Prior to 2020, he split time between trading and real estate with CTC, helping expand the operator network to increase investment diversification across the United States. Mark is responsible for creating the CTC proprietary real estate underwriting models, monitoring all aspects of portfolio performance, and assisting in quarterly reporting. Since 2002, he has been active in the Chicago market for his own account with a focus on multifamily investments. He received a B.S. in Finance from University of Illinois in 2001 and holds Series 4, 7, 24, and 57 licenses. Preston Hartsell is a recent addition to the CTC Capital Management LLC team working in the Chicago office from Newport Beach, California. Preston was born and raised in Newport Beach where he then went on to earn a Division I baseball scholarship as an outfielder for the University of Southern California. While at USC, he also earned a B.S. in Real Estate Development from the Price School of Public Policy where he graduated from in 2022. Before CTC Capital Management, Preston interned for Essex Property Trust, a multi-family REIT based on the west coast, in their data analytics department where he was tasked with various financial forecasting duties surrounding the pandemic.
