Safety concerns prompt city to ban parking on 300 North in Willard

The Willard City Council approved a new no-parking ordinance for 300 North on Thursday, citing concerns about gravel truck traffic, the road’s narrow width and emergency vehicle access. Under the ordinance, parking is prohibited at any time on both sides of 300 North from U.S. Highway 89 to the Willard Canyon trailhead approximately 0.58 miles to the east, regardless of whether “No Parking” signs are posted. The restriction also prohibits leaving trailers or other property within the area.
