What is our role in growing spiritually and what is God’s? Why is it that the more we mature in Christ the greater our awareness of sin becomes? Unlike justification, sanctification is a progressive work of God and man that makes us freer from sin and more like Christ in our actual lives. We should not be discouraged at how far from perfection we are, but rejoice that we are on our way and will eventually attain it because of Christ.
