Am 22. Dezember 1989 kam Familie Erhard das erste mal in damalige (noch) DDR.Schnell stand fest, sie wollten mitgestalten an der sich abzeichnenden Wiedervereinigung beider deutscher Staaten. Familie Erhard wollte ausdrücklich keine staatlichen Gelder für ihr weiteres gemeinnütziges Tun in Anspruch nehmen.Unzählige Projekte und Initiativen zur Vermittlung des historischen Erbes der Teilungszeit als auch der gelebten deutschen Einheit sind durch sie seither entstanden. Andreas Erhard erzählt was die Familie antreibt, warum sie fast alleine mit dem Engagement waren und was sie heute die Bundesrepublik betrachten und was das Engagement mit ihnen selbst gemacht hat.
