Salt & Light: Left & Right - Pt. 5 Mouth

When another election cycle comes around, it is tempting to hide our light or lose our saltiness because we adopt the ways of our culture (arguing, demonizing, blaming, justifying). This series is all about maintaining our salt and light regardless if we lean left, middle, apathetic, or right. As Christians, we have the one thing that the rest of the world does not. Jesus. Jesus is the hope in a world that is hopeless. He is the Good News when everything seems bad. Matthew 5:13-14 NIV - 13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. 14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:8‬ ‭ESV - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Mark 16:15 NLT - 15 And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” Be a Good News person in a bad news world.
