David Scott heads up the leisure and hospitality practice within the corporate and sector risks practice of Keoghs. He joins Christian Harris on the podcast to discuss insurance claims defence in these sectors, focussing on slips but also with wider lessons to learn. David is a senior liability lawyer with over 30 years' experience of major employers liability and public liability claims, including many often quoted cases within textbooks. David has also recently led a leisure client's defence of a large illness outbreak, resulting in a 219 claimant class action, which was the first UK land-based large class action successfully defended, resulting in multi-million pound savings for the client. He and Christian discuss this case, plus a landmark dance floor slip accident defence for the same client.
