SA Tourism Association says it's a little too late on revised visa regulations
from AM Live on SAfm · host SABC News and Current Affairs
SAfm — South Africa will ease some immigration restrictions, in an effort to boost investment and tourism but the South African Tourism Association says it's a litle too late. The changes to immigration rules are part of a broader economic turnaround programme announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa last week. Home Affairs Minister, Malusi Gigaba, says minors travelling in and out of South Africa will be required to prove both parents' consent. Gigaba was briefing the media in Pretoria on the amendments to the visa regulations. In June 2015 new rules required parents to carry an unabridged birth certificate for accompanying children and consent letters from parents who were not traveling.
