SA Agriculture Resilience Tested: Western Cape Storm Damage, NAMPO Success, and FMD Relief

Farmersweekly.co.za reports that The intense storms that hit the Western Cape earlier this month caused “billions of rands” in damage to the province’s agriculture sector, according to provincial Minister of Agriculture, Economic Development and Tourism Dr Ivan Meyer. The series of intense cold fronts between 10 and 13 May caused widespread flooding, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to farming communities across key agricultural regions in the Western Cape. Some farmers have reported complete crop losses.
