Saab Sonett, a Slept on Classic

from Auto/Motive · host A/M

Saab Sonett  In this episode, I cover the Saab Sonett, a classic sports car first created in the 1950s and then again in the 1960s. This car saw success in SCCA racing and although filled with quirks was a great little sports car. First power by a 3 cylinder, 2 stroke engine, the Sonett would eventually be upgraded with a V4 from Ford, although horsepower would not be increased past 65 in any Sonett ever made!  Thanks for Listening!  Sources:  https://www.hemmings.com/stories/article/1970-1974-saab-sonett-iii https://www.rymax-lubricants.com/it/blog/what-is-the-difference-between-a-2-stroke-and-a-4-stroke-motorcycle-engine/#:~:text=Two%2Dstroke%20engines%20work%20by,in%20the%20hermetically%20closed%20crankcase. https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/ https://www.hagerty.com/media/valuation/saabs-quirky-sonett-gaining-attention/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two-stroke_engine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_Catherina https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_Sonett#:~:text=The%20Saab%20Sonett%20is%20an,1974%20by%20Saab%20of%20Sweden.&text=The%20first%20prototype%2C%20now%20known,II%2C%20V4%2C%20and%20III.
