In this message, Pastor John Tuttle emphasizes the importance of the Sabbath, a rest in time. In Genesis, God made the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th – why? He didn’t NEED to rest. But there is value in a time of reflection, of enjoying our work. God wove a time of rest into the very fabric of the Jewish culture – rest on the Sabbath weekly, a sabbatical year every 7 years, and a jubilee year every 50 years (7 times 7).
