Saddle Ridge’s Trash Crisis | Calgary News

Saddle Ridge residents are fed up as their streets turn into illegal dumping grounds—sofas, mattresses, and more show up daily. The City of Calgary confirms this is a citywide issue, especially in the northeast, posing safety risks for people and animals. They’re urging residents to use 311 to report dumping, highlighting that proper disposal at the landfill costs just $25 (for under 550 lbs) versus steep fines up to $10,000 and cleanup duties if caught. Community solutions like more public bins are being suggested—clean neighborhoods start with everyone doing their part.
