SAfm — President Cyril Ramaphosa has instructed the government to urgently implement the process of putting the struggling South African Airways (SAA) under business rescue. The airline, suffered a crippling strike last month and was forced to cancel a number of flights and this pushed it to the brink of collapse. In a statement, the minister of Public Enterprises, Pravin Grodhan says placing the airline on a business rescue is an optimal mechanism to restore confidence in SAA and to safeguard it's good assets. SAA has not made a profit since 2011 and is dependent on government bailouts to remain solvent. We speak to economics reporter, Amina Accram and accountant/commentator Khaya Sithole
