No, I haven't had the time man, I barely you were a bit busy, I'm guessing, yeah I was getting married, no but it was like a whole thing because both our families were here in Puerto Rico, like their families from Puerto Rico but they all live in the state so we had like something every single day and now I'm back to work and it started off like a thousand miles per hour so yeah I don't have time to shave, that's where I'm at right now I caught my hair on like every single year, no I'm like uh, did I took a three-week vacation from work and I started back on Monday, I still don't know what I'm doing, it's like I forgot everything so I was out for three weeks and it's always, what I do is like the week before I turn on my work phone so that way like I get the emails and it's not like a surprise when I come back yeah I still got, but I'm glad you're here, thanks for joining me again, congratulations, my wedding, hopefully it was as perfect as everyone, hope people, it was pretty cool, it was pretty pretty cool, yeah Tony, maybe I'll show you the videos later but Tony and I and our band, we played that was pretty awesome, so yeah yeah Tony sent me a picture of him, I'm like okay you're not a No I sent you a picture of Tony, that was fun, all right so that's, apart from what we're talking about oh hey there's Star Wars news that you believe in, let's talk about it, so if you guys are ready, I'm not ready let's talk Star Wars and Star Wars news, right so that first news I will touch on it, cannot start it as I rule more, I'm still gonna say that I rule more, but it's not confirmed by Lukasun, so we'll keep it as not official, but it seems to be confirmed by a few places out there, so we're not really reported by Jeff Snyder now confirmed by the Hollywood Reporter, Rory McCann, best known as The Hound, for again after all, will replace the late Ray Stevenson in season 2 of a Soul Car playing Balen's Call, this came out of nowhere, at least for myself in terms of fan casting, Balen's Call, again a character that came out in a Soul Car, a brand new character and quickly became a fan favorite for everyone, and when of course the tragedy of Ray Stevenson happened, after you kind of deal with the real life of what that means, it goes to what they recast, are they just gonna forget about the character, what's gonna happen, and then this news dropped yesterday, I believe for the day before, I'm on board, we'll see Balen and what Ray Stevenson did was very special, the way he would trade that character, so it's a big choose to feel, but I think Rory McCann can do it, at least recently, he's imposing it off. Yeah, no, no, basically, definitely, this is the kind of thing I had completely forgotten about that we need to recast Ray Stevenson unfortunately, so when I saw it, I also bumped out at the same time because I love that character, and I definitely want more to a story, and I would have loved Ray Stevenson to continue, but hey, life sucks, I'll say this, I love him as an actor, he's one of those actors, I want him in Star Wars in some capacity, I think he can do it, but it's kind of skeptical.
Yeah, I don't know, I trust the casting director, Star Wars TV at least, casting Roy has been pretty on point so far, and I think they probably have been working on this casting, so they're just working around, I think that they probably have been working on it for a while, so if they decided on Rory, it's because they see something in him, so I want to trust that, but yeah, it for me is mostly the hound, it's very different to what Bayland's called it, so try to separate those right now, it's a little bit difficult. I mean, but not that you think of it, is it? At least the way he talks with a younger girl, and he's training her, he's not great to her. We'll see, we'll see, he can also be Joel from that stuff.
I will say something where I forgot, we'll see, we'll see. I mean, something I'm grateful that we know that even if it's not him, that's just a well room or someone else is that they're moving forward with recasting, because this is an important character in this story that returns from, at least grateful that we're going to continue that. I mean, the ending of Ahsoka was like, oh no, he's super important, I guess. I think if they were going to cut him out, they would have had it re-edited that.
He added just the new special edition film. Um, not what I was going to mention was that this is the same casting people that recasted all of Rebel characters, and it super worked, so. Look at Ezra, we all like, who's gonna be Ezra? Does he work, and this perfect?
Maybe that was what? Even Sabine, everyone's like, he has a car that super do it, and she got recasted, you know, in Natalia, I forgot her last time she was. Excellent. Yeah, she was excellent.
That was Sabine. Alright, so great news inside some bad news, I guess. Great news out there. Alright, following this up, and this is not a room, because this came from, as I say, from the Holy Smiles, it's from Dona De Jedi.
So during an interview with Movie Web promoting his new movie, A Comprion, director and writer, James Mangold, talk about his upcoming show, was movie currently Dona De Jedi. There are a few things to say related to why he took on the project and not been handcuffed by the lore of Star Wars, I'm just gonna read a few of the things I will discuss. So for it to say, to me, the really important aspects are the freedom to make something new, Bo and I, in relation to Star Wars, have been working on a script, and we'll see what happens, do we find a way on the page to say something original? So of course, everything you're going to Star Wars, you want to tell your story, we gotta kind of keep it with everything that's happened, but this is not a De Jedi, this is thanks to Tails as I see of years, so they can be a Remo with it.
So this is a good start, I guess, and plus there's still working on the script, which is always good to hear. By the way, I just want to quickly point something out that De la is saying, he's saying that if Jeff Snyder says it's pretty much confirmed, which is how Hollywood reporter printed it, he's someone that everyone likes to dunk on, I don't really like him, I don't like to listen to him, that's what I'll say. But yeah, he, I'll never forget he was the person that the night before celebration, he said it's gonna be three Star Wars, when we say it was like, come on, they can't even get one done, like 12 hours later, three new Star Wars, when we go. Yeah, I really appreciate what he's saying, he's not gonna, maybe one in the future.
Crazy, but yeah, no, I just wanted to mention that. Dan's mangled, I love that he's like, I want to make a Star Wars movie that doesn't tie into any Star Wars. Which is basically also scared on crew if you think about it a little bit. Oh, well, we'll get to that.
I have thoughts. Yeah, I don't know, like, cool, I'm still super excited for it, like, and I think I'm a little bit of Indiana Jones, he kind of did the same thing, he's like, no, I want to tell my Indiana Jones story, I'm not bothered by what came before and he wrote his own rules, much to the anger of many, I really love his, that movie so. Yeah, I got to watch it, I've only watched it once and I enjoyed it, I had some issues with it, I want to go again kind of everything behind me, I just re-watch it to see how it feels now. Yeah, but yeah, no, I'm super excited for this movie and hopefully we got a new one, what's going on.
Yeah, I mean, celebrations are on the corner, we'll find out. It's literally on the corner. Yeah, so he went on to say, and this is not interesting, but what I really love, it's the Star Wars movie will be taking, this is him talking, the Star Wars movie will take, will be taking place 25,000 years before any known Star Wars movie takes place. It's an Ariana playground that I've always wanted to explore and that I was inspired by as a teenager.
And not that interested in being handcuffed by so much lower at this one, that it's almost immovable and you can't please anybody, which if you've been online long enough or part of the Star Wars fandom, you can't please anyone if you're doing anything that ties to something else, which also takes this as anything that you think about the Ariana public, forget about it, all that, let it stuff, that's not coming, this is brand new, so I love that, plus we got this 25,000 years, we didn't worry about how far back it was going to go. Maybe, again, maybe we don't get all of it, I'm sure we'll get some of it, like, you know, he's like, David Gilroy, like, I don't care about Laura, like, yeah, I'm sure like the production design people are going to put a lot of things there. But, but yeah, no, I want to see what his vision of the old republic is. And also, I'm begging him, like, after watching Dune Prophecy, I really like that show, but like, every single episode, I'm like, this is show really need to be 10,000 years before quality.
Like, come on, can I just be like 500 years, so like, I hope that the 25,000 years mean. Yeah, I really enjoyed Dune Prophecy, but really, I traded this and whatever the other guys are, the hard ones, the hard ones. 10,000 years. That's beef, that's having beef with someone.
Like, I'll invite you to do something. Check Google or Wikipedia, 8,000 BC, which would be like 10,000 years before now, and you'll be like shocked at the planet, well, that's the way. Maybe next week we'll talk about that. I'm going to interrupt with the whole.
Tony and I did it, like, while we were discussing the show, we're like, I think the wheel hadn't been invented. That's something like that. Take them with clubs, so the first time is yes, we got weapons. But very important also, it's when you talk about Star Wars, you think about the action and all the adventure and all the Jedi Star, what he says that, to say is never guaranteed, but the reality is that the way to get most people to agree is to move them, to somehow find that humanity in a situation where there's a major franchise or a smaller dramatic movie, whatever they are, usually the movies you remember are the ones that move you, which seems that he's really going to be diving that script to touch into the humanity of those characters and make us really connected and have those feelings, which it's something we get in Star Wars using in the books.
Movies are more action-based and adventure style, so it's very interesting to see how that plays, but also that he's kind of looking at it that way and not trying to make a big spectacle, which I'm sure is going to be, but we need to connect with the story and the characters who we presented so. Everything, I love everything that he said so far in that interview, so I'm really excited for this movie, more than I was before. All right, we'll finish with another room more than, kind of goes hand in hand, but at the same time it's, I prefer the movie, it's that another republic TV show. A room where does this come from?
So stay with the old republic time period, inside another one, Daniel Richmond, which is the old one, apart from Jeff's neither, every time there's something breaking or a scoop, it's from Daniel Richmond, which I really don't know, I say his name a bunch of times, I don't know who he is, he says that Star Wars is developing a show in the Knights of the Old Republic era, which is something we've been hearing for years and years, but it kind of came up again, so I just want to throw that out, I'll take it, I'll take a show in developing, you know how that goes. You've probably been developing an old republic show since they bought it. I just want to throw it out there. Yeah, no, I have nothing to say, that'd be cool.
Again, celebration is already corner, that's what we'll be able to talk a lot about a bunch of stuff that will be revealed there. I'm still wondering that we're probably going to get announcements and with no follow-up to the previous announcements, but you know what, it wouldn't make sense, like what TV shows are we going to do, like after we... Ah, Soka, there's nothing. And the Rsoca, that's it.
Visions, but... No, but I need my action. I need my action. Right, it's celebration is going to be very important.
It's still a no echo, like guys. I'm going to take, I'm going to take two weeks, after next week finale, I'm taking two weeks off, so I didn't take a break during Christmas, and then we'll come back at least, I think that first February, that first Friday, because I've still been doing shows on Friday for a little bit, in February, it's going to start with spot yesterday, we'll do an episode, look back at 2024 and look forward to 2025, and we'll discuss all this stuff and what we think might be announced at celebration. What we hope, yes and else. Alright, so we thought that out of the way, let's go do a skeleton crew, stop it all, finally, you're here to talk about it, so Star Wars on TV.
I'm not your failure, Obi-Wan. Star Wars on TV. Ah, did I cut it? Yeah, I'm sorry.
There we go, I don't know what happened, I don't know why I cut it off, I just clicked it once, I got my fat fingers. Anyway, on the episode 7, we're going to be in so much trouble, but before we jump into it, because we haven't seen you in about three weeks, we got over a thousand last three weeks. I love the show, I love it completely, a thousand percent, I love the kids, I love John, I love us, me or 33, I love the show, those are my thoughts. Alright, so let's go, let's go, let's go with the parents first, as always we'll subdivide, I love this intro, I love that every time we get in the parent, it's usually at the beginning and they're planning some time.
It's every other episode, yeah, and this week it didn't disappoint, two weeks ago it was, they're trying to get information from the computer, which didn't work, they don't know what the hell they're doing. And then this was trying to send that communication device, a communication buoy, and then they're like playing capture the flag or help potato, whatever you want to call it. What I love when Niels Mom gets shot down, I'm like, oh, she'll be fine, I'm just freaking liver. Yeah, they're just stunning though, let's go.
Oh, that was a great little intro, they're still working together, they still want to get their kids back. But I love that little thing, all these droids don't care, like you are breaking the rolls, we're gonna put that down, we're gonna shoot you. They're like even more less threatening battle droids. Yeah, it's so weird.
I love that little chasing. And even the design of that combo, I thought it was something just gonna sit on the ground, I would say, no, I know it just goes right out to the atmosphere. Yeah. All right, we'll talk a little bit later more about the message they sent, but I said this last week, I think it was last week or the week before, for me, they showed thrice with all the pirate things.
Every time it goes back to that pirate vibe, it's when it really clicks, and I love everything with the pirates again, this episode from the ship coming out of Hyper's very fine in front of acting and the design of that ship is incredible with the music in it, I know you love. So I didn't. Like, you know my friends, maybe. Yeah, like, you know, he killed it.
So just that intro, I went to the ship arriving at acting and freaking Brutus is one of my favorite characters, all that alien designs in there, all the pirates, it's just a great way to, yeah, you're still with us, but we still have in handcuffs, I'm still gonna throw you out of here, like, this doesn't find out, look at that freaking planet, it's not there, what do you brought us? So just that, that's like, I love this, I love this so much. My favorite thing about Brutus is like watching the show and watching, uh, Drew Lock kill his delivery and his lines, and have this realization that he's talking to a world. He got shot, Tony, he texted me.
Oh, he shot lastly. Dude, I was so sad. I love Brutus. I think I told you, or maybe when we learned that the name of that wolf man was Brutus, we call our dog, Brutus, because he's a big dog.
So every time we see Brutus, oh, that's our dog right there. It's like all the lab. I mean, I got every I was telling Tony that like, again, go back to the previous episode that same one, John does this epic speed. Like he's sucking two muppets.
Like they are all like puppets or big weird outfits. It's crazy. I love it, by the way. Oh, of course.
I mean, how many episodes we've done about stupid, not the stupid that we are in the store was how dumb it is sometimes. And I mean, go back to all the interviews that you loaded before the show came out. Oh, he did was talking about the great puppets and animatronics. He had to work with them.
I was seeing John was a mostly scene. We're talking to three different people controlling the faces. You can't love it. And then you see it.
I mean, he's not gonna die. He's gonna keep coming back. You can't kill this guy. This character.
We need you to learn Star Wars. And don't say it. Probably that next week. Oh, but I love this character.
Again, all good as to do the locales is loving this. He was born to be in Star Wars. He's eating every line and playing this character because he can say, oh, maybe they play another character or something. But I love that every chance he gets, he's just firing excuses left and right, just to make sure he doesn't get killed or thrown out the air.
Oh, it's, it's a trick. The planet is coming flash. Oh, it's behind, sitting inside the store. It's a defensive grid.
It's the ship. Like everything. No, I have something to come back at. He's Jack Sparrow.
He's just bullshitting his way to the next situation. There's a moment that it killed me when they send the Quarren and the Quarren. Gloribund. Gloribund.
Gloribund. Gloribund. Gloribund. Right.
Gloribund. Gloribund. Gloribund. Gloribund.
Gloribund. Right. I didn't cry. I didn't cry.
Oh, whatever. Glorund. I said Quarren is my favorite. Quarren is my favorite alien design.
Really? I said it last week. I love Quarren. I mean, giving the worst name because Gloribund.
Come on. You were going to die with that name. I mean, I'm like, really? My favorite aliens are toilet, toilet.
So they're like the most basic alien. Just like humans would. Yeah. What was I saying?
Oh, there's a moment I love. I'm just know where you're going, but when the Quarren exploded and Buddha is like about to kill John and John, it's like, we should probably send another shot. Yeah, I have it. Gloribund.
Maybe we should send another one. Perfect. Again, just that's I was talking to my cousin and he was saying like, no, he's just he's an expert force wielder and he's just fighting his time and he knows exactly what he's going to do. And like, I think it's the exact opposite.
I think he has no idea what he's doing. He can only use the force for party tricks. And like, yeah, he's just stumbling from here to there. Like, sorry, I'll let you talk about it.
We haven't talked about the show. There's a moment I loved in the previous episode, very similar to this, when Erkel finds him. They're like, John, we're going to arrest you. He's like, thank God I find you.
I've been looking for you guys. It's like he's a Jack Sparrow, but without the drunkenness. Yeah, he's so very Jack Sparrow. You know what?
Because I thought about this yesterday or after watching the first time I was on board before I might be a little bit silly. He used to be a Jedi or he trained in the Jedi or he knows a little bit of what he's doing. And I don't know if it's the way he's doing it or just my interpretation. The way he holds the lightsaber and moves it around doesn't seem like he knows how to wield it.
It's usually like, Oh, look, like I would if I got a lightsaber just doing this. And so I think it's what you're saying that he really doesn't know how to use the focus to turn into reality. Like he attended a seminar. I kind of want him to be just a pirate that is first happens to be for sensitive and no one ever found him and he lives his life.
I mean, like, no, I can move things from here to there. I think they'll probably tie back to the Jedi in some way. And I think I'll be fine with it if it works for the story. But I do want to, if I had my wish, it would be that that it's just a guy.
We'll talk a little bit more about that the end with we'll see if there's any redemption for him or even if he needs one. But we'll talk about a little bit later. Definitely needs one, man. Sorry.
Well, what? So just finishing up with the pyrocess. We break it down. I love the look of the show is amazing.
And seeing the barrier not just from the outside, but when they went inside the barrier and that chasing, come on, that's great to watch. Of course, if you read the marketing role comic book, when they went to an aimless planet, I had that visual, but seeing that in live action, the way that buis work or the barrier because we haven't really seen it. It works great. And then we could see it's a reason no one visits.
It's a great design. Tonya, I have this joke in Star Wars where we're tired of nebulas or because we've gotten so many. We've got X-Sego, we have Planet X, we have in Jedi survivor Talonora has a honeycomb castle. And now this one.
So that's like our inside joke. But they're cool. So that's why they keep on doing them. And what's great is that all they work a little bit different.
Look a little bit different. So let's talk about the kids and then bring in Jod and his betrayal, which happened of course earlier with last week's episode. But I love that finally everyone's happy. KB had the coordinates in her memory bank so they were able to get back over there.
So everyone's happy. Hey, finally we're going to get back home. Maybe the lead-offs keep the ship and all this stuff. But women kind of, here we go.
I don't want to go back. We'll go back to the same way as before. I still got to take my test. It's been gone for two weeks and still think about school.
So the only thing I didn't like, but I feel that sometimes the way that kids act on one episode kind of forget what happened going to the next episode. Like we a couple of weeks ago, he was, he didn't want to go back. I think I was talking to Neil like, oh, the adventure is finally getting started or things like when they get to act right. And he's like, oh, why are we home?
I want to keep going to adventures. Then last week he was kind of down when talking to Jod, like, oh, I miss my parents. I just want to see them. I'm almost died.
This isn't what I thought of adventures going to be. And then this week he's like, oh crap, I don't want to go back because it's going to be the same thing as before. So kind of felt a little weird. I still had that mentality.
But anyway, it worked. I'm glad it was firm that kind of consulting a little bit because a few weeks before he had been winged consulting firm, which he was down in at Akron. So I liked that interaction. Am I crazy?
No, I really didn't think about that. I don't really care. I do like that moment. Like everyone being like so happy, like finally be home, but women's like, man, like everything we went through and I'm sorry I started this after being the one like who started it and was excited about it.
I really like that. And it gets me like, no, we have a lot of fun. Like it's cool. Nios, we almost died.
But it was fun. That's what our adventure is like. Yeah, that's nice. They get kind of distracted being, which I guess happens in all those planets.
But I know, sorry, I'm joking. I'm not putting the tractor beam by the pirates and they pulled into the ship and this is where. That's when they trap Brutus. Brutus with that claw.
And again, all these people know what they're doing. They showed us that claw four weeks ago. And now here, this is why they're so trapped Brutus and unfortunately shot him. Any part of you think Jod wasn't going to shoot him as soon as he grabbed that.
No, absolutely not. Like of course he was going to shoot him. He was just waiting for his chance. I'm sad that Brutus dies, but in that matter, I knew it was going to happen some finally second flotation between the two of them.
I'm sad it happened. But I love it. But I love it. The last episode, he's like, I think we're going to all agree.
Brutus is a great second mate. He's a really second command. And then when he killed him, Brutus was something sticky butenier. He was just unleashed from that point on.
Oh, yeah. I mean, he told them, he's like, you can't kill me. That crew loves me. So no matter what plunder, no, they love me.
They hate you. They like me. Hey, Jod takes the ship, takes the kids hostage. They got to figure what to do.
Yeah, come up with a plan. Get a lot of wind, right? Okay, we're not going to plan. Friends like no, we can attack him through his create attack.
I thought about playing through pirates and then I know your god. But it was all about. Yeah, cause he's. So let's go.
So before we get to claims, claims, claims, claims, claims. So the worst possible time for the parents message to show up. The Amblin moment. Yeah, which happens if you were being a kid, your parents will call you sometimes at the worst moment.
We're talking to friends or talking to someone that you don't like that you're a parisho with something to say something that just gonna embarrass you for the rest of your life. We have to go to work. So at least two things I enjoy for this talk, I cannot expand it a little bit. The story was, oh, you need to find a Republic Emissary to enter the barrier, which we have no idea what the hell this was.
And I still have questions about what really Republic Emissary is. And then when Neil, I mean, wings that said, oh, you shouldn't have find out about this until you graduate. Again, why are they hiding something? But after you graduate, we'll tell you the truth.
I mean, they're like 13 years old. I mean, but what are they hiding? Yeah, we're we have credits. We don't know.
We don't want anyone to know. Okay, when you don't need to be 17 to learn that, you can show that to a kid. The show needs to happen. I think there's something else happening going on in at the end of the day surface as we know there's something on there.
But the power from claims is, this again, I love the callbacks to all the previous episodes. I mentioned it last week that the way they saved the the only thing that was doing things that they had done in previous episodes, I love this. And not just that they called claimses first, but the loop between Wim and Jod when essentially three, well, actually, you can't really capture this ship because you already have a ship. So you can't cap them both at the same time.
And they both look at for like three seconds. It's like, we're really going to do this. Like just with that simple claims, it's like when I get my ship back. So I love that.
And then I said, finally, Wim claimed the ship. I will not hear otherwise. All right. He's the only one that claimed it.
And I thought he was finally going to be able to be the captain since we know he didn't get in that first episode. Maybe he'll buy the other show to get it. But then I love that friend came in. I call him claimses and claims it only for the kids.
This is not the way that it works. Blah, blah, blah. Punch right in the face close enough. 30 seconds.
I was like, it's not a thing but close enough. Yeah. Last week I was asking, I thought that case that SM33 was going to just break the power record and help him help the kids in some way. I didn't expect it to be this way.
Well, just that way was shot. Come on. It was a great, great comedic effect, but it worked perfect. It was hilarious.
Something that I think has some very clever, like build some expectations and then do something very different. Like in the not the last episode of the one before that, when Wim takes out the lightsaber, I was ready to scream. Like, I was like, he's going to ignite and he's going to hit Jock with it. It's going to be the coolest thing ever.
And when he had it upside down and bounced from his screams, it was hilarious. Same thing. And it's the way that the shot was composed and the expectation of it and the music building. You think it's going to be this heroic moment?
I know it just breaks it right off. They've done a great job playing with the expectations. Yeah. So then we get that chase through the cloud nebula and they find out that, oh, no, the ship is the key.
It's an ad ad in ship. So it's the only way that they can get in and out without being shot down. So really cool way to learn why they were able to escape. So as they're approaching ad ad in, finally, Jock gets his lightsaber out and beheads SM33, which I did not like one bit.
Do you think the knock kill the little round? And then tells them, okay, I just think your parents, I know what they look like if you say anything, I'm going to kill them also. So. Does anything say something like now, I know who to kill first or something?
Yeah, something like that. Do you think SM33, you'll come back, right? No fixing? Yeah, no, I'm pretty sure.
KB is going to be like, oh, it's only a billion bolts. Give me five minutes and I'll get it back. I thought when Jock told the droist when they get down to the planet, oh, just keep them in the ship so they don't get in trouble. I thought that's where they were going to rebuild them.
They didn't go too much of the stairs, but a great scene when I started to doubt that Jock was going to come back. I will see if the redemption is down. We'll leave that for a little bit later. I've always been, we've talked about it.
Always going to double cross them and then that triple cross will be the surprise where he comes back and saves them. But that scene when he's just letting it all go, the ramming to the case like shut up. I've had with all your Jock, and not just you, every single one of you, he's yelling at Neil. And when he's like, living alone, it's not just him, it's all of you, shut up and friend, what are they going to say, you'll stay there, I'm going to kill everyone.
I mean, got a lot of the guy, I saw Bill and I saw Pirate. We got a feel for the kids also. We got a great scene after getting some comedic bits to then go to that attention. I had the scene on my head.
The On X-Men are sending, Jock holding on saying goodbye to the kids. 33 popping up and being like, all right goodbye. And then we've off to the next adventure and to wind the Jedi and to be his best self, but like now, I don't think that's happening. Like he, yeah, I think he's a bad guy.
Oh, I'm going to wait a little bit so we can, but I don't know. I don't think there's, if this happened last week and then this week, we don't have enough time, unless next week is an hour and a half episode, which we know is not going to happen. Oh, that's like, Tony has this theory where the next episode is going to open with him being like, killing all the droids and being like, I'm here to help you. I'm a looks guy walker.
I'm here to. Stakes of the mission impossible, man. I didn't have my nose, but every time I watched the episode, why do you turn it's lights everyone at the end? It doesn't make sense because there's no danger right now.
So maybe I'll tell them. Maybe I'll threaten them. I don't know. I have no idea.
Like I'm done with speculating. Like, give me the show. But I love Syloth burn so much and I'm expecting definitely for her to come back with some sassy coming back at him because she's ready to say something when he's saying, what, what we're going to say and she, I guess she's afraid I'll find a voice to say. Hopefully I'll come back later.
But anyway, they get to add in and then I love the design of the ground just opening up. The front of the field. Yeah, 20 people died. That thing was open about them.
And then the platform comes up. Which is another great way to keep everything secured. Love the design of it going down the corner of the planet, whatever that was. It's a great, a great visual.
Now he's passing as a republic emissary. You know, the droids being as dumb as they are, believe him. And get me your finest refreshments. So they're sassy.
He's done. You saw it. You saw Rick from. Oh, yeah.
That was a great one. I thought that my one on my last, last week is when the parath get there, the mint is not going to be working or there's nothing there. So I'm surprised that not only is there one immense mint. That's about $39.
Yeah, just to make it that one, one, three, eight. No, $11.39. Yeah, sorry. If you take the one that he was in, this one, one, three, eight left.
What a great scene of him just finally getting all the credits, just falling in his face and smog. He's so happy. Finally, she was always happy. Everyone's happy.
That I love that scene when he starts looking up the goal, then it starts falling and he starts laughing. The music, they're like, genius. I mean, if you then want to play the, sorry, it's poetry rhymes. The first time we meet him, it's an empty vault, basically.
And right now it's a full vault, it's crying. That's like, that's like so much gold that his treasure is basically worth nothing. That's like a lot of gold. Even just, why is there so much freaking gold in that planet?
You want to get into that? So just to finish up, and then we'll talk about what we might expect in the finale. So the kids are reunited with the parents. Again, at what cost?
Because this is when they like service at the end of the episode. So let's go. Let's keep going with adding and all the gold before we jump back into Jordan. There's any redemption.
Oh, we heard the supervisor, the supervisor spoke. Stephen Fry. Stephen Fry, which I didn't know. Okay, that's fine.
Great. Who is the supervisor? Why is there so much gold? Why are they supplying gold to our team or republic?
Oh, we got to talk about that or like. Let's keep going with this and then we'll jump back to Jordan. We have like one minute left with the episode. What?
What do we have left? No, the parents show up and they'll hug and it's like. Yeah, that's what I said. All right.
So you want to talk about Jod? We finished with that? What do you want to talk about? I don't know.
You threw me off. We're not going to talk about any of that. I'm going to talk about something else. So just I'm following my notes.
What this show, one of my favorite things about this show is that we've already shown that we can do a Star Wars show. That's not really related to everything else that we know in terms of Jedi vs. Sith, Empire vs. Rebels, good guy by guy.
Yeah, that's there. Well, this is, it could say this isn't even a Star Wars show. If you put another name on it. So I'm glad that it's showing, hey, you can create a Star Wars show in this universe.
We felt focusing on the main conference that we are used to. So I know that that's out there. So now hopefully people can expand on whatever TV shows or movies we get. It doesn't have to be just saying a simple way, this guy workers are like, that would be something else.
No, I 100% agree. And I've seen a lot of people be like, oh, who's going to show up in the next episode? The time I'm like, I don't think anyone needs to show up. Like, all we need to know is that at the time the Mandalorian is happening and the next Galactic Civil War starts, there's something else out there.
Yeah. I don't really think anyone needs to come in. Like if we got Carson Taylor with something with Kim, I'm fine with that. But like, I don't think we need it.
I think that's where it would have worked. Give me Carson Taylor in that Kim episode. Hey, perfect works. He was there by saying, we know now where we are.
I don't need them on the Lord. I don't need Grogo. I don't need anyone else to show up that we know for this show to be a success or for this finale to keep the notes that he needs to hit. I think it's going to distract if it's a big reveal.
Unless it's less like three minutes. Just remember where we are. I could see them do this thing where they call Kim for help to save them from the pirates and the Republic calls Mando because we know he does jump for the Republic. Now, and they're like, hey, you've dealt with pirates before.
We need your help. And then he shows up. I don't think I would like that. Yeah.
I agree with you. I think it would distract from everything. Yeah. Again, we'll see how the show goes.
I understand that the Onyx Center is not enough to carry all that. You all especially if he wants to go to more vaults, he might need that bigger ship. I don't think that ship fits everything. No, I mean, but he's even going to call them.
He's so greedy. I want to take everything from her. Although he said a couple of times I need to call my own ship anyway. So let's talk about John.
Okay. Is John really bad? Is there a path to redemption? Do we need him to be redeemed?
And I'll just talk for myself right now. Even since the Trello's came out, I have been on the same boat that he's a Jedi. Or he used to be a Jedi. Maybe he was a father one or a knight during order 66.
Then he got into piracy. He'll come back. This is Star Wars. Of course, he's going to help out the end.
One thing that he's going to do across them, but the trick is that he's actually going to help them. Well, like you mentioned, when he started yelling at those kids, I'm like, I don't know if there's really not a redemption, but I don't know he's a good guy. And if he wasn't a Jedi, he wasn't really too into the Jedi code. So I'm only bold right now that if they decide to just leave him as the bad guy for the finale, it makes sense because there's not another villain out there, like Brutus is dead.
So there's no one that is going to come to attack at the kids. That he then needs to turn around and help the kids. Or let's supervise. So it's actually the big man.
We have it. That's all around them. Yeah, it's about him there. Another or it's no case.
They are supervising. So he's got another. He's a gold member. Yeah, I love gold.
So two questions here in similar vein. Is there a path to redemption for Jot? And do you even does he need one or do you want him to have one? I think I'm fine either way.
Like if he ends up just being a villain and dies of a villain or escapes a villain, I think we would have like one of the most interesting Star Wars villains we've had. And I would definitely like one more story from him like what was his life like, things like that. If they do send him to redemption, then great. Because now we have like more to law, I guess.
I don't know. So I'm fine either or like if I had my way, I think I think he would get redeemed. But I don't know. Like I just don't see the vehicle for it.
And that's like we quickly learned that it's not what we think and there's really something else going on. Like I just don't see it. Again, it's Star Wars at the end of the day. So there's always that hopeful vibe and life rate that can be redeemed in the last movie.
Anyone can be redeemed, right? It's just events how they do it. I know this is part of the universe. There have been rumors out there that character from this show will show up in the Filoni movie.
It makes sense. And I think I said a couple of weeks ago that you should bring Jot law back. Like if you have a more key out in the movie theater, or Star Wars movie and that name Jot law is there in the top, people are going to go watch that movie, even if it's there for 10 minutes. So I really hope that he survives this.
No, I really hope that we get more with him. I'm just around. Yeah. All the Mandalorian stuff has to do with most of the pirates.
All that's going to carry on hopefully for the Mandalorian movie plus the Filoni movie, which again, we just all provide with a little bit different. But it makes sense that someone from this show shows up, he wants to know even if he's a pirate that escapes. By the way, regarding redemption, like we can say like it's too late. He just needs to look right there.
One thing. The last minute. That's all he needs to do for them. I think they put him in jail.
We know that New Republic is not too good at keeping people in prison. Man, it will break him out. Yeah, man, it will break him. I need to go find someone.
You're the only one that can get me out there. You want me to get in cold? I got me in warm. Yeah.
So yeah, I can mention there's really no other villain out there for Jot to kind of fight. Orient char. He's dead. I mean, nobody knows.
No death, but I think he exploded inside that ship. Oh, where was it going? So yeah, I don't know. Like I said, it's not big or for him to be redeemed right now.
Unless there's something going on in that acting or something else is going on that we haven't seen. And then I go to, last week I mentioned who is that acting supplying all the credit to? Why do they have this working means? Why do they supply all these credits?
And the thought came in, even though I was always on the vote that I think was a Republic planet. I was seeing them at some point just because it held that J-like temple, which hopefully, but I don't see it at this point. I don't think that's relevant. Maybe it is an all-in-part planet and the supply and credits to reveal the first order or through the Empire remnants, basically.
So good. That'll be interesting. That'll be super interesting. If somebody tell the case where you graduate, well, actually, we're part of the Empire and we're trying to reveal what the other reason is.
I'll be super interesting. I love the theory that they stopped supplying gold to the Old Republic and the Republic forgot about them. And since it's all run by droids, they're just waiting for the MSR to come by. So you think he might be the first MSR to show up?
Maybe that's what it's supposed to do? Yeah, no, no, that's the thought that because there's a thousand vaults that are full of gold. I guess the galaxy is large. It has thousands of planets.
They need a lot of gold. But like... One is enough. Yeah, it was a big vault.
And they're like, no, there's a thousand more, really? Yeah, because if you print them and send them out, you don't need to keep 11,000 vaults. Exactly. I mean, that could be.
That could be. Maybe they're like the... I remember when I went to Norway, I learned that they had this fund. It's like this place where they have a trillion dollars, just in case something happens.
Like, for example, Colvair or something like that. Maybe it's that. I don't know. They're going that deep into the Republic political system.
Yeah, probably not. So yeah, can't wait for the finale. I do think that maybe they'll call Kim for help. And then that's the only way that you can bring someone that we know.
I thought about Carus on table just because of the X-wings. We saw Sev at the end of the Mandalore. So if they want to make that connection, they'll see in a little bit out of place. I mean, the Onyx in there, the new shiny Onyx in there, kind of reminds me a little bit of the race request.
So maybe I don't want to give it to the Injaren so quickly, but they can't feel a lot of people on that ship. But yeah, I don't have someone. I'm not expecting someone to show up. So I'll be fine if no one...
I'm hoping no one shows up. I just... Let the kids be the ones to figure this out. I think that someone will probably show up by it.
I'm hoping not. Yeah. And I posted this yesterday. I hope that Joe thinks he left the kids behind.
He trapped them or something. And they all show up and he turns around to you. And then first goes me. Just like he did in that first episode.
I will die and I'll be my favorite show in this episode. By the way, you know who could show up? And I would not be angry. I'd be super happy.
Kelly Monroe. Well, the whole man. That would be great. Just missing that thing.
And then the Maio D'amos shows up as her boyfriend. And then it will be my favorite episode. Oh, so... My accent.
My accent. It's... I forgot what I already said. I just love my...
You know, it's so proper. He is from Corsans. All right. Anything else?
I'll take four... I'll take two episodes, seven or as we get up. For the finale. I'll show that came.
I don't want to say I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. People had very low expectations.
That's some low expectations. And it's definitely... That's an amazing thing. Yeah.
Um, all right. So that does it. Um, well between fandom. I'm not going to put it, but just your thoughts.
I did listen to your... Your and Tony's episode on it, but... The Christmas special. Oh, I really liked it.
It's one of those specials that I thought it was unremarkable. I don't really like the Christmas special so much. Um, but I... That's seen in the middle when he's with Anita.
Yeah, I know. And he's one of the most special that made everything to me. I... I really liked it.
And it got me super excited for the season. Hopefully right around the corner. Yeah. We'll see.
I have been doing a watch-along just to get into it as we came into the Christmas special. So I was in this new team era. It was... It was a refreshing show.
Refreshing episode. That middle part was perfect. So heartwarming to see that Dr. be able to spend a whole year in one place and in a relationship with him.
I just did comment about, yeah, I don't have a chair. Now we thought about that. Yeah, this is chair time. No, I'm sure.
I didn't have chairs. Yeah. Oh, it was great. So...
And I like to... I like seeing the doctor enjoy his time. Instead of like, for example, Matt Smith in the Picasso episode. He's like, oh, this is how time usually goes.
Slowly and then the right-oriented order. So, yeah. No, I'm very, very excited for what's going on. Did you see a trailer for season two?
Yeah, if you want to call it a trailer. Yeah, it's a 30 second thing. Well, I'll take it. I'll take it.
I'll take it. Yeah. Excited. I took it very seriously.
Companion. We'll see how that relates. She doesn't want to be there. It's the only thing I took from the trailer.
I think it's kind of like a runaway bride situation. She shows up there. What are you doing here? Yeah, we'll see.
Oh, real quick. I want to talk about it. But I finished a battle for the first one in the reign of the empire book trilogy. I'm absolutely free.
So this is already... I can see it's helping. No, it's amazing. Oh, man.
It should have been at top of 2025 favorite Star Wars book. It's going to be at top of that. Or a lot of lists. I was actually looking at my Star Wars books pre-orders and I thought of canceling it.
I was like, am I really going to read it? But okay, I'll take it. I don't want you to skip the high republic because I want to talk about it. I'm not going to skip the high republic, don't worry.
But I know. But if you get your hands on this book, you can wait. The other ones can wait. This book is just amazing.
It's good. Okay. No, I'll put it on my list for sure. Because I know, again, I remember I know some of your...
How much you enjoy unfortunately, I'm for sure to dive into the politics of real world and what's happening out there. I'm from seeing it from a Star Wars point of view. I'm reading the book. But what it made me think about what's going on right now, what seems from a Star Wars, it's like so obvious and you just want to rip someone's throat out.
So I know a lot of people say, oh, if you love Andor, you love this book, yes. And if you love Rogue One, yes, but there's action in this book. But it's not an action book. It's the most level.
All the conversations. And if you like all the mon mon mon mon scenes in Andor and when she talks with Skaskar, I just forgot the name of his character. With Luton. So those conversations, those type of scenes that Mothma worked in, with parents on the book.
