Faith sees all the threats and risks. Faith sees and understands all that and chooses to live in trust anyway. We trust that we are not alone. We trust that we are loved. We trust that our lives matter, and that we can make a difference even if it is in a small way. We trust in the power of love to prevail over the power of hate. We embrace optimism over cynicism and despair. We believe the moral arc of the universe bends towards justice, even if we have to bend it ourselves. The word salvation means deliverance and liberation. Faith means trust.
