But you should support the show, become a patron. We need all the support we can get and we are slowly inching closer to me getting a pie in the face. We get the 350 patrons by week one of the preseason. My wife will gladly shove a raspberry pie in my face.

So do it. And all you people that complain about the ads all the time, patrons, Andrew, they never have any ads at all. So just do it. It's true.

So we're thinking of topics. And as we get into the doldrums, we're just counting down the days to Saints Camp. Me and Andrew try to find, think of, I forget the word that you use it, like off the wall or just ridiculous topics to pass the time and amuse ourselves and patrons and listeners. And you came up with a great one for today.

You came up with the top five Saints players we hate. And you said, me and you were going to compare, we didn't tell each other the list. And we're going to, at the end, we're going to talk about players that we didn't include. But I got my list.

Do you want me to go? I'll start it off. Well, no, I should guess yours. So if you're going first, then I guess.

So I figured, tell me if I'm right or wrong. There's no way that you're doing a top five players you hate the most without Bob Yabear. That is correct. I mean, Bob Yabear's got to be on the list.

I feel like I know you well enough and we've hung out and we've talked and we've done it up five times together. That I know Bob Yabear belongs on there. So I'm glad. Yeah.

I mean, Bob Yabear, like it is not just like revisionism, hate where like I liked them in the 90s and was like, now I look back and I'm like, he was a trash quarterback and he was their main one of the main reasons. Wait, no, no, no. I hated him when he was the quarterback. I hated him so much.

When he left to Atlanta, I got to Wade Wilson, Jersey. Like I was like pumped that he was gone. Like I at the time blamed him for most of the playoff failures, especially Philadelphia and especially Atlanta. He played like trash.

He wasn't any good. And at the time, in the 90s, all you had was the newspaper and talk radio. You didn't have advanced statistics. So it was hard to make the case against Bob Yabear.

But I'm telling you now, if he was the quarterback of the Saints now and playing like a hero, he'd be hated. He'd be hated. Now there's a standard, you know, like now there's a standard for how you should play quarterback back then. There really wasn't any Orleans.

So I think there were some people that felt like Bob Yabear was a breath of fresh air in the sense that like, we'd really only seen Archie and Archie through a ton of picks. You know, everyone else was garbage. And so maybe he didn't look so bad because, you know, he was winning games. You know, I know it wasn't really like, it was kind of despite him.

It was not thanks to him, but he was winning games. So I think Bob Y kind of got away with the way he played. But I hear, yeah, I think if he was here now, it wouldn't be the same. But you know, it's interesting.

Just hearing you talk about that, you mentioned the name Wade Wilson, AK Woodrow. That's a glaring omission. He's not on my top five list, but like I feel like I blew it, not putting him on my top five list after he saves me. So, I mean, my other four, I'm not as confident.

And A-Bear was a lock. So should I guess the other four? No, I was going to guess one of yours. Okay.

So I was going to say, Stefani Anthony's got to be on your list. I like Stefani Anthony. Oh my God. He's not on my list.

So who's the first guy on your list? We didn't rank him. We just broke down the five most. Well, I think I should guess my five and you should guess your five.

Okay. And then we'll do that. Okay. So we'll do that.

So guess again for me. I bet Junior Galette. No, Junior Galette was not on my list. What?

What's wrong with you? How could you not include him? I didn't. I had my other guy.

I had Anthony on my list. I hate Stefani Anthony. Here's the reason why. Dude, he was so bad.

They caught him and got rid of him, brought him back, and he managed to cost them home field again against the 49ers. Because they had to play him. Remember? In 2019?

And so I hate him. I also hate him because I get sucked into Twitter arguments. Maybe it's my own fault. I view the Jimmy Graham trade as a fucking wash at best borderline failure because they traded Jimmy Graham for a first round pick and Max Unger.

And they whiffed on the first round pick and you don't trade a Hall of Fame tight end for a really good center. I don't care. And that's why that that's part of me. I hate.

I hate Anthony. I hate Stefani Anthony. I can never. It's interesting.

Like another guy, Jonathan Sullivan is not on my list. And it's like, I should hate him more than. But it's like, I don't really blame him for getting drafted high. I blame the GM and the coach or whatever for blowing it.

If the guy doesn't like football that much, I don't know. Jonathan Sullivan was kind of quiet. He sucked. Yeah, he ate the buffet.

But I don't know. That's kind of funny because he's fat. I don't know, man. I have soft spot in my heart for fat guy football.

Fat lazy sons of bitches. So I've got two of mine. Guys try to guess my third. Okay, Brandon Browner.

He's on your list. He's on my list. Okay, so I got two. All right, this one's really random, but I threw it out there just because I thought there was a shot that maybe you would include him.

I have to Bucky Jones. Yes, oh my God. Let's go. Let's go to Bucky Jones.

He is the frustration of the gym haslet era in human form. God, I can't believe I nailed that. Like I know you too well. Like this is when you know we talk too much.

When you're top five hated Saints of Tibucky Jones, and I was actually right. Yeah, I mean, but here's the thing. Like he, I remember I was working for Bucky D at the time and the Saints traded for Tibucky Jones. And Bucky D when the news came in, you know, they had the internet there.

It came in. I forgot how it broke. He turns around in the swivel chair and he goes, Ralph, I don't like that fucking trade. If Bill Bellichock doesn't want him, I don't want him.

I feel like he's stupid. And like that was it. Like Tibucky Jones was dumb. He couldn't have, he would try to kill people.

He'd whiff. The Saints paid him all that money. Like he just, but he was super physically gifted. Like he's everything about the haslet era that we hated.

Drafting dudes that are physically gifted that are dumb. Like it's just like I hated Tibucky Jones. He is so like of all the gym haslet era of all the players. I hated him the most.

So it's hilarious. Yeah, first of all, what I find fascinating is that Buddy D's evaluation of things is so simplistic and yet so genius. Like it's amazing to me. He has like these very simple takes, but they're always spot on.

I mean, he nailed it once again with Tibucky Jones. But yeah, man, he was garbage, high garbage and you know, it is what it is. But all right, let me guess my last one for you. Okay.

All right. So I'm three out of four so far. Yeah. All right.

My last guess, this is another dark horse. I'm guessing this is not on your list, but I threw Charles Brown on there. Ooh, see, he was on my... He hated Charles Brown.

I didn't. He was on my list. He was... He would definitely make your top ten at least.

He was definitely... He's like on the honorable mention. Like I hated him. The thing that makes me hate him less is his transition.

We transitioned from Charles Brown to Armstead. So it lessens my hatred of him. Where like if they had transitioned from Charles Brown to like... What was the guy that they always had that tackled Bryce somebody?

Bryce Harris. Bryce Harris. Like if they transitioned from one horrible tackle to another, I think my hatred of Charles Brown would linger. But they were like, we hate Charles Brown to...

Sean Payton admitted. He's like, I've seen enough. I hate him just as much as you guys were putting in this rookie from Arkansas Pine Bluff. He got him out of there before he could get Drew Hurt.

If Charles Brown had gotten Drew like a torn ACL, I think, you can differently. You're probably right. He'd be up there with Anders Pete. So that's my list.

Your list, man. I thought about it hard. Wait, hold on. Wait, who were your five?

So the one I had... I missed Stefan and who else did I miss? You missed... I had Jonathan Sullivan.

I hated Sullivan just because, again, it's... With Tabaki Jones, Sullivan encapsulated all the draft failures of Hazlett and how they had it. They had Joe Warren. They had to.

Aaron Brooks was on average, maybe slightly below or above average, depending on the day. Quarterback. They had a good offensive line. Like, all they needed was competent fucking defense.

And they traded up for Jonathan Sullivan. And he was as big of a bust as you could possibly have. And they never let him behind the mic. That's a thing.

Like, with Sullivan, I don't even know what he sounds like. They never let him speak. And so he never had interviews. So I don't even know what to think of the dude, honestly.

He never made me that angry. I was super frustrated that he wasn't playing in games. And yeah, obviously they gave up too first. But I direct most of my anger at the staff for Blondowen.

So, you want to guess my top up? My first guess for you was Junior Golan. Because you fought with him on Twitter. And I just figured he would be on the high.

So the quick story there, if you haven't heard, is that when I used to do my Saints Nation blog, I would do the Player Grades. And he came across a mediocre grade that I gave him. And he basically came at me, slid into my DMs. And he was like, yo, what the fuck with this grade?

Like, why are you writing this grade? I had a great game. Blah, blah, blah. And he just came at me on social media.

And I'm not going to lie, these were the first signs that the guy was kind of psycho. And I definitely was a little intense and a little... He was coming on really strong. To the point where I was like, man, I'm on this guy's shit list.

And it was not making me scare. But it definitely a little part of me was like, with this guy, find my address, hunt me down, and kick my ass for what I wrote. And so I don't know, Junior Golan always scared me a little bit. And he searches his name on Twitter.

So I feel like he's like that guy, the Steve Buscemi character, that has that list. And he puts his lipstick on and he crosses Billy Madison off if he apologizes on that sort of thing. So, I don't know. Yeah, Golan's on there.

Of course. Can I say to Bucky Jones? Because I felt like that would be... You can.

He's not on there for me. He's not on there. So I'm just saying. Here's one that I may be remembering this wrong, but I feel like when you first started coming on this podcast, because of your grades, I feel like in 2011, you hated those fat defensive tackles since it.

And I had Sean Rogers on the list. Maybe I'm completely... Well, I'm completely misremembering that. But I just remember you coming on the podcast.

And one of the things I loved and why eventually you got... He's like, you went on a rant against Sean Rogers. And I remember that. Am I remembering that wrong?

I remember it correctly. I got other guys that I have much bigger reasons for. And by the way, I'm sure these guys... I just want to make it clear.

I kind of feel bad banging on these guys. I don't know any of these guys personally. I mean, there's some guys that are... Unless they're terrible human beings, like Darren Sharper.

I'm sure these guys have families. They've moved on from football and like... Well, with the exception of Junior Galette. They're probably upstanding citizens, or they're fine.

So, I don't have any of these. It's more just as fans, like the irrational hatred thing. But no, Sean Rogers is not on my list. You got two more guesses.

So, this one, if he's not on this list, I just give up. And I don't know you. I think I know you. Oh, and Cruz.

Yeah, he's on there. Nice. He's on there. I mean...

Yeah. I mean, the big thing... Well, first of all, he tried to kick Drew Brees' ass. He threw him up against the locker.

So, when you're at center and you try to beat up your quarterback, and then you go on a podcast and brag about it, like you're a piece of shit at the highest level. Like, can you imagine? Like, he pulled Drew Brees off of a pile for a fight. And then he realized, like, oh my god, he's Drew Brees.

Can you fucking imagine if they had breaking news and it's like Drew Brees got his job broken by only Cruz studies out four to six weeks? Like, yeah, I mean, it would be nuts. And you know, also the whole like captain thing, they made him captain and then he freaking... They make him captain and then he's like, yeah, you know what?

Like, I'm just gonna quit on the team because I'm not starting anymore. Like, I don't know. Like, your teammates vote you for captain. Like, you have a responsibility to stick around even if you get benched, I feel like.

So I was trying to think of like a sure shot guy. Charles Brown was one I was going to use. But the way you talked about him, I don't think not so much. And like the defensive guys were so terrible.

I was trying to think of a linebacker because remember they signed all this like Will Chamberlain and Lofton. You know, I mean love Craig Robertson, right? Because he had Will Chamberlain. But anyway.

So I was trying to think of the linebacker and this is a name I'm going to throw out there. I don't think it's right. But I want to make fun of him anyway. Nate Stupar.

No. No. I have no beef with Nate Stupar. How could he be one of my most hated Ralph with the house?

He's just like a special teams back. Yeah. Whatever. He fed fucked up games.

He was dumb on social media. Like maybe I was misremembering that. I thought he like you ran it against him. That's a terrible guess.

I mean that is absolutely terrible. Yeah. So that's it. That's your list.

That's my list. Okay. So you missed Brandon Browner. I mean.

Well, yeah. I like I come on. Well, that's the thing I got confused because we're going back and forth. I should have.

Yeah. We already talked about him. So Browner is at the top of my list. Just the flags.

And then he's actually kind of become a terrible human being post football. Also, you got arrested and all that. So like Browner was just the worst. Browner was the worst because he was probably banged up and just decided like I don't know why the coaches kept playing him because clearly he couldn't play anymore.

And he's just like, I'm just going to grab the guy. I'm just going to. He got hurt in the preseason the one year he's with the Saints. They carted him off.

And we were like, Oh shit. He bought a knee. He's done so. And we were like, Oh, it's not as bad any injuries we thought.

Really we should have been we should have been like good. He tried to play through it. And it's like, but then you know, he was grabbing players during the game. He was getting flagged.

He was grabbing media members in the locker room post game. Like the dude was just, I mean, he was a four lines lines yelling. Yeah, lines yelling dude. That dude I have so many DMS from that.

Like that dude rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. He was always nice to me. But whoo. Yeah.

Yeah. No comment. But yeah, no, I think Browner was at the top of my list. You got the let and you got crew.

And then the other two, the first one I'm shocked you didn't get this because I have long, long shouted my disdain for this guy. I mean, you know, do some Calisters one of my all time favorites. Right. You know, after Dalton Hill, your deuce is probably number two or number three all time.

I love to do. You don't steal money from deuce McAllister. You do not take cash from the dude's locker like a petty thief taking cash from your teammates locker. And on top of that, you made millions.

You were a high priced free agent and you were total garbage. So yeah, Albert Connell forgot about Albert Connell make top of the list for me. I forgot about Albert Connell. That's 20 years ago.

My memories shot. Yes. So Albert Connell, I mean, and Eddie was garbage and he came from the Redskins. You know how much I hate them.

So, you know, the perfect storm. Albert Connell top of the list. The fifth one is super obscure and I mean, I wouldn't expect you to get it, but you will like once I tell you, you'll be like, Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I know you hate this guy. The answer for me is Doug Nussmeyer is number.

Oh, the reason I. Yeah, deep cut. The reason I hated him so much is that I knew he was garbage. Like I knew in my heart of hearts, I saw him in preseason.

I saw him try to play this young quarterback from Idaho and he was just an epic flaming pile of dog shit. He was awful beyond comprehension beyond everyone knew he was going to be awful. You know, there was no there was no doubt that he was going to be awful and yet did go because the quarterback situation was so poor, you know, and each week they were losing and he would throw out wurfully with the rally. Joe's and like it just got you throughout were full and it just got so bad that finally he was like, you know what?

Let's try this Nussmeyer kid and I get it in the sense that like everyone else was awful, but it just got worse with Nussmeyer and it was one of those things where it was like everyone knew it was going to be terrible. There was no question about like how it was going to go on the field and it was just like, Dica, why are you doing this to us? Like just go back to the Billy Joe's or were full or like sign sign a hobo like under the bridge, whatever. Do not play Duch Nussmeyer.

We all know how this goes. The only thing I ever remembered about Duch Nussmeyer was they played Seattle in 1997 and he sure was terrible and they put in Nussmeyer and the game goes to overtime and Winford Tubbs intercepts the ball and it's at the Seattle 20 yard line and Doug Bryan had been struggling for the Saints for kicker. Dica was so he knew in his heart that Doug Nussmeyer was so terrible. He didn't even let Doug Nussmeyer go on the field to hand off three times and then kick the field goal.

He's like, nope, we are kicking the field goal right now. First play and in that game, weirdly Andrew Doug Nussmeyer. He was four four four forty six yards and that Saints win. It's probably the peak of his career with the Saints, but I didn't think of him.

I didn't think of him as like one of the Saints players that you would hate. Yeah, I don't know why I just Doug Nussmeyer really rubbed me right. It was one of those things where it was like a he's sure was I mean one of the all time where's quarterback since St. S history.

And I remember people saying like it really can't get any worse. Like when Nussmeyer goes in there like it can't get worse except it got worse. You know it was one of those and yeah I don't know it's kind of again it's kind of irrational you know it's just one of those things as it came where like I was already fed up with Dica and the team and like I just feel like that was the final straw like really you're gonna put this guy in now you're gonna make this worse for me. Yeah, so and I probably should have directed most of that at Dica but I don't know you you were better at guessing my hatred than I was a viewer.

I knew I was really proud at the Bucky Jones I was. Yeah, I all in cruise was easy because I just remember you've lost your mind over him like in blog posts and everything. I feel like I just did like a yeah two I did like a month long tribute to hating all in cruise. Yeah, the thing is I missed Alber Connell because I forgot about it but also when I was researching names that I thought you might hate I didn't start I didn't start with Haslett until like 2002 2003 so Connell was only on the Saints the one year so I missed him.

2001 I might have his name might have popped up and I'd done it so real quick the names that left that got left off for me. I left off Gil Fennedy Von Donbar I hated all those fucking I hated this bar Donbar was just a fumbling nightmare. Yeah, it's like all we need is a competent running back because poor dude Dalton Hill you blew out his knee because you gave it to him 400 times in 1989 all we need is a competent running back in 1990 and 91 and we probably went at the Saints probably went to play off game and fenner they got Fennedy running getting carries he was terrible he fumbled a bunch one year. The other ones that I Milton Mac I shouldn't hate him interesting I shouldn't hate him because it's not his fault he was like they signed him on a Wednesday before the playoff game against Atlanta because all the corners were injured he had to play Michael Haynes just roasted him in that playoff game including the game winning touchdown late in the fourth corner so I hate him and this one is a weird deep cut for me.

I fucking hated Danelle L.R.B. because that dude was like the only competent one of the only competent guys the Saints head and that stretch of defense or not paid any never fucking played and it drove me back. He was he was he was fun when he was on the field but he was very frustrated and it drove me baddie so those are my those are my ones that just missed the list. Well I feel like I'd be remiss to not mentioning Aaron Brooks even though we we are both Aaron Brooks fans and so I feel like we both defend him but like I feel like he both he and I would say both he and Archie to some degree I think both of them are kind of controversial figures.

I have no problem with either but I just want to point out those are as we didn't mention that some Saints fans really hate it and Jason David you know we've talked on this podcast about why we don't hate him because he faced the music and he was always professional and he was always professional. Even when he was god awful and games he always took it like a man and so I have respect for him even though he was all. And the one thing about Jason David too is the one reason I and this is a weird thing too. One of the reasons why I don't hate him is I remember in that year in free agency he was like the fifth guy on their corner back list like other guys were signing with other teams they couldn't do it and he was like we have to get a corner we have to get a corner and they finally did it where he was restricted free agent they signed him with a cold and they gave up before him pick so like I knew like I knew that he was a desperation move so I never like totally hated him like other big free agents.

I was like other big free agent signings where like they were like this is the guy you know I knew that that was kind of a desperation move so I never hated him as much as other people. A couple of there's an Andre Royal obviously he had the camp Cleveland with the bad coin and detached his retina and then he also had that. Yeah and that's that sick picture that he put in Wurfels locker room like Royal was just a disturbing individual Andre. Chip Lomiller is another guy.

Chip Lomiller is a good one yeah. I mean I can't do this podcast without mentioning Ted Gregory for Kevin. You know Sean Knight you know all the bus picks the bus picks like they don't offend me as much because it's like again it's just like they were just overdrafted but like being a bad player isn't really enough for me like you I mean Doug Nussmeyer it's kind of irrational but the other ones like I feel like there's good reasons why I don't like them. The last one that I didn't put on but I was tempted to was toy cook because because the thing is with him he's the original toast like you think you think that every corner that you call toaster I feel like Fred weary Fred Thomas Jason David Brandon Browner like they've all been called toast at various points.

And the thing about toy cook was he thought like he was in a lead corner because he'd be like my statue that I don't give up that many touchdowns above. I'm like dude you play with the greatest linebackers in the history of the world. Yeah like stop telling us you're a great corner I don't want to fucking hear it. You know so that was one reason but that's my list so this show I really enjoyed this.

This was a fun topic and guys in the comments. The last thing I want to say is Carl Smith you're lucky we did players only because the way he called the football game. I mean if we were doing coaches he makes the list for sure. If we ever do coaches you got Carl Smith you got Rick Venturi you got Daniel Bramowitz.

I mean the coaches are more recent coach. Rob Ryan kind of went from love to hate very quickly. Greg Williams went from love to hate quickly but who's the wasn't there a position was there a special teams coach that fans just hated. He coaches at LSU now McMahon.

Yeah he's he's up there. I mean coaches could go could go deep but maybe we'll do that as we get closer to any kid. We'll see but I thoroughly enjoyed this one and as you listen to this podcast comment on it on Twitter and on the patreon. Patreon site tell us.

We didn't mention Kevin Houser but I feel like he gets a pass because like he did he did seven eight years of service on the field. It was solid. So I feel like I give him a pass for the tax shenanigans. Yeah and he was a long snapper so he doesn't have like that he built Saints players out of money.

I don't care about that as much as we do on field right. You know like if he had a stretch of like bad long snaps he'd be on this list for sure. But thanks everybody. Thanks for joining us.

Support the show. We need it to keep this community growing to keep doing the fun stuff we're doing. So for Andrew I'm Ralph. We will see you again tomorrow.
