Sacraments, Noah, and the Tower of Babel

Beginning with Noah’s post-flood story, we examine his role as a “second Adam,” the troubling events surrounding his son Ham, and what they reveal about original sin. We then unpack the Tower of Babel, its implications for human pride and divine judgment, and how Pentecost reverses its curse. Throughout, we discuss the necessity of mystery in Christianity—why faith sometimes requires us to say, “I don’t know”—and how trust in God’s plan is at the heart of salvation. We also touch on sacraments, election, and how the Abrahamic covenant sets the stage for God’s redemptive work.
