Saint John Maximovitch, Metropolitan of Tobolsk: A Life of Humble Service

Today we remember Saint John Maximovitch, Metropolitan of Tobolsk and All Siberia, a devoted bishop and teacher who lived in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Born in 1651, he dedicated his life to preaching, education, and missionary work, especially among the people of Siberia. Saint John was known for his humility, compassion, and deep spiritual insight. He founded schools, published important religious works, and cared for the poor. He died peacefully in 1715, remembered for his kindness and dedication to God's will.Support the show
