Safe: Hungry Lions | Daniel 6
from Overflow Podcast Hosted by Overflow Church
Daniel 6, we see more than a story about a lions’ den—it’s a picture of faithfulness in the face of opposition. Daniel was trustworthy, neither corrupt nor negligent, and his consistent devotion to God set him apart. Even when jealous leaders conspired against him, and even when prayer was outlawed, Daniel stayed faithful. In this message, Pastor Josh unpacks how Daniel’s integrity, excellence, and faithfulness positioned him for God’s protection—not just in the den, but in his daily life. We’ll explore what it means to live with an excellent spirit, to resist corruption, and to remain steadfast when the “lions” of life roar against us. Just as God shut the mouths of the lions for Daniel, He is still our refuge today. And just as Daniel points us to Jesus—who also faced a sealed pit but rose victorious—we are reminded that our God is faithful, and death itself has been defeated. 📖 Key Scriptures: Daniel 6, Proverbs 10:9, 1 Peter 5:8–10, Colossians 3:23–24, James 4:7, John 12:24 🔥 Themes: Faithfulness, Integrity, Prayer, Excellence, Overcoming Opposition, Jesus’ Victory If you’re looking for encouragement to stand firm, live faithfully, and walk with integrity in a world full of compromise, this message is for you. www.overflowdfw.comIn Support the show
