Daisy, going back as Rey or Alden Solo is Daisy 100%. Yes.
Because when you ask, sorry, there's a net flying around. People from Lucasfilm or even Ron Howard has been asked, and he talks about doing anything with And it's like, nah, there's been no talks about doing it. So I don't see this happening, unfortunately, for as much as I love solo. Solo Swagvian, he was coming up this year.
We'll do a show on it. It made, most likely, I don't see this happening, unfortunately. I love it, for him, and for all of us I love solo. I don't see this happening.
The Lando show, it's been silenced for years. I love that, with the Lando show, it's basically like, we're waiting for Donald Glover to not be busy. And he's like, I'm always busy. Yeah, it's past about, it's his fault.
And he'll just go back and forth. But yeah. With Star Wars, I'll just say, never say never. Because Han Solo, I've always said this.
Harrison Ford did not want to come back to Empire. He did not want to come back to Return on the Jedi. He did not want to come back to Forza Wiggins. And they got him to come back all the way up to Rise of Skywalker.
So, you know, weirded things have happened. Yeah, it's never say never. But the more time passed, the more it kind of goes down on my list of things that might happen in Lucas film. As he gets older, it's going to be hard.
Yeah, the closer he gets to that new hope. And I think with the way that Lucas film and Star Wars is pushing more technology and all this de-aging deep-fakes AI, I don't see them now going, OK, let's go and bring back all them. We can just DH Harrison Ford a little bit and then use deep fake for the rest, which I would really not enjoy. But I don't know.
That's the way that companies in Saramori comes to technology. So unfortunately, I don't see him coming back, although I would really like him to be back. We'll see. I love Saram so much.
All right. So our third and final news topic is another TV show from Disney Plus before it's just done as Otis saying, Skeleton Crew. Apparently according to, sold a crew from Skeleton Crew on separate Instagram posts, Stone Cold and the creator George Carlo and Stone actor Julian Apara celebrated the end of filming and I'm calling here saying, can't wait for the world to see what's in store. Skeleton Crew was announced last year at Celebration and now he appears to either be wrapped up or is starting to wrap up.
We're getting news about this at Celebration. Are we maybe getting a trailer or thing at Celebration 4? I can. I'll say I can guarantee it.
We're probably not getting it based on how many trailers last time, but I'll get the. The potato camera. We'll do it live here with your potato videos. OK.
We'll get those to send us some video from over there. It makes sense. This show has been in production even before they got announced. I think they already filmed it.
They have been some reports this past couple months and they have been some issues with productions and rewrites all this stuff. But that always happens. I'm very interested in this show, even though it's in them and they're not going to be a timeline. It's this Lois and Tecca is going to be there as the lead with all these kids.
I'm very interested to see what is story of this show. We don't know. So kids get lost and they have to find them. Well, I don't know what this is.
I would love if it's Lord's and Tecca. I love that theory, honestly. And I think it fits perfectly. I would love if it's Luke Academy thing related, because we know Luke and Lord's and Tecca are our buddies.
So I really can't wait to see. I love to lot. I think I said it a couple of times. I can't remember John Watts.
I love him. So again, we'll see what they made. And I can't wait for something concrete to show on it, because we really don't know anything about it. Like Brandon said on that comment, I put it back.
The only thing we know is he described as strangers things mid-star wars. I don't know if he just because it's kids running around 10 to 12 years old or the sci-fi mystic part of it. I know stranger things are a bit more horror than sour. Usually, that's for if this is a good one, go to kids show.
But very interested to see where this goes. Hopefully, it's that Luke, some of his kids went on a journey. They got lost, lost, lost, and Tecca's to go find them and give us some story around it. I just want to know.
I want something different in Star Wars. Even if it's this Mando timeline after Return of the Jedi, just give it to us. Thank you for your story. But yeah, 100% this is getting more coverage at Celebration.
Hopefully, we get some trailers. There are some prompts for us out here that won't be able to learn to London. All right, that kind of wraps up the Star Wars news for this week. So we go to our next segment.
And it's what's happening out during the TV world of Star Wars. Star Wars TV. It's on TV, the Bad Batch, episode 5, also known as Moana. I know people compared it to Indiana Jones.
I say, OK, what's the story of Moana? Someone goes to the? I have to say Moana. Oh, Jesus Christ.
OK, sorry. We're changing this to some Moana episode now. So for everyone out there has seen Moana, that rock who plays, Ma Wie, you know the rock, right? The only thing with that person is an actor.
Anyway, he goes to the heart of the island. I mean, to this island stills, the heart of the island is going to give him riches and superpowers. The island turns it to a giant creature monster that lays waste to everything. And the only way to put everything right is to put the heart of the mountain back inside where they took it.
And then everything goes back into place. Bad Batch, episode 5 and Tom, what do they do? They go on this mission to steal the heart of the mountain or the eye. Yeah, steal the heart of the mountain.
Take it off, a giant creature comes to guide you, lays waste, and they just have to put the heart back. In the end, Jones, Odie, what's this another filler episode? We love the whole. It was totally filler.
Yeah, it's one thing that we talked about. And I think when we first met that episode, like about weeks ago, is we don't know what to expect from this show. Is it a monster or the weak kind of show? Is it a serialized as a main storyline throughout?
And I think that's kind of the problem. And I enjoyed the episode for what it was right before the way I'm watching this show. But it's hard to know what to expect from it, because we don't know that trajectory that it takes. Is it a week to week adventure or is it a serialized?
I think I'm having trouble with that. No, I'm going to rephrase it. I'm not having trouble with it. But I understand why some people might say, I don't get it.
Just either what's going on, everything that happened at the end of season one, we haven't come back to it. So I don't know. Why don't you think about this episode and just that season so far? I think it's been a normal season, I guess.
I don't know, man. I just like, I push back at people freaking out that they're not loving the show totally. And I tell them, like, take home wars and watch one episode every week and see if you start freaking out. And you probably will, because there's a lot of nothing episodes.
I mean, I don't want to say nothing episodes, but you know what I'm saying? And I don't know. We'll have to wait and see. I'm waiting for the next big art to make my mind on, if I'm liking it or not.
Again, I like the first two episodes. I like the third episode. And these two, they were fine. Yeah.
I enjoyed last week more than this one. And I didn't enjoy it for what it was. Again, if this is it, if this show is adventure of the week, I'm fine with it, because I know what I'm getting. Just, I don't know what's going on.
But apart from that, let's talk a little bit about the episode. We have this pirate smuggler. Again, she showed up, I think, in episode two, in episode one, her name is Free Play by. One of the Sykes.
One of the Sykes that we go. And she goes like, hey, there's this legend. There's something out there. Actually, sorry, Raker and Omega are on this mission for her.
Time to get some parts or something in this joint joint planet. And they find a compass. Hey, this might be this legend. Let's go check it out.
So a lot of people quickly went to another look at Spion Franciartes, but Bash goes in Indiana Jones. And it makes sense. And again, for being an adventure of the week, it was fine. I don't think it added anything to the characters or to the story.
It was kind of funny that Hunter, the big tracker, couldn't solve a single rival. They don't know where they were going. He just seemed lost. And I thought, do you have this big tracker out there?
You can find anyone. What about if I was fine? Raker had some good jumps and one-offs, but nothing to go home and spend 20 minutes talking about. No.
They all have slots. Let's see them. I like that Omega is learning to work with different people. She learns about trust and the difference between blind trust and earning points.
OK, I like that. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know.
It's fun. It's seeing the bad batch on a fun adventure. But again, it's fine. Yeah.
And I'm OK if that's it. It's just one day. We know that Cody's going to meet up with them at some point. Rex is going to be there.
And then he's going to get serious again. And maybe by that point, I'm going to prefer that week to week. So I don't know. We'll see what happens.
All right. Any other thoughts on the bad batch? Spend like five minutes talking about it. No, not really.
I told you. I really didn't have that many thoughts on it. I have fun. So Saturday morning cartoons.
You make a connection. A lot of people are asking if that character. Yeah. I haven't played Jedi Fallen or I know the Sephup play a big part.
So I watched it earlier today after everyone threw in their theories on the set. So when I saw it, I was like, oh, the Sephup OK. All right. Thanks for the insight.
All right. So we'll see next week. I should have a list of all that. Let me talk to the people.
I find this real quick. Ah, yes. So it's not to find the best. Let me know in the chat.
What do you think next week's adventure is going to be? Is it going to be related to the main story? Are we going to catch up with Crosshair? We haven't seen them in two episodes.
Are we going to see them more this season than we saw in the last season? Let me know. Like and subscribe. Not notification though.
Yeah. Actually, don't forget that. So it's called the next episode is called tribe. It's definitely about Tatooine and the tribe.
Give me some more Tuscan trailers. Oh, we have a lot of stuff. Johnky and the tribe. Oh, there we go.
Thanks. It might be good. Was it? Gunky coming back.
That's what you're going to say. I don't care. Are you soggy? I don't care about.
I know everyone freaked out when they say I saw Gunky on the trailer. I guess I'm just an old. You're just an old better man. Yeah, Gunky and his...
I'll probably love it when he shows up. But I'm not a high gun game, my childhood. I'll be honest when I saw him. I was like, Gunky, I was like, Gunky, I was like, Gunky!
Yeah, that's one. Burying is the only book he's ever cared about. Where is Burying? That's what I want to know.
He's at the bottom of the ocean swimming. No. He's alive. I'm a big believer that he's alive.
He's alive. Those bookies have big lungs. He took a big gober bear and went down to get Stell and Gios. And they're on the other side of that planet.
And the definitive selling deals is dead. And what he's like, maybe... He just went flying with the Rat Star. He's alive.
I can wait for him to get back. Alright, so yeah. Bad batch, it's okay. And okay, show.
I'm happy for the people that love this show. And this is their Star Wars. There's a lot of people out there. I don't get it.
But I'm happy for them. I'm with it. That's... And occasionally really like it.
Alright, so I forgot to write something here. So let me write this real quick. That's not Star Wars. Star Wars.
Star Wars. I'm constantly right. Star Wars. Alright, so bad batch.
Next week we'll talk about it. But from now we're moving to our main topic of the week, which is Star Wars movie titles. Where's my graphic? There you are.
Star Wars movie titles, aren't they? There's like 14 or 15 different Star Wars movie out there talking the Clone Wars movie, Rogue One, Solo. There's a lot. A lot of titles.
But last week or this past week was the anniversary of when the last JLA was announced. For the title for episode eight, the last JLA was announced earlier this week. I don't know what, six years ago. So that's when I said, you know what, you should talk about titles.
Why people get so emotional and invested on Star Wars titles? Why do you think this is a big deal for us? Fun fact, the last JLA title reveal was the first tweet. Let me check.
It was a first... Here we go. History. Come on, don't be such a grumpy man.
It was the first tweet I ever saved on my... Ooh. Very cool. And I could have just checked the date and did it.
It was on January 23rd, 2017. There you go. Yeah, I got a notification from Facebook from whenever January 23rd, tweeting it out. But I'm not sharing against on Facebook.
You're fired. What I do. You're on the show, I guess. Okay.
Let's talk titles. So why do we get so emotional with titles? I don't know. I think when titles are revealed, I think we're usually desperate for information on the movie because Star Wars is all about the secrecy.
Everyone blames J.J. for the secret box, but Star Wars is always about what's going to happen, who's going to die, who's going to do. So I think that we're so desperate that we begin to, you know, pick it apart. I remember when last year I came out for us Spanish-speaking people.
I was like, what's the title in Spanish? Because that's kind of important. And it came out. It was a Los Uteemos-Jella, which means plural.
Because I was saying the thing is it's plural, it's singular. So yeah, I don't know. I love a good title reveal, but I'll get ahead of myself and I'll say, I don't like any of the secret trilogy names. Ooh, we're going to get that.
I don't like any of them. All right, we're going to get there soon. I just saw the last J.J. title reveal.
When I shared that on Facebook, my caption to it was, oh, red fonts. We're getting safe vibes from this. And everyone's here. We go.
See if I come in or something. Lookie saying the J.J. I have to die. And it wasn't.
It was a dark movie. It was a dark movie. But it wasn't the way, at least I was expecting because a lot of the rumors were, oh, and came to a bag when we didn't know what's came to a bag. Lookie's there.
He's throwing nights off rain or people in robes just throwing them from stairs. He's using their force. He's fighting all these seats or dark acolytes and oh, it's going to go down. We didn't get that.
But it was a great title when it came out with that trailer. I think it got a lot of a spice of price that then going into the movie said, what are we going to get, especially with the red font and everything that means? But I don't, I'll be honest. I'm like, why don't they just give us a title when they say we're getting the new Sowis movies coming out this date and then we have to wait like five months for the title.
I'm like, yeah, just give it to me. I don't need this big production for it. I think that sometimes they just don't have it yet when they make the movie. Sometimes the title, I mean, look at the revenge of the Jedi thing with episode six.
So I think that's why they wait with the rise of sky. I didn't like that with the rise of skywalker that they waited for the trailer to actually reveal the title. Again, they're making the angry, but like just when you have it, give it to us. Yeah.
We'll talk. Let's go buy trilogy and then we'll add some things. So let's talk about the pre-culture legends. We're going to highlight this coming by Brandon because we'll get into his, he said that he remembers when everyone scream about Attack on the Clones, you would have thought somebody died.
So we have the Phantom Menace Attack on the Clones and Revenge of the Sith coming back. Like you just mentioned, Return of the Jedi. Jedi don't have revenge. So we couldn't call that.
So the revenge title came back. What's your favorite from this story? And we can talk about their meaning or you thought they meant, do they fit the actual movie? Just think about the pre-code titles.
I love the Phantom Menace title. I love it. It's, even as a kid, I was like, you know, I've spoken English. Since I was like five.
But again, the Phantom Menace were like bigger words than I was used to. I was like, what does it mean? And you know, all these Star Wars title were Star Wars related, the Clones, the Sith. And this one was like different.
And it stood out to me because of that. And now like thinking about it, I really love it. It's, you know, it's multi-purpose. I think it's referring to Palpatine, but it's also referring to the Sith.
It's referring to Anakin. So I don't know. I really, really love that title. Yeah, I would say, I thought I would say, I think revenge on the Sith.
We got to go. I think it's a great title. I think about it just, you know, overall, what it means to the Phantom Menace is a great title. For the things that you mentioned, when it came out, we didn't know what it meant.
I was, this came out in 1999, I was 19 at the time. Oh, that's Vader. Of course I'm talking about Vader. And then you get all the, no, maybe it's the Sith are hiding.
No, it's Palpatine. And it can be all three. It can be something else. We just like, great title because it gets everyone talking what it means.
And it could be any of those. But it just, again, it's what the hell are we going to get in ourselves into? This is Star Wars. It's supposed to be hopeful.
And you get this title and it just works so great. We mentioned the Sith had to bring revenge back, talking about red and orange. I love that title. I love the movie with it.
It was really on the nose. And I knew what was coming. I think that it's an OK title. There wasn't really an attack of the clones in the movie.
So you can. I mean, they arrived. The arrival of the clones in the middle of the battle. There was an issue with that title, like Brandon said that some people just worked out of it.
I don't remember people. I mean, I wasn't on social media that time, right? But I don't remember people going, that's about it. But I don't understand which kind of a, yeah, it's OK.
I have a different title. Sorry. I'm not taking your time. I'm not.
Didn't have my second copy today. So I've had the clones. I'll say it's my least favorite Star Wars title. Because I don't think it reflects like what the movie really is.
And so that's like my right with it. But I don't hate it. Like it's fine. Yeah, I don't hate it.
