Safety and Security - Interview with retired police officer Anthony Beattie

from Beyond Barriers Radio · host Beyond Barriers Media

#BeyondBarriersPodcast hosts Jeff Schoep and Acacia Dietz interview retired police officer Anthony Beattie. In Episode 27 we discuss the relationship between police and community, school safety, and the struggles police as individuals face in both personal and professional life. Anthony has over 20 years of service in law enforcement, most at a city declining into one of the most violent in the nation. The student attack at Columbine drove training across his department, evolving their every day tactics and response. Yet he did not see these changes in the way schools respond to incidents, evidenced in Parkland. Anthony began researching acts of violence and student crisis, and spends much of his time studying security as an ASIS member and PSP applicant. Now Anthony is a co-founder of PEACE (Police Engagement And Community Excellence) and is the Protection Coordinator for ATAP Security. For more information on PEACE and ATAP please visit: PEACE: https://communityandpolice.com & https://atapsecurity.com For more information on ATAP Hall Monitor: https://ataphallmonitor.com Jeff Schoep is the Founder of Beyond Barriers. From 1994 until early 2019, Jeff Schoep was the leader of the largest neo-Nazi organization in the United States, the National Socialist Movement (NSM). In March 2019 he became the highest profile former white nationalist to ever walk away from far-right extremism in the USA. Since then, Jeff has been an outspoken advocate against the ideology that he had been part of for 27 years, making him uniquely qualified to understand extremism and extremist ideologies. Jeff now works as an International Extremism Consultant helping to educate communities and policy makers on the threat of white supremacy and how to effectively counter and prevent violent extremism. https://jeffschoep.com https://linktr.ee/jeffschoep Follow Jeff Schoep on Social Media Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/SchoepJeff LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeff-schoep-126472213/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jeffschoepofficial https://www.facebook.com/TheOfficialJeffSchoepPage Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jeff_schoep Beyond Barriers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to a new approach of countering and preventing extremism.
