Sally McRae is a professional ultrarunner and mountain athlete for Bare Performance Nutrition, Nike, Leki, Coros, and Camelbak. She is also the host of the Choose Strong Podcast, and is a content creator where she uses her platform to encourage others to live strong and courageously no matter the circumstance. And she is a mother and wife on top of it all. Last year, Sally endured the epic Choose Strong project, spanning 5 different races covering 507 miles within 81 days; a truly incredible accomplishment. And now, she is gearing up for her first 200+ mile race at Cocodona 250. But not only is she doing Cocodona; she is also doing Moab 240, Tahoe 200, and Bigfoot 200 all in the same year as well! In this episode, Sally shares how she approached her training for Cocodona 250, her mental strategy for taking on a race distance that she is new at, and her strategy for race day.
