Being awarded a prestigious Cedar Commission to create new songs was validating for 20-something Alicia Thao. But in truth she’s been honing her craft since she was a young teenager. On Wednesday May 25, Alicia is opening for No No Boy at the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis. When Alicia spoke with Phil Nusbaum, she talked about why she started writing songs.
