Saint Leucius, Bishop of Brindisi: A Light for the Pagans

Today we remember Saint Leucius, born Eutropius in Alexandria to devout parents. After his mother’s death, he was raised in a monastery where he grew in faith and humility, eventually becoming a priest and abbot despite initial reluctance. Saint Leucius was chosen to be bishop of Alexandria but was sent by God to bring the Christian faith to Brindisi in Italy. There, through miracles and preaching, he converted thousands, including soldiers and city leaders, before his peaceful death and the building of churches in his honor.Support the show
