Stopping drinking doesn’t instantly fix your life2. One coping mechanism often exposes another3. Sleep improves - but not overnight4. The gut-brain connection is huge5. Addiction is as much about the nervous system as the substance6. Most people cared less about me not drinking than I expected7. Space changes people8. Recovery is learning to be with yourself9. You cannot control life10. Victim mentality keeps people stuck11. Language matters more than most people realise12. Family systems don’t automatically change because you do13. Some people become uncomfortable when you stop self-destructing14. It is not your job to manage other people’s feelings15. Thoughts are not facts16. An overactive mind can learn peace and presence17. Alcohol was never the real problem - it was the solution18. Healing is not linear19. Self-awareness without action changes nothing20. Humans need understanding, not just shame and willpower21.
