Rebellion's built on hook. And welcome to a very special episode of Raider Rebellion Star Wars podcast. Today we are Doctor Hoopakas I guess. I'll be host of Doctor Gadirana, no worries.

All the arcos will be here shortly, he's on his way. But yeah, it's Star Wars Saturday, actually. He's a Doctor Who Saturday today. If you guys know we've been talking, maybe there's no Star Wars news just to take a little week.

Oh, a little break. It's Christmas time, there's a lot of things going on, so we're going to be taking a break. Anyways, all the way I can wait for him to get here because he's been getting to Doctor Who finally after. I don't know how many times we talked about it here.

I think he watched the whole series with the ninth Doctor with Echosun. So we're going to talk about that today and of course, while Blue Yonder, the new episode that dropped earlier today. We'll talk a lot about that and a little bit of Star Wars, not much. Just as always, if you guys are watching today, thanks for being here.

Make sure you subscribe to our channel so you don't miss any new episodes from the drop. Hopefully, every Saturday, if we take a break when we come back, you'll get notified. Like this video and if you're watching us later on the recap, make sure you subscribe. And leave us a comment down below and any topics that we talk about to them, anything else you might want us to know about or talk about.

And if you're listening to this on the other podcast, that's always, thank you so much. And make sure to leave us if you can. I'm rating, review, Apple podcast, Spotify, I don't know, wherever you listen, good part, wherever you listen to. But we're going to get into that in a few minutes when Otte gets here.

Like I said, no real Star Wars news. We might talk about some trailers, a lot of trailers dropped today. Today's episode is all about the war between fandoms, everything outside of Star Wars. Star Wars related, the bad season three, there's a lot of buzz, but people are thinking that a trailer or at least announcement might be happening soon.

The Star Wars Twitter account, which usually doesn't post a lot of bad batch media, anything out there, post something like, Oh, we're at the end of the year or whatever. Can't remember exactly what the post was about, but they use an image from the bad batch. So people started getting hyped for that, that kind of brothers, I think yesterday really posted a post saying that they're almost done finishing mixing the season three of the bad batch. So there's a little bit of us were bad batch going on.

Some people are saying that's getting them crews getting pushed to later in the year. So maybe bad batch goes a little bit earlier. And also I could I wish I wouldn't, wouldn't be opposed to well, I think bad batch might be a little bit closer than we think. Alright, so let's see who's out there today.

A couple of guys, our friend Alan is here, Alan and Jane, what's that growing in noise? What's that growing in noise, right? I don't know. Alright, and Dale, how you doing Dale?

Thanks for being here. And our friend Brennan is also here. Alright, what do you mean Dale? Your notification sign is taking on my list for some reasons.

It wouldn't be a little early. I don't know, it's YouTube. Don't throw fights at it. Sometimes I'm being clicking if I'm on my personal account, I just go to our videos here.

I do whatever I want to say. To give it an extra view and I'm sorry. It's not taking myself. It just pops up and no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

I don't see Alan. Like I said, I love that. Don't know what I got to say today. Alright, so we'll hear when that, just announce the bad batch yesterday.

Hopefully the bad batch which season two, which for me had some ups and downs. I think I'll go into this season very open minded. I'm gonna put all my stuff aside for a bad batch season three. I'm pretty excited about that drops.

Alright, so talking about Star Wars, no news like I said, but I was fortunate enough to receive from Penguin Random House. Penguin Random House, Penguin Random House, Audio. The new audio books for Outdone Flight and Survival Squats. Both Legends book by Timo Tisson.

More Thron which I've kind of been on the down-clang, but I'll take it. I'll take it. Of course, Maraisle, Mark Thompson. And I started Outdone Flight.

I think this book originally came out in 2006, maybe 2009, I think 2006. But it's the first time I think that's a full audio book with all the music and the special effects. I'm like four or five chapters in. Really enjoying it.

I'm from the kind of Thronbook. So far so good and what's going on in the Republic and the Jedi and all that. It's very interesting. So hopefully I'll finish that soon and then I'll have a full review for it here.

And then I'll start survival squares in a few days or a couple of weeks I would say. Alright, and again for everyone out there, if you have any questions or comments about anything we're talking about, let us know on the comments. And also, like I said, when we started, all the guys got into the booth so he's here. We're gonna do a full long, I don't wanna say full long because it's been a while since I watched it.

But we're gonna do a full discussion about series one that returned to what's known as Nihu. So I can't wait to see what he says. Alright, so while we wait, if you guys are ready, I'm not ready. Let's talk Doctor Who in a world between fandoms.

Alright, a world between fandoms. I can't believe I tried to change the name of the podcast for today or something. I don't know, it's not Star Wars, it's all the stuff that we love. Like I said, at the end of this we'll talk a bunch of trailers dropped today.

Also the Dragon Season 2, the Boys Season 4 Trail Fallout from the video game also dropped and that announcement for the final season of Star Trek Discovery Season 5, I think it's from now in April. So I think I'll clip also like a 32nd or a 1 minute clip drop. So a lot to talk about at the end of a world between fandoms. Yeah, and you're right, every season of Doctor Who Season 1, I heard people complain you can't call it Season 1, because Season 1 then it's the original Doctor Who, if not you have to call it series 1, which is what we're gonna try to call it, I just call it Season 1.

And yes, for just a trailer dropped today, I wanna hear all these views on it. I know it was very iconic on Twitter when it dropped, it was, and I watched it, I liked it, I was like it was over the moon, like everyone. I probably have to watch it again, I just watched on the TV, I thought it was just on my computer, I did watch it on the TV. So we'll see.

Alright, so let's start with Wild Blue Yonder, the second episode of the 60 Anniversary Specials. We had the first one last week with the Star Beast, now we have this one today, they already released a small trailer, small clip of the last one for next weekend. Ah, I'm under so much. So let me say to see David Tennant again, leave and regenerate, but very excited for the new season where it's all, whatever we're gonna call it.

So this episode today, Wild Blue Yonder as we know last week ended with the Doctor and Donna going into the new Toy Days, and Donna saying, oh, this is all got fired from my job because I dropped this cup of coffee on my boss's computer and she goes and dropped the whole cup of the Toy Days console, the Toy Days goes crazy, so it's spewing fire everywhere, it just takes them off. So this story is very doctorable, let's go to 1666, to a big important event with a famous person like Donna says a couple minutes later that, do you set that to famous people? I just like Newton, who's not Sir Isaac Newton at the moment, sitting under a tree and then an apple falls on his head and it's time to get in love. What might this be?

And of course it's the Toy Days that landed on the apple tree, causing the follow the apple and gravity, mamity, shimamity, whatever they were saying. So very cool episode, story to the episode and then they just kind of fly off to, he thinks they're going back on because Donna wants to be there. She just left her daughter, her mother and her husband over there. But they end up in this space station, just crashes in this space station.

And I get to say, I love just TV shows and movies that happen in space station, there is so 3B, so different, because it's all have to do with mental things. People have been in space station for too long, so it will go crazy. We've had multiple episodes of Doctor Who that happened on space station, so it directly ships, and also some of my favorites because you're in a close environment, minimal Casio, the whole episode, the actual reflect, without the, I say Newton thing, everything is just the Doctor and Donna. And I just got the Doctor's name and you'll put it on just, excuse me, from a little bit, the lieutenant.

It's just them. So we've talked here and all about other movies and TV shows and episodes about just minimal Casio, we just focused on one or two characters and that's just great. And this is just that's what I'm just taking the lead and currently sold episode 45 minutes or whatever it was, like 15 minutes actually. But I love like I was saying, I love every episode that happens on a space station because it's usually something very personal that you have to deal with.

And this episode was the same. So they get there, they told this, you know what, I'm tired of you guys, crashing me everywhere and dumping coffee. I'm just gonna, it's just you, that it's an artist here. All that.

It gets in the way. And just, it's just like, all day right now, what's it talking, it's just crashing into that space station out of nowhere. All day, how are you doing today? I'm doing good.

I've had a very crazy day. I'm currently without a phone. I texted you from my iPad. It's been a while, but whatever.

Okay. All right. You missed the intro. I've been on the intro at the end.

All right, you'll have to go back and watch it. So, so what's up? I don't know. Everything is trailers, every 5 minutes, I'm new movie trailer, TV show trailer dropping.

Not all Star Wars, but. I'm not a phone, so I have no idea what's happening. I saw the house of the dragon one. I saw the doctor who spoke over.

I don't know. All right. So I was gonna talk about it at the end, but if you haven't watched them, I mean, we're gonna talk about the house of dragon ones, but they fall out trailer also drop. Well, that one drop a couple days ago.

No, I thought something. I don't know if I was a tree or something. If there's any trailer, I would say, but I saw like a couple clips. It's a full trailer, two and a half minutes.

Okay, no, I don't think it was on. They released a couple pictures yesterday, I think like two or three with the just announcing the cast or the robot armor. I played full at once. So I don't know the whole story.

I know it's supposed to be apocalyptic world and the big boy, whatever the little kid is in all the promotions. You might lose me for a second. Let's see. There we go.

And the voice was coming out to you. How was it? It's good. It's very, you know, the voice is extremely political up today to what's happening.

And with the ending of last season, kind of piece right there with the countries divided and you need to bring anyone just to fight him and then you're the one to save that day and then you're the hero. So, so you were talking about the special right now? I started talking about the special. Yeah.

Okay, let's talk about that. We'll talk about the trailer. All right. So, what will you under?

I'll just talk a little bit about Sir Isaac Newton or he wasn't Sir Isaac Newton and then we're crashing into the space station. So before that, I was saying how much I love TV shows and movies that happen in space stations. It's this close quarter environment. Usually it's minimal cast.

This whole episode was just a tool that carried everything. And it usually has to do with people losing their minds and having to do with something very personal that I have to solve. And I know you just started watching Dr. Hoofen and I'm so excited to talk about that first season.

But it's a lot of episodes that happen on space stations or derelict ships and the old rates, some of my favorites. So this one runs right there. So just initial impression for a while, no other. I liked it a lot.

I think it's interesting because since I've seen like a whole season now, I'm starting to get the feel of how it's now where the first fight I was like, where is this going? Like how is this move? But yeah, I like Wild Blue Yonder. Yes.

I like it a lot because it felt like a bottle episode because it's really just Donna and the doctor in a station that's really all that's going on. And there's another creature, but it's also Donna and the doctor. And through that, we get some very interesting conversations between them. So it's, I think it was a very clever episode to pull off.

I really, really liked it. And it did something that's one of the things that has hooked me with the show. I love how with all the craziness and silliness, the show still stops for a minute to think about what's happened. And I love that this episode is basically all about how are you doing with everything that's happened, which I don't know about because I'm starting to catch up.

But it's like, yeah, I can see that this guy has been doing this forever basically. Yeah, and it's that part of you won't know because what they referenced the flocks and the temperature. That's the way with Joey, right? Yeah.

And like the last season. So it's like 12 seasons still to catch up. And they didn't hank on that a lot, but it was a comment, which is great because a lot of people have been complaining, oh no, the Rosalty Davies is coming back. They're erasing with the 13 daughter.

And this is the second episode that the doctor kind of, I didn't mean it. I'm doing this now for his kind of saying that. And kind of putting people in defense in a mood that, okay, the next doctor, which is played by a guy who might go there. Oh, I didn't know.

So actually it was very hot. Wait, it's just like, oh, God, I always thought there was something and then the toys started leaving, which is something has happened before, but not to this extent. But wait, you notice the mavity thing? Yeah.

I thought that was going to be like the big reveal that it's because with Echo Sun, I noticed the whole they tease things like little by little. But I wonder if that's just is that just going to be like a running gag or something. So I'm in the same boat. I thought it was going to have because he said gravity and this is like what?

Oh, mavity. So I thought we were going to play into it a little bit more. It might be something just got planted today and it will get resolved in the future because like you said, you see it with Echo Sun, it just happens to the whole doctor who. So I wouldn't be surprised if that plays out because I thought if it was just a gag, it would be a little bit more noticeable.

It just came out of nowhere. So Newton says it, but the doctor says it like one. No, no, no, no, no. One day left.

Near the end of the episode, he says mavity like randomly. It's just like natural. Yeah. So I don't know if it will be something that because when they get back to Earth at the end of the episode, things have gone to hell.

So who knows maybe they made a change or in the past and I was catching up with them. I love this episode. I don't want to start saying if I love this one more than the other one, but maybe it's rose gold glass because I just watched it. It was like a very it was very different to the previous one.

Oh, yeah. I get this. I like it because it was more personal. I think it leans into a different aspect of the show.

Yeah. I can't believe I'm talking about this. I like beside myself that I'm talking about Doctor Who. I'm so happy finally.

I can't believe what Tony's feeling right now. No, I have this funny. I have another friend and I taught her all about expanded universe. I was just a movie spurs and I remember I was like, I don't know if you're going to be into this, but there's an animated show.

I think you could be receptive to it and she she washer and she loved it and then she jumped to revel. So she's my go to person to just like day to day. Talk about Star Wars. So now she's happy.

I don't finally get into the Doctor Who because he's a huge, he's a cool. Yes, who we are. Talking about expanded universe and legends. I mentioned before I got advanced audio files because they're not talking about down to light and so I was quite so I'm like four episodes into all down flight back with song and withdrawn.

But this is a very different from the one from the Canon books at least right now. Are you liking it? Yes. I told you I stopped reading Air to the Empire.

I hope to finish it after I finished I have darkness, but it felt like a very different to me. And I actually quite I was quite liking what I was reading. Yeah, so far so good plus I like that there's an angle with the Jedi and the Republic and this is between five years after the Phantom Menace. So the Clone Wars have haven't started but there's a lot going on.

So I'm very interested to keep going. But what will you under? I love also when there's an some creature or something. It's not there because they don't know something's happening.

They didn't count down which the doctor. Yes. I was saying I was saying I knew it. But because he's not a reveal is that like every great horror thing does right?

It prays on your fears. You don't know what's following you. Yeah, there's a sound and as she is moving, there's a very slow doctor. I mean, robot does not do anything.

But then playing with the reveal of the other two those copies which you will get to eventually design episode called Night. No, midnight, which is also one of my favorites. Kind of similar ideas in terms of copies. But I love that.

I love how weird they are at the beginning. I'm trying to run and running and just like. Creatures. Yeah, so creepy.

It makes it so interesting. And then I love all the scenes trying to figure out who's the real doctor. All those are great. And I love the tag gag.

Oh, wait, I just on the floor. Oh, right. Things keep existing when you drop is so great. I something I've noticed from the show like whenever there's a mystery to the characters, the show puts the audience in the same mystery and keeps it missing.

I actually appreciated that. Yeah, that was very well played out. And every time there was a reveal, it was very clever. Like the whole typing like that was genius.

And it's also because the doctors usually the smartest person in the room, the clevers person, but then the more he thinks to try to fix the problem, then the other doctors start figuring out. And the more you think, then I can think also. And when they start just bouncing back and forth between the division to the copy, you know, just great writing. I love that when he figures out that they can't think.

He's like, don't think, don't think. And like you're the one that needs to be. That's like your whole thing. Yeah.

And they start asking them questions to get them to think when they see the pie not just. Oh, what do you want to do? I love it. I love the hoist face that was just floating around the skeleton hoist and like, I want to see that guy.

Oh, girl, because it was I want to see the whole spaceship. Yes, yes, yes. Oh, captain. And then at the end, I love that we got to see Wilfred finally.

Great. Because I also know the other meme. Everything for Donna is wanting to get back. She didn't want to leave because every time I leave something happens.

And of course something happened, but it's just getting back to her family. She's like, well, Rose will probably visit and then she will go do all these things and she will visit once a year. And then eventually she will kind of throw it up. And now what about Wilfred?

Oh, he'll be there waiting on his wheelchair with his cup of coffee, which or thermos, which he also had in the other season. And that's what we find. And she's like, I told you, very emotional, especially when you see those episodes when you see him come back or linally, then you'll get those emotions on the other end. But a great reveal.

And then of course everything is going to help. So, and I was, I know Donna wasn't going to die. So I'm going to bring him back to killer. But it was very interesting that they waited till the end.

Yeah, we tricked you. And the only one is actually one on the target. So like, he's exploding is an extremely long hallway. I don't know.

Something might happen. So she wasn't going to die, but it did kind of trick me a little bit. Did you think anything might happen to her? I didn't really like that.

Take out because, you know, she's not going to die for a little second. Is that really kind of like, I wasn't sure. But I don't know. I would have liked the doctor to like, no, like, I've been like too long.

Just let him calm down. Yeah, maybe that right when she gives her her hand on my every invariant. But all you know, I loved it. I will talk about when we talk about season one, a lot of special effects.

They're getting a lot better. Oh, I was watching like the Christmas special of the first season, like this morning, like night and day. I mean, it's been like 15 years. I was watching that.

Well, yesterday, which is also on a space station, like again, night and day. But I'll wait. I'll say my comments when we talk about that. So there's already a clip for next week's episode.

We see that toy maker. We see no Patrick Harris there. He's like, oh, doctor, we need again. I don't know where this is going.

I know a lot of people are waiting for cameos. That's a big staple of all these big anniversaries. There was one, I think, the 50 year when Matt Smith was a doctor during the anniversary. And then they then showed up.

Sorry? That's someone with a war doctor. Yeah, well, also, Tenant showed up there. And so you have like three doctors working at the same time.

It's great because it's the three there at those different stages. So everyone's waiting to see what's going to happen. That way he set up. I don't know if it freaks out in another doctor, but I haven't seen any leaks.

Any rumors, so very excited for next week. All right. So with that. Let's go to series one, Otis.

So last week we talked about how you were giving Dr. Who another chance you've tried it before. I hadn't worried, but you were going to watch this season because you made this deal with Tony. He watched how so they dragged on.

So you're watching this one. And I think, and you said you really enjoyed it. And the next day you're like, here we go. I'm pressing play on series one.

I'm going to go see some mannequins come to life. So where did this all come from? And this journey that you've made us for a week. I'll tell you.

I was I wasn't thinking of giving the show another chance. I was just I told Tony, we're just doing the the specials. And my promise was if I like it, I'll keep watching until I don't like it. And this was on Saturday.

On Monday we do our review on our podcast. And I said it's recorded. It's there. I said that I was not thinking of watching the show from the beginning.

Like this wasn't like we're getting back together. So I go to work. I didn't have a bad day. I had a long day.

I got home and I was reading. I was doing my free time. And when I got home and I made dinner, I sat down and read. I was like, I don't want to read.

I don't want to think. And that's when I was like, oh, no, I'm going to click play. And I didn't even text anyone because I didn't want to get anyone excited. So I just like sat down and started like where's it streaming because I thought it wasn't in this cause it wasn't.

It wasn't it's in Max. And I played the first episode. I took a picture of it. I'm going to wait until it's done just in case because I remember playing that episode and 15 minutes in being like, not for me.

And I watched it. I was like, okay, it's time. I said, do the picture. I sent it to my other friend.

And they were like, no way. And again, I was just like, maybe it's just like a today thing. Then the other day came and I was like, yeah, I guess I'll watch it. Then here I am already my first regeneration.

Oh, man. I want to talk at the end about, you haven't gone to the next season, right? You just finished. I watched the first one when the last human Cassandra comes back.

Oh, man. So now that you've watched, at least at the beginning, because the first few episodes, yeah, there's not the greatest. You got a walking mannequins. You have the stretched out Cassandra, just a piece of skin and the eye of bow.

It's very weird. And making the idea of getting shoved into a trash can and all those stuff. I was going through your mind just watching or what change, I guess, from the other time you've tried to watch it to now saying, I'm going to give it a chance and just basically bingeing a whole season in a couple of days. I actually tweeted about this.

I've been thinking about it. I think it has to do a lot with how I've changed in the way I think about Star Wars. I think the last time I tried to watch Doctor Who Has to Be 2017, which was right around that time when I started changing the way as he's Star Wars and embracing Vasilina as an, you know, all the non-cool aspects of the franchise. So I think maybe this time I'm more open to the Ridiculous and maybe even enjoy it.

But I did like a very conscious thing about the first episode. I was like for every ridiculous thing that I see that, it's like, what am I watching? I was trying to focus on things I like. And there was a very early moment I loved.

And it was the introduction of the Doctor. I think it's really, it's really done because you have Rose pin down against All of a sudden a hand shows up says run and we get the Doctor and Rose running, which is basically the show. So when I saw it, I knew it's basically the show. I was like, this is genius.

This is a great introduction. And then there were other little moments like the reveal of the TARDIS, like that first introduction. It reminded me a little bit of the Falcon and Force Awakens when it just like run by it. So we got Rose running by it.

And the episode that made me be like, I love this. Like was the one with the Daleks. I love that absurd piece of thing. But it's like we reveal that Dalek one in the dark room with just a blue eye.

The minute I saw the blue light, any what it was, but like the so go, I'm the Doctor. I'm here with him. I was like, dah, dah, dah. I was like, oh.

How did Doctor change this? Right? From here to help to know I'm going to kill you. Like, yeah, the way he says Dalek, I think it's the best one ever.

Dalek. And he just hates them. Like, I don't know, like that was the episode that had me like, okay, I'm in. And I love the show.

Like that's all I can say. I love it. I'm excited to stop this podcast and continue watching. I'll say it.

I ordered comics already. I got to get into the novels. I know there's a bunch of novels. I got to get into some of those.

I love Christopher Eggleston. I love him. So I saw Kevin Scott wrote his run. So I was like, yes, immediately by.

So I want to once you get into season two, I want to say what's the same. When I got into Doctor who this was, Matt, Miss was already the Doctor. And he was probably, I don't know, one or two seasons since. I don't know.

And it was people on Facebook just fighting and arguing who was the Doctor. Was it Matt Smith or David Tennant? The 10th or the 11th? They're just arguing.

I kind of knew a little bit about the Doctor. I didn't know the whole thing. I said, you know what? I'm going to watch it.

I think it was in Amazon prime at that point. This is 2012, 2013 or something. And I started with Eggleston, obviously. And when that season ended, he regenerated to David Tennant, I was like, no, I don't want this skinny, skinny guy.

I don't want him. Eggleston's my Doctor. And he took me back to. Skinny man.

Like four episodes or more to say, okay, I'll give you a shot because I was, no, no, I love this guy. I hate that he left so early. But then it's the same thing when David Tennant goes into Matt Smith. I love Tennant, it's my favorite one and Matt Smith, Matt Smith, and I'm on my TV screen.

Three episodes in, dude, I love you, don't beat me. So it's a power to this character that's different actors can play them. And they play them differently. But you still resonate with each, every one of them.

I've been thinking a lot about all of this. Where'd it go? I think it has a lot to do with James Bond. Like, for example, I think everyone has like who they think of when you think of James Bond of James Bond and then you have your favorite, it could overlap.

Hi, Mo. For example, whenever I think of James Bond, I think of Fierce Bond. Like that's the person who will come to my mind. But my favorite James Bond is Daniel Craig because he's the best.

So I think that that also happens. And for me, like when I was first aware of Doctor Who, David Tennant was a doctor. Matt Smith was a doctor. So for me, that is who I think of when I think of Doctor Who.

Him and Peter Capaldi funny because it was like, right on one round with that regeneration was about to happen. So but since I've tried to see the show a couple of times in a couple of different spots, like I don't really have that fear of jumping to another doctor because I know what I'm going to get. Yeah, OK. But it was fun because since I hadn't seen much of Ekelson, I really appreciated it because I had no expectations for it.

And nobody really talks about him. But I saw a lot of what David Tennant does in his version. And I was like, this guy is basically the mold for the modern doctor. Oh, yeah, absolutely.

And they reference each other like the world doctor. And remember how you were when this happened. And you see some of those, you see those kind of come up once in a while. Are you going to do a lot of cool characters and this is one of the current characters.

Boruma, I just forgot his name. The other time forward. Oh, Captain Jack. Jack Harness.

I love that episode. I told you that. I don't know. I really like those episodes.

They were very creepy for kids with the gas mask. No, no, no, no. I like the empty child. I just don't like Jack.

Oh, no, I don't hate him. I just don't mean it. Jack, it's like, no, he'll show up throughout the whole season. And he's someone that's very fluid.

He will go with whoever. So that's also not amazing to everything. And it's a huge reveal, like four or five seasons into that. You'll see if you have you get it.

But I love his introduction. It's Rose is falling down. She's going to die in the middle of this attack in World War II. And then he just steps in the London Tower.

Then just in his spaceship. But what I was going to say, talking about CGI and stuff, he's like, I watched Doctor Who. One of the reasons I love it, I do it like I do Star Trek. I don't follow anyone for Doctor Who.

I don't go to YouTube to see people's reviews. I don't listen to Doctor Who. I do it for myself. I enjoy it.

I enjoy it. So whatever. So yeah, the CGI is bad. It takes like 10, 6,000 to get to a point that you say, OK, but I don't care.

It's the story I can. So they say, yeah, it's bad. But they do great creature work. Other creature designs are awesome.

And you see the last week with the meat and the other guys. And all throughout the, when you get to Nidal, even, yeah, Nidal is stupid. But it works. It works.

And there's so many more coming that you'll enjoy. I love the Slovene. Wow. Wow.

Wow. Yeah. You got three creatures farting and just putting human costume sometimes. But costume with those huge feet.

So yeah, I'm glad that you enjoy it. I can't remember why. I know there's a bunch of theories of why Echoson left. Because it was around the time it was going to do Thor without work, I think.

But I don't know if he had issues with the creative team or he just didn't want to do it anymore. But I'm a little bummed that he didn't get to play him a little bit longer. I was actually talking to this, Tony, when I started to really, really appreciate his version of the character. And I'm going to tell you what I remember him telling me.

He told me something that he had a lot of behind the scenes. The scenes issues. Apparently they didn't really trust him to carry the show. So they only gave him a one year contract.

He told me something that even David Tennant was cast either right after or before Rose aired. So apparently they didn't really feel comfortable with him as a role. So he told me he kind of distanced himself from the whole lore and everything. And that's just something I want to say.

I know I just got off the high of watching the first season. But I would love him to come back. It's the same thing with Star Wars. I love it when characters that had a bad time with not characters, actors who had a bad time with a franchise, find that piece within it.

It doesn't really have to mean I'm coming back to play the character. That's always awesome. But just understand the appreciation that the fans have for them. I think that part he gets.

Because that's not always been on his side. There's no one's been there yet. Forget about him. So that's something Tony was telling that he was a bit distant at the beginning, but is now coming around to it.

So I kind of thought of it kind of like, oh, Natalie Portman, who's been really like Star Wars, I don't know. But recently has more opens of talking about it. So we still need that celebration though. He mentioned it in Japan.

But Wolf, you like about Wolf, really? So I was glad that I knew that was something. And you spoiled it last week. And Tony spoiled it on Monday.

And it was just so convoluted. We didn't know you were going to watch it. Oh, but I didn't remember the space style when you guys thought. Oh, like this entity, there's in the target.

It goes like, what are you talking about? So it's still, but I was glad I was aware because I got all the little references. Even when they show up, like take up half your screen. And yeah, no, that pay off.

Awesome. When those doors open, she comes out and he's like, no, go. And he's like, shut up. I am the bad Wolf.

Yeah. I remember seeing that the first time. And then you'll start seeing why in Star Wars, when he hears the name Rose, why? No, no, I love her.

And I know it's going to be sad when it ends. And it's a whole thing. I'm getting emotionally ready. But I love Billy Piper as a sister.

I think that's going to be my hard time because I don't know the other. I don't really know the other companions. I just know the doctors. I think switching companions is going to be hard for me.

Yeah, we won't talk about it when you get there. But I know that they show, again, 13 years, 14 years now, there's all those things that still connect. We talk about it in Star Wars. Oh, they make it meta-reference to that.

One more separate sort of one. And sometimes, yeah, but if you leave it, watch it. It's like, the here is like, I don't know, feels different. Maybe because we don't talk about it every week.

But I know that you can catch those reference. Sometimes there's reference to a reading of Dr. Voolard. I don't know about it.

But all the people, oh, those are great. And then it explains. I don't know if this happens a lot, but something happened in this episode that reminded me a lot of something that echoes sometimes. In the first time they realized that Wolf is chasing them, he does this whole thing.

It's sort of here. It can't be a coincidence. He does this whole conspiracy theory. And suddenly goes like, never, it's probably nothing.

And he does the same thing here with, however, not what it was. But it's the same exact thing. Yeah, I think it's, when they're inside, no, because it's like, it's only thought it's right. I said this at the edge of the universe.

And there's, oh, what's the word? Superstitions and this and that. Oh, yeah, yeah. Something doesn't feel right.

Oh, no, it's gone. Yeah, that does go. It does happen through. I think every document is that's fine.

It's great. And same with bad Wolf. And most of the other doctors have that through line through the whole season. That's something because, yeah, they're contained episodes.

But there's something happening that's kind of come to a head at some point. That's something I love about the show, by the way. It's very much a monster of the week, serialized show. But different to when we see these shows in the US, I think the through line and the main story is present and moves in every single episode.

Yeah. Like in every single episode, it comes back. We touch on something and we move either the story or the character arcs a little bit more. I think this is very prevalent in one of Matt's mates season I won't go into.

But there's 10 has it, very important in the last season. And then Matt's mates has another one. And I think kind of falls in the other two. And that's why by the time we get to the 30 things, doctor, I don't think it here.

That's why because at least for me, we didn't have that through line through the seasons. Kind of just the last one. But at the beginning, it's great. One of the best things.

So can't wait. I can't wait to follow your tweets. I have to see where you are. I'm posting weird pictures.

Just pictures. I guess the episode you're on. Yeah, I was sometimes I remember something of a previous episode. And the doctor has so many fun throw away lines that mean absolutely nothing.

Even that empty child one, when the kid is cured, his reaction is pop music comes out in 20 years. You're going to love it. It's like, OK? I don't think, yeah, there was one.

I don't know if there was one. A lot of times they go to a famous person where a famous event is going to happen. They have to stay away. But of course, they need to intervene at some point.

There's similar vibes that we can't tell people everything that's happening. But I love that people just accept them. And some weird people will show that we're just going to roll with it. Quickly, I love that they go see.

I think it's Charles Dickens, the one who wrote Christmas Carol. And he tells him, you're going to be huge and whatnot. And Rose is like, should you have told him that information? He's got a 9 a couple of months.

I mean, Vincent and Joe. No, he hasn't shown. I've heard a lot of them. That's why Matt Smith.

OK. That's another hard break for a lot of people. Hard break for a good reason. And another thing I'm loving of the show, I can't believe how emotionally invested I am in it.

When we get that revealed in the Bat Wolf episode that the Daleks are all alive and they're hovering over Earth and ready to go to war, I was literally like, with my jaw on the floor, like, how could this happen? Like, what are we going to do now? And I was like, I'm freaking out over a bunch of bulky robots screaming exterminating, like, driven by weird star Z star things. Yeah.

And this is the one that, oh, you've been the most dangerous creature in the universe, beaten by stairs. My stairs. Those are little or two. So the other thing I was going to say, apart from the CGI, it's at least for myself, I don't pay attention to Canon in Doctor Who.

This is a time travel show. Tell me why me, like, Tene says at some point where? In Blink. But it's super weird because it's a time travel show.

So in that last episode, Rose goes away. Why didn't she come back, like, right when she went away? Yeah. Of course, because the episode needs to happen and things need to move along.

But it's kind of weird, like something. Yeah. I don't pay attention. How many times have I gone to the edge of the universe?

I know today. Oh, this is far. Maybe not. Oh, so this is the edge of the universe.

We've seen a star being born. OK. And this is the last day on Earth. We've seen that before.

It's always different. I don't care. I just care about the episode. That's like the first adventure.

And it's like the whole thing. So that's like, oh, no, it's 800 years later. Everything is like going on. Like, why?

Yeah. I don't care. I just don't have fun with it. I think if people get to work down those details, that's when you start complaining about it.

All right. So I'm extremely happy that you're enjoying it after it's like five tries. I'm loving those comments. That's real for you.

I bet this is what I said. That was the reason. It's not really. It's real for me.

But hey, at least I figured it out. There it is. I took me a while to get to it. And the first time I watched it, I stopped right when Peter got out of the store.

I think I watched his first episode. And I'm like, no, I'm done. I'm not going to keep doing this. But then when I did my rewatch last year, his whole season, the three series, I really enjoyed them.

But I didn't come out like, oh, yes, this is my doctor now. But now when I think about some of my favorite moments, he's a great freak. He's a great freak. He's a book actually told me like, oh, he has some of my favorite monologues.

He has some great monologues in the run. So I think everyone knows it out of the park and really excited for what's about to come. Do they each have a country? Yes.

What's the name? So Alonci. Alonci is David tenants. Alonci.

Alonci. You also use it soon. You'll see a mass mates have one. I can't believe what is.

I goes on, of course, was fantastic. So there is. He's a darling. He's just this facial expression, man.

He goes through everything just those clothes. I think he would be a great joker. Oh, right. Yeah, like a cartoni kind of joker.

All right. So we'll leave it there. I'm loving the show and I'm happy to be slowly joining the circle. All right.

So I'm talking about it. I think maybe at the same time when you finish a season or something, we'll do a quick recap. And when you started sending all those pictures, like, do I need to start another rewatch? And I'm thinking about it.
