Saint Maud - Episode 68

from Rewind of the Living Dead · host Nerdcore Movement

First time filmmaker Rose Glass came up with the idea for her debut movie back when she was still in school in 2014 and it started out as a love story between a woman and the voice inside her own head. According to Glass, she was fascinated by the various conditions that people can develop while interacting with the voices in their heads. The idea eventually evolved to a story about a woman who has conversations with God, which she wanted to explore in order to better understand the stories behind devout religious worshippers who do terrible things to other people or to themselves in the name of God. Eventually, Glass settled on a script that followed a young private caregiver, who is recently converted to Catholicism after her own mysterious past and she becomes obsessed with saving the soul of the dying woman she’s been tasked to watch over during her final days. In the latest episode of Rewind of the Living Dead, we’re going to say our prayers and confess our sins as we review the 2020 film “Saint Maud”… Music courtesy of Andrew Scott Bell and Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio For more Rewind of the Living Dead, visit our website or follow on social media:https://www.rewindofthelivingdead.com/Twitter: https://twitter.com/rewindofdeadFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/rewindoflivingdeadInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/rewindoflivingdead/
