“You can’t always get what you want,” but what if you were offered what you needed and refused it? There are plenty of reasons we might not be willing to receive something or someone we need: “it looks like something from my past;” “It isn’t really my style;” “It's not the right time in my life;” “I’m not ready for that type of change;” “It sounds too ordinary;” “I can’t deal with any change right now;” “If I’m open to receiving this, I’ll have to admit I needed it in the first place.” Is it possible to change our minds and become open to receiving what we want and need, even if it comes in packaging we don’t like?
