Together, Kerri and Mark tackle some of the most common — and most talked about — myths in dermatology, from “topical steroid withdrawal” and “natural sunscreens” to “slugging,” “collagen supplements,” “beef tallow skincare,” and even “perineal tanning.”Dr. Purdy and Dr. Kirchhof separate science from social media hype, giving residents practical, evidence-based ways to address the questions they’re hearing in clinic every day. They also take a look ahead at how AI could reshape dermatology practice in the near future.Dr. Kirchhof is the Division Head of Dermatology at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital, and the current President of the Canadian Dermatology Association (CDA).
