so yeah that's how it's going but I'll read it yeah I'm not not gonna read it no of course it's another rec follow-up to out of the shadow so it's very I think that's why I'm struggling so we'll see how it goes there's some very cool reveals throughout the whole book that I kind of picked oh this is great other kind of matching this with something that happened in phase one and then the last few chapters of course it's like okay setting up everything that's coming back a lot of cool stuff in it I don't know Alan you're not selling me on this all right who said this was the chat apart from Ireland trying to get you to read it we have Dale Alan is here Alan again Robert doesn't the chat and we have read it as always who's saying Agai trailer is fantastic and we will talk well I was I don't know we never talked before I think we might do things a little bit out of order like maybe we'll start with some news then we'll do bad batch and we'll finish with the acolyte I think we'll leave that for the end I see Robay to see her last time Robay to was here he asked if I was gonna talk about Doom 2 I had it seen it at the time so maybe at the end we'll do a little tune you saw those two and haven't talked about tune tune 2 I saw it on that Sunday when it came out so on Saturday I didn't couldn't talk about it and then I haven't yet I'm trying to talk about it all these few weeks so maybe we'll do a little bit oh let's do it I saw an iMac this weekend oh whoop whoop all right so we got to give you if you guys were really unknown really the let's talk Star Wars and Star Wars news and thanks Star Wars news all right Star Wars news what do we have? not a lot just some fun stuff that drop on a cool poster so Star Wars celebration in Japan all day are you going to Japan in 2025 tickets I will absolutely not I can still have my money to do that second and the key art was revealed with you so that we is one of the most beautiful arts and Star Wars that you see and they never go in crazy is this AI because they haven't created the artist okay and I'm just going there I'm starting to go to I wanted to mention like I'm getting married in December and we're talking about potential Hanuman destinations and when we're going to do the Hanuman because we don't think we'll do it like right away um and one of the places we've thrown around is Japan which would be pretty cool but I wish that wasn't way for me like fiancee and so we're like oh we should go on an April then since we're here oops Star Wars celebration I brought shirts well tickets what do we have all these tickets already I'm the only saying everything oh I mean why am I going there but I just love that and people got extremely excited for these everyone getting extra loans and stuff just to fly over there and that cost of the tickets came out it's like 170 for the whole thing oh okay I was like I was like anything no I want a thousand percent by 170 dollars to go to Satsaw region I mean I would too next time it's on land or someday hopefully but who knew of kazawas was that but they still do celebration but no congratulations on that hopefully going and then we'll do our couch come here I'm gonna do that conversion of time I don't know what time or things to drop in so I was actually checking this morning I was at the office and I was checking my schedule of vacation and I saw April 20, 25 I was like why did I put like vacation there I was like oh sorry I was already already two years in advance you know oh man I remember the day they announced Japan I opened my work up there it was it was someday I think and like not into the thing and when like April this is I'm not gonna work I gotta find out I gotta look at the dates and also ask because April and BC on April said work but I can get one day off one or two years off I'm checking it all right the other thing that drawn out of the movie is the skywalker I just you have to fly to Japan or you gotta find like 21 hours to see that movie theater to watch all nine of the skywalker saga movies this just came out of surprise the announced at 25th anniversary of the Phantom Men I was just coming back to the theaters and then about three or four days ago they said you know what I just put the whole thing forget about giving Phantom Men a his own day made for everything's going I can't do 21 hours and I haven't heard I haven't found out do you have to buy the whole thing okay you I just want to watch three movies so do you have to buy the whole thing and sit there for you I mean like I guess it depends on the theater yeah probably I don't know I have no idea I hate these kinds of things because I can't say that I was the local movie theater they announced that they were doing it like the week before so like you can't plan ahead yeah yeah I think people I forget to forget his name but they're all like all showings they're like going like 20 times so they're going to all showings and they're like I'm glad people have big time to do this but I I wish they would just like put them all in theaters for like yeah that makes sense I was honestly thinking like which ones would I go watch I would honestly watch any of them but like and this is so weird I was like drawn to the sequels I was like I would love to watch for some weekends I would love to watch last Jedi again yeah yeah well if I would go I'll pick three one from each three of you like of course at the revenge of the state who most likely empire and then all things were sports awakens do one of which that's what I would I so a while ago they they actually never do this but they played Empire Strikes Back locally so I watched and then I watched Return of the Jedi last year so I think I would do revenge New Hope and last Jedi probably yeah nice maybe one day all right anyone out there in the chat are you doing the marathon?
are you at least going to go watch Phantom Menace go say hi to little Jugger Binks on your out there I would love to go mostly if I can find I don't want to go watch one if I can go watch one I'll figure that out but I'll do what we talk about doing I love doing I didn't love my theater experience so oh it's not waiting I'll get to that all right any other comments before we jump or so Alan has a lot of thoughts about Japan celebration so let's see let's see let's see um Alan is saying sorry I wasn't I wasn't I wasn't put it up again I'm sorry they go in much better than the D23 oh you guys they also released the D23 how would you sold out when they announced celebration in Japan I say I'm not going to celebration about the three is right over there let me see if there's tickets available I sold out like a year ahead of them already so all right okay I guess I'm going to the D23 okay uh buggin saying they should screen the 3D versions of the prequels yeah I always I'll say this I don't like 3D movies but like I remember when they get the for the Phantom Menace I thought they were going to wall 3 and I was disappointed they never did the other two so I will always remember the Phantom Menace 3D because that's the last movie that came out to the theater that was closest to my house I always went to was cheap and that was the last movie they put and then it closed like no so they had that the marquee or the Phantom Menace 3D there even though the movie every close is still there but it's also saying there isn't currently American anywhere near Seattle this is why I'm saying like I think this is going to depend on the theater because I'm pretty sure a lot of theaters are going to just like hey it's made the fourth US big theaters are doing this let's show off just really some yeah if you have it I think I'll make more money that way and buggin saying he's going to go watch Phantom Menace so I'll probably check that one they already said they were going to show here so probably all right so go watch that one all right so let's go I'm talking a little bit about Star Wars on TV little mouse droid every time I see it nice and about it all right let me get my notes in order but before we start have you and guess you've been caught up with everything just quick thoughts about the last few episodes of the Bad Batcha they still don't know that those first three that we talked about which were just out of the park for me it's just been same level so far yeah I think we already got to a point where okay I don't love these episodes as much as the others like sure I think maybe the last two or maybe this I'm blanking on what happened in between but like I think there's been two episodes including this one that I've been like okay like but other than that yeah it's been pretty great like that episode when Wolf comes back I freaking loved it and I'm very excited to see how it's all gonna wrap up because I'm very invested in it yeah last week we got those two episodes the one when Wolf comes back and it's Wolf evil it's the bad guy and then by the end you cannot let him go and has that great conversation with rats like can you see following orders there's more things happening out there this episode goes back to come for the Bad Batcha's been so far that you get those one offs you're still moving the gives us friend exchange that we knew what's coming they still have these m counts kind of hanging over there they still don't know what it is we're still asking how come clones don't know what the m count is or whatever and it pushes a little bit more where it's going next week and of course the crosshair and no mayor relationship that's just being the highlight of the whole season so Bad Territory we started back on Paboo Paboo please stay safe as soon as you can um Crosshair is still having his PTSD he's hand shaking and the kind of thing is a lot of this is mental like he needs to work through it and I love that hunters which still is kind of undeferenced about Crosshair especially last week but he cares enough to go to Omega hey maybe he'll listen to you and maybe you can get him to get some help go check out droid doctor LC to get him checked out but then he and Recker go to get some information on the same count with from fee hey I know someone that might be able to get some information on the empires being hiring bounty hunters to collect end counts or whatever but let's not first I guess let's keep with Omega and Crosshair just those scenes they're on Paboo trying to get help how you enjoying this relationship and like you said that first time Omega still during those she's grown she still has that childish or not childish but not caring for her brothers and stuff like that I think their relationship has been my favorite part of the season like seeing that grow and being so different than I thought it would have been I thought Crosshair maybe would have been more hesitant to be in the situation but he's like you know I'm here I'm gonna go with the blow like I thought that was gonna be more there is tension I thought it was gonna be more so I'm just like enjoying that you know Omega just chilling doing yoga I love a lot of the fan out there's gone this past couple of weeks of people just putting them in just chill out some scenarios and just hanging in the beach or on the grocery store just been full on the grocery store just been fun I love every kind of those comedic moments when Crosshair's sitting like who's this febber and I'm like oh she's a liberator of Asian artifacts and he just stone face she's a pirate okay she's a pirate so yeah okay we get it but I just love that love when they're meditating oh where did you learn that oh my friend Gondia and the other hookies kind of told me I said what bro then I cried I missed a lot like I was gone for a while so I missed a lot of her growing up and again like we mentioned that for his week it's this was an one of the it's PTSD hand shaking has come keeps coming up and we'll by the end of the season probably still come up but there's that whole relationship is great and then we like hunter and record turn to not give too much information that there is still hanging out with Omega where Omega is when they go meet uh Penic Chantors I love that space station reminded me of course of Star like big and where we say that from the outside inside is just on the carpet mess shit oh um and I love uh Phoenix Chant here she's such a badass just sitting there when the other aliens gonna live like no sit down I love business with them we're making a deal don't worry about those two closers I just love it so much I love them being super obviously clones same armor he didn't care it's like oh we gotta hide no and she's like no this is how you approach about the hunter like yeah yeah I was terrible at it and then they go to Mississippi Alabama or Florida whatever you want to call it they go down to the swaplands it's Florida it's like the Everglades that's the part in the middle window and I guess I know I know all that they're in the fan boats going down the the Everglades a bunch of mines on the water saying much through this in Florida I just love record punching alligators just in the middle of the ocean of the latest fighting alligators as far as our question that was what the bad batches can we get I enjoy that we still get those type of episodes I'm gonna fight our freaking praying mentees basically that's another weird creature they're fighting but yeah I guess the big thing is like she can't find someone that can give them information about the episode that's what we're gonna say about the episode no no no give me something I don't know no I really like how those stories parallel like hunter hunter a crosshair is going like deep into the swam of his mind fighting his own alligators well hunter and wrecker are fighting their own alligators and this whole thing about trust like can we trust fanic we're choosing to trust her and cross her on his side like can I trust Omega like to have that open that's to her I it's like that kind of story that seems that have nothing to do with each other but actually when you think about it I like how they were connected I watch it once like early on Wednesday I watch it once I just kept thinking about it I really like the show like this this next and there's a lot of recommendations especially also with freaking batch right batch hunter and trusser in this kind of wounded animals and how they're kind of now forming their own family and but yes it's going at the direction that we didn't expect especially with crosshair and you talk as soon as he gets back with the bad batch you'll have their confrontation with their arguments which can happen a little bit and then they'll just keep going on we just together but a little bit has been with crosshair trying to reconcile all the time that is to be away and just getting his mind right to everything that happened with the empire especially with the previous episodes when they're talking about this clone X or whatever and yeah they tried to in in get me into those those clone whatever pretty much yourself and I just didn't work we're still having to go through all that kind how are you feeling on the tech thing so last week I was gone whole I went through my whole theory the next episodes decided titles the next one is harpijer and that I think maybe that's what was driving me crazy I'm like talk about leaping yeah so and then after this episode I was like okay so I guess they're mostly talking about as such veterans and maybe she's bringing them information at the end I went a little too far I've always thought that the harpinger was gonna be a such of I don't know like seems like a harpinger seems like a such word so after this week I like okay maybe I jumped the fence a little too quick I still believe that tech is gonna come back or at least that this clone X has to be a very emotional reveal another of people are saying it has to be Cody I don't see Cody having an emotional reveal to this group also you said we haven't seen Cody since revenge of the Sith we saw no no no I saw him from season 7 in that bad batch all right but he showed up last season in bad batch he showed up that's how much I care about Cody I know I was like in the the night with the tech thing I sure the whole keeping that ghost clone alive makes me think they're hinting at it like why like we've seen several of those types of one like that one alive maybe it's nothing maybe it's maybe they're just showing us how resilient they are but I kind of like a theory that that's a clone of Cross here and that's like gonna be Cross here's final arc like defeating himself like even getting over getting over himself that was one of my best maybe it's a clone that they put Crossers blowers on there's they shown is a great shock shooter so maybe it's something there so that was kind of my second one like if I don't know this is a kid's show and I always as a kid I like that kind of reveal I always remember when in Teen Titans they showed that Slater was there was an episode they oh it's actually wrong and I'm like oh I don't know I think I'm I mean it's a kid show but they were drowning someone last week like Crossers I don't know the thing you mentioned I bet though come on like come on it's been drowned I didn't mind but the way it's like in the shows we watched this kids people die like I'm like the good guys go the bad guy that's like what happened I'm not criticizing I'm the same one oh this is a kid show but they still murder people I was gonna say what I want to say because I know people would hate it well we won't be back next week just the end of the week but everything leads to Phoenix and of hey I'm gonna go get it yeah I'll give you information when I have it so that's where you help I gotta go find someone which we she calls them we don't get to see using the hologram but basically we know it's as adventurous she might have some knowledge about income so are we seeing as such ventures next week healthy I think so yeah makes sense I don't really think that that fannet gets me trained them sorry about I don't think she's gonna be trained I'm like we also have a benefit that we know where Fennek is gonna end up of course she's like a different person right now what she'll get there um so I think she's working with a massage or something out of we'll see I don't see her be trained them it's not in her character I think so we're gonna wait I think it's more like I think it's more like she's talking to my imperial and she's playing the imperial to help them okay we'll see all right so that's it for the bad but over the halfway mark um only got six more yeah six more episodes to go so we'll see next week the harbinger was I write with my big leap of faith using the easy answer there's a such excuse me all right so let's go there now what is the reason not the reason over here that's not right but what a lot of us have been waiting for for over two years and it's the acolyte finally we got the trailer we've been waiting for it for years since the show was announced back I think 2021 or something like that 20 20 maybe even that December I think it was I think it was 2020 yeah I think and it wasn't a random Tuesday but at least they announced it they gave us the they made up a deal out of it they did make a big deal two posters and we got talking announcements when do we ever get talking about this one the three well it's like five already black series out there that's coming I've ordered all them who cares listen then we got um a new synopsis or nothing of this but a little bit um for the posters sorry spare my computer in an age of light darkness rises and of course everyone to the last july quote that's that reversal and I mean an investigation into a shocking crime spree pizza respected daylight master against identity is wired from his past as more clues emerged they traveled on a dark path where sinister forces reveal all this not what it seems so out the first general thoughts on the trailer give you mind I mean we've been waiting for this for so long we're both huge fans of the Harry Potter you have your Harry Potter shirt so this is a show we've been extremely excited for so I was sitting there potato cameras everything we've seen I watched it really first and I'm like okay this is good let me watch again this freaking awesome let me watch a third time man I can't wait for this show I know a lot of times but it not that it took the first one is just a shot let let me just get through this but the more I watch it more in best I get in all the characters one character that I love and so afraid for him already I will get to the characters later on but just an initial reaction to watching the right trailer this reminds me a lot of watching The Force Awakens first trailer just a lot of shots of things I love I have no idea how they're connected to each other this gives us a little bit more of a story through line that I think those single trailer trailer were great I just keeping everything yeah there's cool things no story this gives a little bit more of what's happening but still like that shot of the crashing Jedi star finally what's happening there um there's a lot here that I really like and I'm very excited about it like I haven't felt this confused I'm out of trailer but also open to whatever it is they're gonna do like I really trust this creator Leslie Hetland and everything she says for me is like yes you're the person to make a star wars show like perfect yeah so I like three interviews Alisa Star Wars Dotcom had one collider I think her Hollywood all her answers were great and kind of yes she really is something else and I'm crazy to see what this is because she had that quote like this is just a drop in the bucket like you have no idea what the show is yeah you think the actor is one thing is completely different uh June's fourth two episode uh release they said it's dropping at 9 p.m. eastern similar to Ahsoka which I'm very happy for I'm not the one of those I wait a three in the morning to watch this especially they drop on a Tuesday which seems kind of weird since everything has come out on a Wednesday's past couple of shows but that doesn't matter someone is killing july oh let's start so we kind of saw with yeah and the name that is like am i a joke to you I killed july for 200 years they don't know they exist yeah thank you you Yona oh my god what's right later all this red conning and why the council did freaking star wars I want I want a space to talk about the supposed red con yeah I have it down here recommend the gentleman I don't get to that but master soul legion j playing master soul a very similar scene we've seen before with the with the young liens close your eyes don't throw your eyes they might deceive you but all we once said to look similar and then I see fires come on little girl we're trying to be happy here we try to meditate I love all the jokes with the alien that can't close his eyes he doesn't have any leads but then he goes and we got the great fight scene between karian moths and amanda stanberg's character we'll go through in a little bit I love it I know I think that let's say Helen said was at this point that july basically don't have any enemies like there's no joys to fires there's no clone armist there's no say they really don't need to take out the lightsaber so that's something bad is happening so I love all that hand-to-hand fighting that we saw that time back to the high republic books then I remember when we talked about this like we went out of five we don't really use it like yeah so I love that everything we saw except for the ending of course we have all the like savers it's just his hand to hand let's use the force let's fight with the force we don't know who's our voice user on the other side so I really enjoy that like you mentioned that star fighter going to this mountain snowy region crashes there we have this july master using the the mind trick on this whatever person to get some information about what's going on and then yeah someone's out there killing july that's never good so poor july I would think to be a july and freaking pat on the open hand keeps coming up at least something similar when we get these weeks oh she looks just like the mother just like him mother and she said it's not about power but who gets to wield it that's that's straight from the more than the pat on the open hand again because came on this came on skald right that he's he's helping for his part of the game I know he's at least I wanted to hear something about it recently so I just love that the visuals look great um yeah what else what else about the trailer for we didn't tell you a little bit more about the characters on something that we might expect to have it I think I might be jumping the gun on your on your notes but I'll say like I love I love just like the mystery of it like yeah what's happening who's killing it because I think everything in the trailer is framing a mandala this character as the villain or the killer but I think that's just like a trailer thing to put us in the mindset I don't think that's actually what's happening and I think about that um original show summary that we got in the description saying that based it was basically like uh soul's character was gonna have to team up with uh may former pat on to solve these mysteries so I'm kind of thinking she's not the the killer um but we'll see maybe maybe she was his pat on who everyone thought everyone thought was dead and suddenly she reappears and they're like why is this I don't know I have no idea but I'm interested in the mystery of it all and that's that shot of her like in the beach seeing someone who was active you don't say that's active like we're going back it's active or like the beach of the beach planet we just saw the trailer so that's too easy uh yeah because this show was sold as a mystery thriller um it was this massive having to read in with the former pat on then here we this show scene office can says um uh pits I respected jai masa I guess I think just one of his past so seems to be a little different and even Leslie Helens says this kind of similar to russia mama so I haven't seen about this movie that you see things from different point of view so the same stories which you might get that they like point of view and then another character is point of view may point of view how everything happened really interested in that I think I don't know why people still think that trailer is going sequence and everything that they show you make sense of having you been watching trailer for 20 years nothing at least it's to get us to think about this but it doesn't make sense that's why the safe thing at the end just lets me know that people are still thinking about this so yeah I don't the way that trailer is it looks like korean masa is the one almost leading this investigation instead of souls and this is a point I think it's a flashback of souls that different heroes that you don't know what's going on I think korean masa is gonna bite it I think you're right I love her I love everything so about her and then the other guy again when we talk about the cast jordi Charlie Barnett I love this character remember me on seat really I know he's gonna die I think he's the one that's safe but what else I think I'm sorry that's what else is that let's go to the chat because I'm gonna start over here so I love this coming by Ellen every national still about right we're better crashing yes that's how he crashing the ship bug is saying that Russian dog by Leslie was was a good sure I have not watched it my dad was really like it uh let's see and saying that Charles is the consultant oh explain this to me throw it to the saying not loving the runtime for the ally but you trust Leslie more than for loni and farro to make to make the time work okay so do we have the runtimes so in one of those interviews she said that each episode is between 30 and 40 minutes long with the finale being the longest at 40 minutes and everything between the 30 and 35 million range so some people go like whoa that's four hours basically okay um but she I mean she kind of confirmed season two yes so she didn't confirm anything of course she wants to make a season two but like she was like no I'm saying something for season two yeah because she got asked if a boyfriend Esther arrived there's only character from the Harry Polichow and she said no I just wanted to leave her just one character just went to the sub-action new characters because we have a lot of new other things for season two which they're kind of getting the writers room ready and she also said that she pitched the show to Katyn Kennedy as a multi-season show so I do think we're gonna at least at season two because I think season two is coming regardless she says she doesn't allow cliffhangers so at least one and season one will have a beginning and end and then season two will start so I understand Roberta's kind of hesitation or 30 minutes I know Shannes very short I'm guessing that these 30 minutes away she talked about it doesn't include the intro and the credits so I think it would be very similar to all the other live-action stars except for Pandora they're between the 35 to 40 minute range I think it could be very similar so in that sense I'd have too much of our complaint and I think as we see an animation is different but that's just 20 to 20 minutes and they're able to tell a very comprehensive story in those 27 minutes so I think if we get something like that I'm okay with it I'm more concerned about the eight episodes season give me 10 and then I wouldn't complain about 30 minutes we'll see we'll see how it goes yeah I don't know like if they planned it like this like sure yeah sure that's the story you want to tell like why won't you use my timer okay I mean we can complain here what we want I've been watching what was I'm Shogun on Hulu every episode is about how much and it's great Star Wars wants to do short episode it's what they've been doing since they started so I know that I can complain about it let's just let's just let's just let's be super honest like Star Wars storytelling is pretty simple like everything is very tip of the iceberg story like it again apart from maybe Andor and last Jedi goes very deep into some heavy things but other than that everything's like very like yes this is it and then we as fans explode it which is I'm fine with it like perfectly fine um but I don't know like Star Wars usually doesn't have the complexity and um shades of gray that I'll give it their own size for example yeah oh my god that's so good but yeah it's I once we saw it after two or three episodes then I'll be able to say yeah my 30 minutes is not working give me more maybe it's the right amount I'm pretty sure I'm gonna feel like if only we had a little bit more oh well we'll see and compare it to Farron Philone like Farron the template of interviews now they showed a lot but they the way they edited they want to get that story moving it's not let's take this for 60 minutes they just want to keep moving going and again I'm gonna mention this and you're gonna be like oh no Star Wars is for kids and yes this show looks a little bit more mature there's Blood on the trailer it's TV 40 year old 40 year old man like for me 14 year olds are kids I don't know about you um oh teenagers oh yes go so like yes you're not gonna show this to your five-year-old but it's again 14 year olds still don't have the biggest attention span maybe they won't sit through a game with them feel me like yeah even now it's even adults we watch TV with our phone your hands checking stuff as stuff is happening but a real quick book talking about these 30 minutes and stuff and Russian dolls is only a complete story season two builds up on it also a complete story and then those episodes were 25 to 30 and I jump back so that's true yeah and then and I say maybe it's related to not using the volume as much I don't mind the volume I know I get what you're going in hell and now they've got your moment because it's like I say like don't get me wrong I love how different and or look because they shot on location and everything but at the same thing like I keep hearing this oh Obi-Wan got done 30 because if it wasn't for everyone complaining about it I probably want to have noticed I was so focused on what actually matters what's actually happening in the show already but the characters are going through what those conversation means not that one pixel you saw at one time yeah so you squint your eyes you can see a line at the end um so you know what I would love talking about how this is gonna attack to the high republic you really don't need to know a lot about it or anything I would love this show story with kind of a rinse of power and a lot of the rings that I joined the war from 100 years ago and give me jedi versus the now with the follow story like just two minutes in trying to what happened before dude I would die like a lateral like yeah for lorna d was not the young of the night which is coming back with a great audio book oh yes i would not be pretty cool and as hyperbolic fans i think we'll be nerding out like yeah i don't need every a little job oh you remember master kritan son give me something else at the beginning if at any point in this season at least so i've seen a lot of the same comments we're talking about people oh if you want to if you're excited for the apple like this or the book you should read let's not read you should not read i mean you should because they're great but you don't have to read anything to get into this yeah so say yes don't expect even the other i know there's no there's no show now maybe like yes i think he's been on the cancel got retired for a while came back but this time she's wasting her at this point so like he's literally still the only thing that's with uh who has ascended the rent of the jedi from a teenage prodigy to a leader in the order bring the year after the fall of star like bikon while mourning the loss in that destruction include her own palawan brenessa pulled back from the order and she cut her focus to heal herself and i'll say that's right where before the storm starts that's not the master thing but that last sentence where she's at when before the storm start maybe not where she finishes but from all these character descriptions that we got out of any jump up to you or from watching the trailer character that you're kind of interested in something else it's not Star Wars in a well between fandom all right all right all the well between fandom let's start right there with dune two and with spin about oh my goodness i'm gonna start because i said i love them oh i didn't love my other experience so i went to the showing that i got was at 1 p.m in the afternoon i didn't get to go to the big rph screen because the show is in the line of what i could do that day to 1 p.m so i left my house around 12 it's like a 35 40-minute drive 35 that's so left out then i mean 12 to 15 got there a little bit early on my tickets of course ahead of time so i went to a store then came back bought my popcorn my solar but the time i sat down it was like 105 so i'm like okay commercials are going out the trailer should start soon let's say maybe 115 120 the movie starts commercials didn't end till 122 and then the trailer starts and they keep going and i love trailers but right now you can see them all on youtube before they release on the screen it was 140 by the time that movie started and it's almost a three hour movie like i didn't make it back to my home till five in the afternoon it's five hours to go watch one movie plus all the expenses of the tickets and the concessions i don't know it's like i can't keep doing this it's like i'll and the guys in next to me like two chairs down three people all in sandals toes sticking out like i don't need to stick that i hate sandals um so all there's like how much of trailer is 40 minutes so it was 20 minutes of commercial and then 20 minutes of trailer so 40 minutes from when it's supposed to start it's supposed separately so they used to do the commercials like 20 minutes before the show time so by the time was one then that's why the trailer started you got 15 minutes of trailer okay that's fine when others had the commercial at the show time so at one they started the commercials like let's go this is almost a three hour movie i didn't make that it's always been like 25 minutes but it's both uh yeah that's 40 minutes it's too much i already have a time perfectly so i arrived like at the last commercial so i also i watched it i liked the first one i watched it at home one of the reasons i got HBO Max was to watch do it on the Wonder Woman 2 because it's always part of the package i really enjoyed it i didn't come out of it this is the greatest type of thing ever but the way that movie and it's like okay here we go so when i went to part two it's like it's story right as i wanted to go to part one and it's going to go with the story oh excuse me first 10 minutes of that movie or 15 and the eyes wide open and mouth with the with the santaran something yeah something so simple of then just kind of floating up the mountain to me just look visually incredible this is the way it was shot and like what am i watching like this is the on parrot and then the whole movie was like that visually you can say nothing bad about this movie the music was great supporting the middle maybe let's say real a little bit but then the last like 45 minutes again is like this is perfect so i really love it almost everything that i saw that the first time i watched it i liked it a lot i i was like no i like the first one a lot more i thought this one was narratively lacking a little bit it really felt like half a movie it is like both movies are the whole story but one felt like more concise um and i agree like that middle part i was i was what that third act started right when it needed to start because i was about to fall i was like i had a long days i was very sure it's not that was for it but watching it again i think i like it more than that yeah my main issue with it the first time i felt like Paul's term was so abrupt i thought it happened just because it needed to happen like one second he's crying because he doesn't want to go south and the next he's like giving like i have to say if you're i will be there like so um but watching it the second time it all made a lot more sense to me so i i really like this movie i think it's on the level of the rings honestly oh wow i got to watch it i want to watch the first one because i haven't watched it in the years i was only watched twice i want to watch it again to now okay so this is why everything happens in the second one i love all the different not themes obviously but the genre is movies it's a sci-fi movie where it's like a religious epic at some point with all the listen all the people and we gotta go south and everyone's and then it turns to this action sci-fi at the end so how they balance everything you gotta turn about down a little bit too begin the right the voice doing a lot of it's a lot of movie a lot of story uh but it just moves like and it's very action-packed also that that also helps it's it's a very it's again there's a few couple scenes that maybe drag a little bit sure but like the movie is not boring it's very very entertaining so and again it's it's a spectacle um i might too mention something i can't remember my favorite thing is seeing a lot of people who love to say media literacy is dead yeah completely missed the point of this movie being like i don't like it because it's a white savory movie and so i think the movie has something to say about that you're just not freaking paying attention yeah from the whole point they hold us by the the framing i hate that whole story is presented as a victory is it really like yeah the channy going on crying at the end knowing what's happening isn't the point that he knows he's gonna kill a billion people 61 billion people sorry and him being like now but i want revenge so i don't care i'm gonna go ahead with it like yeah you're missing that point you they tell you your father wouldn't want veg so your father is not about revenge i'm not my father i'm gonna and look at those nook codes just happen ready for we're not to show i saw someone being like being from Puerto Rico i hate to see how like they're celebrating a what a charismatic leader that's promising something that's where his only dinner is like the movie is saying this like it's very clearly presenting that he's using the firm and just to feed his letters money can't you i can't understand a little bit if people are still seeing him as the hero and i haven't read any of the dumb books and but just following people's social media is that yeah dude just the next one is called messiah for a reason like it's not a good guy and all the anarchy in kind of comparisons it's not a good guy here it's not the hero of this story so there's always been this joke in doing that uh heard wrote wrote the book and then had to write messiah because he knew people missed the point and now it's like it's happening again like then even though it's gonna happen messiah just like no genocide is bad no you'll see that people can see you have to go back and correct himself because he knew he was wrong uh we're sorry i think that what we did a great job like showing like why this is not a win like why this is the wrong thing yeah just because he killed the obvious doesn't mean he's a good guy like almost everyone that movies are real but the main proponent of Paul being the messiah is his mom who is showing me that shit crazy she's the mother from the back of the open hand she's drinking warm piss and talking to a fetus that's so weird yeah i'm talking to my own bone child which then we see a flash forward with her side okay hopefully you're alive at some point with let me just there for 10 minutes i'm just dominating just with her face this always see it from Florence view and i love every second she was sweet but i really really liked it yeah it's great i really want them to make the third one yeah don't messiah is not a good book i think that's what i think that he can bring it home all right so let's finish up real quick it was a week for trailers got a cool bunch of trailers out there let's just talk real quick about the house of dragon we got two trailers the green trailer and the black trailer we just talked about it with the iqbal like two sides of the story right and i love it's talking about marketing and knowing how to market it's perfection what they did they got me they got me um yeah i love that the green trailer is like 10 seconds longer like no why because they're the king they're the rulers now we got 10 seconds so they are um i like a lot of this trailer and i love i think the the way they're promoting it with the black versus the green i love the dual narration selling the same but different story um i'm very excited man like i want to see the doctor fight little shit and yeah look at that no heroes or no good guys like no one here is good we don't care we just like one actually family over the other i love right here i'm at wait till you all see what she's got everything all the trailer is great i love like you said the doctor just like ben deni or we will burn your house now as he's on top of his dragon like there's no option here and then you got like you said that shit got in on the other side like yeah i give him i want that challenge i want to fight because i'm not i got one eye i don't care i got one i bet you're prettier than him they're crazy fights it's just a man it's something i love that show so much was someone else um i thought that said by the end we're gonna be fighting so long that we don't even know why these started it's like they all know they're on the wrong side but vengeance so i want to see what changes they make on the book um and how that story is gonna shift um but i'm very excited i can't wait yeah and i love that we're gonna have like one year house of the dragon one year last of us and one year last of us again the last of us again yeah so we're so proud at some point i haven't gotten anything but hopefully oh yeah but that's not HBO so no HBO it's fine we got it once we're in support power is supposedly coming out it wasn't really this year but i haven't seen anything no cataposers no interviews i mean if they're at least like in september probably someone would be when they start ramping it up but yeah it's really not heard anything i'm i think that show people have kind of forgotten about it a little bit i really liked it i think i watched it like three times already like from start to finish i watched it like three times so it's one of it's my favorite from 2022 not everything about it oh my god that was a great year for two each other 24 i mean
