The second Southern African Development Community’s Industrial Week enters its second day this morning. It was launched in August 2015 on the margins of the SADC Heads of State Summit in Botswana and has since established a secretariat that resides at the New Partnership For African Development Business Foundation. The theme of the Week is Partnering with the Private Sector in Developing Industry and Regional Value Chains. The Strategy and Roadmap of this Industrialisation Week, sets out three potential growth paths, namely agro-processing, mineral beneficiation and downstream processing value chains. We today in our outside facility here in Sunninghill, west of Johannesburg, we are joined by:Mapolao Rosmary Mokoena of the Southern African Development Community Secretariat (Botswana)Dr Monanne Monanne – also from the SADC Secretariat.Mohan Vivekanandan – Group Executive of the Strategic Department of the Development Bank of Southern AfricaCharl Harding Business Development Manger at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research in South Africa
