The intervention God provided may well have protected France from the coming heresies and Catholic persecutions. During this period of history, God seems to have a fondness for the French, and we can see His providence throughout the evolution of France as a nation… possibly the same sort of providence seen in early American history, indicating God's will that US borders remain strong and intact.
