Salvation Army and the Holiday Season! (Aired 11/20/2025)

She emphasizes that every dollar donated locally stays right here, supporting families in Green Valley, Sahuarita, and Madera—all helping with meals, utilities, emergency aid, and holiday programs.Tammy also breaks down how the beloved Angel Tree Program works this year. Trees and tags can be found at Walmart, Posada Java, Valle Verde Rotary, St. Francis Church, and other partner locations. Community members pick a tag and purchase a gift for a child, but leave it unwrapped. For 2025, the Salvation Army is introducing a more personalized touch: parents will “shop” from sorted gifts—organized by age and gender—allowing them to choose something meaningful for their child in a toy-store style setting.Finally, Tammy puts out a call for volunteers to help sort, organize, and prepare gifts ahead of distribution days on December 17, 18, and 19.
