SAINT MAUD / HOUR OF THE WOLF: Good Damage

Praise films and silence the voice(s) speaking inside your head for the very first Cadaver Dogs episode of the New Year!  Devin, David and Rob are getting spiritual with last year's SAINT MAUD, the first feature by promising new filmmaker Rose Glass. The film follows a young medical aid who believe she has direct communication with God himself, and it is her duty to share this gift. What's better than voices in one person's head you ask, why it's a union of voices born of a marriage gone awry upon an isolated island. In Ingmar Burgman's HOUR OF THE WOLF, we attempt to understand something about this strange horror story by the film master.   Stick around horror hounds while we discuss religion, the value of pain, and whole host of interpretations in these metaphor lanced insanity flicks.  Follow us at:  instagram.com/cadaverdogspod twitter.com/cadaverdogspod facebook.com/cadaverdogspod . .   "The Tumult Breaks Loose" by Ethan Warren https://www.brightwalldarkroom.com/2018/11/09/hour-of-the-wolf-1968/ .  .
