Sabbath as Worship - Exodus 20:8-11; Deuteronomy 5:12-15

For human beings, called to bear Gods image, the sabbath is a repeated opportunity to reflect that image in our own pattern of work and rest. This gets to the heart of the sabbath as worshipful rather than simply usefulno matter how beneficial it may be. The issue at the core of the Sabbath is What (or who) is worthy of our praise? The answer that the Sabbath always proclaims is, the God of creation and redemption.
