Salvation Meeting (08) - Sunday 10th May, 2020

People! The world is full of them - and, in the words of a popular Christian song, the NEED THE LORD. In The salvation Army we use many words for 'people' - some of them would be brothers, sisters, folk, comrades and 'whosoever'. William Booth famously sent, on one occasion, a one-word telegram that contained just the one word: OTHERS. The world needs to know that SOMEONE CARES - not just God Himself - but every one of us who call ourselves Christians! The world needs 'You and Me'to care...and more...to tell them about Jesus' saving power! Throughout the world we are in the grip of a dreadful pandemic. The COVID-19 virus is wreaking havoc with the day to lives of countless millions of people. One of the consequences is the fact that we cannot, for the time being, meet in worship in our churches and Salvation Army corps. So FORTRESS RADIO has stepped in to provide two 'meetings' each Sunday at least for the duration of the curfews and lockdowns. I am pleased to be preparing the evening - or Salvation Meeting each week and the sixth of these has just been broadcast this evening. This is the meeting as it was broadcast. I am sharing the meeting here so people can listen again if they wish or hear it in places where Fortress Radio is unavailable.
