Join Host Candace Gish as she interviews a variety of extraordinary women, whom are working to make the world a better place! #DivasThatCareAfshan's BIO: I am the Executive Director of Safe Embrace, a local nonprofit domestic violence organization located in the Reno Tahoe area.Shanda's BIO: #goldentampon was founded in 2017 by Shanda Golden and is now an annual event that distributes tampons and pads for homeless women. Shanda believes that by working together and providing feminine hygiene products for our sisters in transition we can help homeless women restore their dignity.  The number of families in the US needing assistance continues to increase every year.   The lack of access to menstrual health products for people who are either homeless or low-income is appalling.  SNAP or welfare programs do not cover the cost of these necessary products.
