Brian talks about sampling different literary genres and learning what blogging is good for, in addition to reading excerpts from his recently-published novel, Through the Pale Door. Brians novel was selected for publication by Hub City Writers Project and was awarded the 2009 South Carolina First Novel Prize -- it chronicles the experiences of a young woman who takes a summer job at her fathers South Carolina steel mill.
