very little time. So I'm going to speak on the fruit of the Spirit if you haven't guessed already from the song we did. I'm going to open in prayer and we're going to continue. So Heavenly Father, thank you Lord for your love to us Lord.
Thank you for coming to save us Lord, coming to dying across, for rising again and conquering death and giving us new life Lord and sending your Spirit. This is just such a wonderful truth and this is our reality Lord if we believe in you that we have your Spirit. Yes and Lord I just pray that you would help us all to learn today more about you and to learn to love you more and in Jesus name and man. So this has to be turned on that's right that was the part of the instruction.
Alright so we just did it. We did it very fast like anyone named the fruits of the Spirit in order. Maybe shout it out what's the first one? Everyone knows the first one.
Coconut yeah there you go fruit of the Spirit is not a coconut so that's true. Who can name the first one? The first actual love. Love is the first one.
What's the second one? Joy. What's the third one? Peace.
What's the next one? Patience. What's the next one? Kindness and goodness.
Faithfulness. Gentleness. The name of the world is the end of this is what I heard but that's okay. Gentleness and self-control.
Very good. Alright so we have a bit of background here. What do we mean by fruit of the Spirit? What does it mean?
Because like these are all things we do. We think we feel love but we don't really feel love. It's actually a commitment. You'll learn that later.
Just kidding you probably already know it. So what are these things? So what does it mean to be to what is fruit of the Spirit mean? This is something that kind of hit me was that this is God these are God's attributes that are shown forth in his followers.
So it's very interesting to me because when you go through the list I'll go back here of these things. God you'll see later God exhibits all of these attributes. These are things that God is. And so therefore if we have the Spirit of God living in us we show these forth.
These are actions that God has taken toward us as well. God has been patient with us. He has been kind to us. He exhibits self-control in dealing with us.
Very interesting stuff. It's evidence of God's work in someone's life. We're not saved by works. We are saved by the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
We're saved by faith and by grace from the Lord through faith in the finished work. However we're saved in order to do work. And this is in order for God to indwell us and do work through us. So it's evidence of God's work in someone's life.
Jesus reveals the coming of the Holy Spirit in John, sorry I just got to get my Bible which is a phone basically. But all right John 14 26 Jesus talks about the coming of the Holy Spirit and He'll guide us into all truth. So I'll just read that really quick. It's not on the screen.
That's all right. The helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name. He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. I can speak of this like specifically for me.
I remember being a counselor at camp and I have kids asking questions. I was only 17, 18 and I hadn't really gotten extremely deep into the Word of God yet and still haven't because it's eternal. But I just remember the Lord was bringing verses to my head to be able to answer these questions. I remember that specifically and this is the truth that the Spirit really does guide us and help us.
Oh yes, we got to read this passage. John 15 verses 1 to 5. So if you turn to John 14 26 it's probably the next page over. Jesus is continuing on.
I am the true vine. My Father is the vine dresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit He takes away and every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it'll bear more fruit. You already clean because of the Word I've spoken to you.
Abide in me and I in you as a branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine. Neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine. You are the branches.
Whoever abides in me and I in Him is He that bears much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. What is abiding in Christ? What does that mean?
I went to a specific verse in the Scriptures. So the fruits of the Spirit are listed in Galatians 5.22. But if we turn back just a page behind that Galatians 2.20 is what it means to abide in Christ. It means that I have been crucified with Christ.
It's no longer I who lives who live, but Christ lives in me. The life that I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me. So this is what it means to abide in Christ. It means to essentially give up our life and live by faith in the Son of God who has been crucified.
He's risen again and this is new life in Christ. So the next thing I want to bring up is the verse 5. Whoever abides in me and I in Him, He is that bears much fruit. This means that Christ's followers will bear much fruit.
This is the truth. This is what it says in Scripture. It says that if we live in Christ, we will bear much fruit. So I want this to be an encouragement to believers.
If you're a believer here, maybe you're struggling with sin, maybe you're struggling with doubt, maybe you're struggling with all kinds of things. Christ does and will work in you if you submit to Him. It's important that we confess our sins, that we continue to let the Spirit of God guide us and lead us in our lives as believers. I want people to be encouraged.
I want followers of Christ to be encouraged. There's also a group of people that I want to warn. I want to say if you're not a believer or if you're not sure if you're a believer or if you look at your life and you don't see the fruit of the Spirit, then it's time to really consider where things are at in your life. It's time to consider if Christ lives in you, if you're following Christ.
It's time to consider that. Now is the time of salvation. Now is the time to call upon the name of the Lord. He will save you.
If you come to Him, He will not cast you out. These fruits of the Spirit, these are not how we obtain salvation, but it is a sign that we have Christ. So I want to just make sure it's never a matter of being, it's never too late until, or sorry, it may be too late someday when we all face that. And I just want to present that as the Gospel.
The Lord works in people who He saves. And I just want to mention that as a share in the Gospel. So the next section I'm going to talk about the fruits themselves. Oh, am I?
Oh, there we go. We're going to talk about love. So let me just scroll down on my notes. Love is the goat of all fruits.
Does everybody know what goat means? Great. We had a millennial answer there. I think we had some mostly people under the age of like 50, 40, 50.
We know what that means. Greatest of all time. So Wayne Dratzky, people of the sake, he's the goat of hockey. It's actually Bob Yore.
So we talk about the goat of all fruits. The greatest of all fruits. Love is, in 1 Corinthians 13, it's mentioned as the greatest of them. It's interesting that in 1 Corinthians 13, I think for the sake of time, I'm not going to turn there.
We all kind of know, generally, what it says. It's interesting that it describes love with many of these fruits. It describes love as kind, patience, long suffering. So like all of these other fruits that we're listening here, come in light of love.
They're like subcategories of love, essentially. These are all things that love is. It's very interesting. I love how love is just first.
It's like, we're going to get that one. And then this is all falling under love. The specific Greek word that Paul uses is agape, which is total sacrificial love, complete love. It's love that only God can give in its truest form.
Love is complete commitment to something or someone. It is an act of the will. So this is a choice that we make to love something, to commit fully to something. All right, we're going to move to joy.
Joy is celebration and praise of our God and Savior. Joy is the art of celebration. This is the art of celebration. Joy is making a joyful noise to the Lord.
It transcends circumstance. It's not happiness. People think that joy is happiness. I mean, you can say joy is happiness no matter what.
But joy is happiness in the Lord no matter what. There's a verse in Nehemiah 8, 10, let the joy of the Lord be our strength. This is something that's so important. We can get bogged down with life and circumstances.
Lots of hard things come across us in life. And we have trials, we have sin even, we have things like that, all kinds of things that can bog us down. And if we're not joyful in the Lord, if we don't celebrate the Lord, our God, then we will lose all our strength. We will not have any strength to begin with.
We don't have strength outside of the joy of the Lord. John 15, 11, it's a little further down in kind of our root passage here. Jesus says, these things I've spoken to you that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be full. This is a complete, this is a complete joy that Jesus gives us.
And it's his joy. He says, I'm speaking these things to you so that my joy may be in you. He's sharing his joy. He rejoices in the Lord as well because he's God.
And this is why the Trinity exists. It's because the Trinity loves and the Trinity celebrates. And God celebrates God. That's how it works.
Let's move on to peace. So peace is actually, I think, very closely linked with joy. Contentment and completeness in Christ says that godliness with contentment is great gain. This is John 14, 27, which is, I'll just turn there real quick.
Just a quick flip over. Peace, I leave with you. So actually, this is immediately after he promises the Holy Spirit. Just realize that.
Peace, I leave with you. My peace, I give to you. Not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled.
Neither let them be afraid. When Jesus mentions not as the world gives, these things are all things that the world tries to emulate or tries to copy in some way love. I mean, let's look at love for a minute. When we talk about things like self-love and all these things nowadays, the world's love is an affirmation of destructive behavior, essentially.
That's what it is. It's not love. It's not caring about somebody's well-being. It's just affirming their already self-destructive ness.
That's something we have to be careful with. Love is not affirmation of everything someone believes and does. And same with peace. Peace is something that the world can't give.
It doesn't have, it doesn't exist in the world. People try to do peace. I don't know, I'm going to confess right now, I've watched Seinfeld before, and there's a thing on Seinfeld where there's one of the characters has these tapes, and they're like these peace tapes. And he's like, and it says, anytime you feel stressed, they're saying, serenity now.
Serenity now. But of course, this character is hot-headed and angry all the time, so he goes, so every time he gets stressed, he goes, serenity now! And so that's what the world does. The world doesn't have peace.
They go serenity now. And so that's just that. I figured I'd do that. Inward peace, in Philippians 4, 6, and 7.
So I'm actually really good at doing what Paul says in Philippians 4, where he says, be anxious for nothing. That's something I'm really good at. Being anxious for nothing. Well, actually what Paul means is don't be anxious for anything.
Be anxious for nothing. Be anxious for, you know, don't be anxious at all for anything. The peace of God that passes understanding will guard your hearts and minds. Recently, there have been family members that we've heard of who have been saved gloriously in the end of their lives, and there's a peace.
There's somebody specifically I'm thinking of who had a life full of turmoil and hardship and not peace at all. And at the end of his life, he gave his life to Christ. John 3, 16 was his verse. This man that we were praying for.
And he had this peace. Why do you have peace? You're in palliative care. You're in the end of your life.
You know, he had peace in God. That's all he needed. He just needed God. He just knew that God had saved him.
And this is the peace that passes understanding. Outward peace in Romans 12, 8. Let's turn there for a quick second. Romans 12, verse 8.
This is an important verse I think for the practice of believers, too. Think about this, Ponderate, and ask of the Lord for this. The one who exhorts in his exhortation, the one, oh, 1218. I see, I missed the one.
There it is. If possible, as far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all people. This is important. It actually does have a bit of a caveat, like, as long as, as far as you can, live peaceably.
And essentially what that is indicating is that the world is not at peace. There are people who just want to fight. But let's not be that way. Let's not just go out to fight.
Let's go out to share the truth in love and be peaceful towards people. Let's move to patience. Patience can also send them as perseverance. Long suffering.
That's a tough one. I think when you look at that and think about what those two words mean long, that's a long time. Suffering. But that's what the Lord did.
He suffered long. He suffers long for us. We don't do any good on our own. But God is patient with us.
For the believer it means waiting on the Lord. Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. This is in Isaiah 40. This is something that I find difficult.
I'm relatively impulsive and quick to do things. But the scriptures teach us to wait on the Lord. Trust in the Lord. Be patient.
Be patient with each other as well. Kindness. So kindness is love put into tangible action. It stems from love, but it's actually physical kindness.
Kindness is showing love. Love is an act of the will. Kindness is an act of the hands and feet. Kindness is what you're doing to help others, what you're doing to show your love for Christ.
What Christ is doing in you to do those things. Because apart from him, we can't do anything. It's where the rubber hits the road. Goodness.
Okay. This one was actually kind of hard to define in a way. Not easy to find, but kind of hard to define. Goodness is another thing.
The world has no idea what goodness is. They don't know what it is. How do we define goodness as Christians? How would someone define goodness?
Well, dictionary.com says goodness, morality, or virtue refer to the qualities of character or conduct that entitle the possessor to approval. And I put in of God in a scene. This is something that we absolutely cannot do by ourselves. And actually we have none of it in us at all.
There is none good. No, not one. None who sees after God. So this is a completely hypothetical situation.
The whole, or you know, it's a hypothetical situation. It would be aside from the cross, aside from Christ living in us. To gain approval. To gain to be entitled to approval.
That's just unimaginable outside of God's work in us. Desiring to please God. And literally put its pleasing God. Something that is in line with God's terms and morals.
Goodness is anything, as far as Christians are concerned. Goodness is anything that lines up and meets the mark of God. Opposing evil. Exposing and opposing evil.
So that's a hard one in our society. There's lots of evil. And we have to oppose it. We are commanded to expose the unproofful works of darkness.
And that's what goodness is. Goodness is the opposite of evil. Faithfulness. Unchangingness.
That's something God is. Loyalty. Truthfulness. Staying true to your word.
Not deviating from God's truth. When we say someone is faithful to the Word of God. That means that we submit to the Word of God. It's submissive.
Faithfulness is a submissive thing. We submit to God. We submit to our word. But mostly his word.
What I mean by our word is if I say I'm going to do something, I better do it. Or I better repent if it's not something that's proper to do. Gentleness. Last night I was reading my notes.
Gav just asked me if we went through the notes and asked her if she wanted to hear it. She did. We got the gentleness. She was getting tired.
So just as a joke. I don't know. People are not going to find this funny at all. As a joke I kind of know.
I go, hey. I go, gentlemen. Hey. Anyway.
It was kind of a silly moment. And she was like, I'm getting too tired. I was like, great. Let's go to sleep.
So gentleness. Restraint of power. Not weak, but meek. So gentleness is not weakness.
It's absolutely not weakness. It is meekness. It is restraining power power or God's restraining his power. Mercy.
Mercy is included with gentleness, I believe. Withholding deserved punishment. Grace. Granting undeserved kindness.
I think these two things. Mercy and grace. They fall kind of under gentleness. They can fall under any of these.
But that's two words that I thought of when I was going through gentleness. And they match up with gentleness. It's God withholding his power. Withholding his power in the way that we deserve his power.
Which is not something that we want to face. Self-control. Opposite of impulsive. It's the restraint of desires.
So gentleness is the restraint of power. Or basically restraint of something, doing something that you should do. Or, you know, deserve or restraint of your powers. Restraint of desires.
This is restraint of something that you wish you had or want to have or want to do. Resistance to temptation is self-control. This is one I struggle with. Very much so.
And this is one that I actually was kind of taking it back a little bit because I realized God exhibits self-control. Which is very interesting. Because Christ, well we'll see it in a minute here. God exhibits these attributes in scripture.
Love. Romans 5.8. God shows his love towards us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3.16. Forgot so loves the world. So I forgot so loved the world. I put too many to name with a little smiley face there.
Actually I wouldn't mind if people could shout out. Maybe there's some other verses. Do you guys have any other references that refer to God's love? I mean it's very broad.
Maybe not. God is love. There we go. When we look at, yeah, we look at, that's in 1 John, right?
Yes. So 1 John, I mean I could have put the whole book of 1 John in here because it talks about God's love. And it's, we love because he loved us. The only reason that love exists in the world is because of God's love towards us.
And what I mean by in the world is God has come to the world. Joy. These are things, this is God exhibiting. Joy.
Hebrews 12 to, I'm going to turn to it really quick just so I get it right. Looking to Jesus. The founder and perfecter of our faith. Who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross.
Despising the shame and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. There's the name of the man's seat at the right hand of God. God, Jesus for the joy that was set before him went to the cross. And when you think about that, it's amazing.
God, Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the throne of God. And he is expressing joy. Celebrating Psalm 104 31. I believe this is the one that says, let the Lord rejoice in his works.
I think that's what it says. May the glory of the Lord endure forever. May the Lord rejoice in his works. John 15 11, we already covered this one.
This is Jesus saying that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. Let's go to peace. Romans 5 1, this is such a wonderful verse. We're actually, I think we're about to do it in our men's study.
So I'm excited for that. This is one of my favorite passages in all of scripture. Therefore, so this is the previous chapter talks about how we live by faith, not by works. We are saved by faith, not by works.
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We're no longer out war with God. We are at peace with him because of his grace. 2 Thessalonians 3 16.
Let's just go there real quick. Jumping around a little. Now, may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.
God is the Lord of peace. Philippians 4, 6 and 7. We talked about this one. This is the be anxious for nothing.
Chapter, the peace of God that passes understanding. Well, dwell on your heart and some minds. Patience. Exodus 34 verse 6.
This lists some attributes of God. God is listing his attributes, is describing himself to Moses. Verse 6. Stay there for to the people of Israel.
I am the Lord and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. This is when God is promising to deliver the Israelites from the Egyptians. I will redeem you with, am I looking at the right verse? I'm absolutely not looking at the right verse.
Sorry guys. That's a great passage to go through though. Let's see here. The Lord passed before him.
Okay, yes. Okay. This is when Moses is on Mount Sinai. That makes more sense.
The Lord passes before him and proclaimed the Lord, the Lord, a God, merciful and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. Well, that covers several of our things. Slow to anger. Numbers 14, 18.
Very similar passage. I think it might be a similar account when Moses is on Mount Sinai or I might be wrong there. Yeah. 14, 18.
And this is after the people of God rebelled against him. He says, the Lord is slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love for giving iniquity and transgression. This is the Lord being patient. 2 Peter 3, 9.
2 Peter 3 verse 9. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count, slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. This should be our prayer that all should reach repentance. That's what we desire.
Kindness. Romans 5, 8. We already mentioned that one for love, but it's God demonstrating his love that because while we're still sinners, Christ died for us. He did something.
He died. That's unfathomable. Jesus died for us. Ephesians 2 verse 7.
This is, we always talk about Ephesians 2, 8, and 9. A lot of people do, but this is Ephesians 2 verse 7, which kind of strikes me because this is the purpose of why Jesus redeemed us. So that in the coming ages, he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. This is Christ showing his kindness for eternity.
That's our purpose. That's the reason why he saved us, is so that he can show his kindness for all eternity. Titus 3, 4. Let's go to that one as well.
That is 3, 4. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us not because of works of righteousness done or not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit. So is that Holy Spirit dwelling in us? Loving kindness, the goodness and loving kindness.
So that's great because the next one is goodness. And I didn't write that one down for this, but I may as well use it, the goodness and kindness. Psalm 34, 8. O'Taste and see that the Lord is good.
This is like my favorite psalm. It's such a wonderful one. The Lord is good. He holds up.
I mean, he's good. We know he's good. This is where I think it's important to tell people, taste and see. See what God is like.
He's good. Exodus 34, 6. We read that one. We also read 6, 34, I think, but 34, 6 is a little more relevant to what we're doing.
So, Exodus 34, 6 talks about the goodness of God. Faithfulness. Lamentations 3, 23. Great is thy faithfulness.
I know that's the old King James, but it's also a hymn that we sing. And it's one of my favorite passages. When you see all the Jeremiah saw and all that he was going through, and his conclusion is great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is great.
He's faithful. Psalm 36, 5. I believe this is, I should have put the text in here because that would have made a lot easier. 36, verse 5.
You're steadfast love, O Lord. Notice love is in most of these. Just notice that. O Lord extends to the heavens.
Your faithfulness to the clouds. God has eternal faithfulness. Hebrews 13, 8. Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever.
It's just so encouraging that we have such a solid rock. Christ is unchanging, completely unchanging. Gentiles. Matthew 11, 29.
Jesus is speaking, come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden. So basically he's saying, anybody who is under a burden, come to me. I will give you rest. I am gentle and lowly of spirit.
So it's basically Jesus describing himself and describing how he treats people. And he's gentle. He's in line with patience as well. 2 Corinthians 10, 1.
I'm going to go to that one over here. 2 Corinthians 10, verse 1. All, myself, entreat you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ. I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold towards you when I'm away.
I think Paul's declaring himself as kind of a keyboard warrior. But he's saying, I think what Paul's trying to say here is the letter to the Corinthians is a lot of stuff because the Corinthians were going through a lot of, doing a lot of things that were not biblical, not godly. And Paul is correcting that in a lot of the book. But in this he says, I want to express the meekness and gentleness of Christ in giving you this truth.
I think it's, gentleness is a very important thing. Self-control, Hebrews 4, 15, we sang boldly I approach the verse right before what that song is based on. Christ was tempted in every way, just as we are, but with no sin. This is Christ exhibiting self-control.
We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted just like we are, but with no sin. That's so encouraging. It's so good to know that we have an advocate in heaven who knows what we're going through, but lives up to God's standard. He's good.
Matthew 4, the temptation of Jesus, he refutes Satan with Bible with scripture. Sing with Luke 4. Those are two accounts. I think Mark actually has it as well, so I didn't include that.
But Matthew and Luke 4, those are two accounts of Jesus' temptation in the wilderness. And he exhibits self-control with scripture. That's a good example for us. Any time we face temptation, the word of God can really, for us to be in prayer that the word of God will penetrate our hearts and that we will remember and recall his word when we face temptation.
So at the end of the day, there's an application. Why are we exhibiting these truths? Why do we need to exhibit the fruits of the Spirit? What is God's purpose in that?
Ephesians 2, 5, and 10, we are created, or 5 to 10, we are created for good works in Christ. Let's read that passage here. Ephesians 2, verses 5 to 10, even when we were dead in our trespasses, Christ made us alive, or God made us alive together with Christ. By grace you have been saved and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
So that in the coming ages, he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith and this is not of your own doing, it is the gift of God, not the result of works, not the result of works so that no one may boast. We are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. That's the fruit of the Spirit exhibiting those things.
Romans 8, 1 to 8, we're going to finish with more than conquerors because I can't go through a message, mention Romans 8 and not sing that song. Let's read 1 to 8. This is one of the most glorious passages in all the scripture for the one who believes in Christ. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
The law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. The law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. We are set free through the law of the Spirit. For God has done what the law we can by the flesh could not do.
By sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin he condemned sin in the flesh. In order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. The righteous requirement of the law is fulfilled in those of us who walk according to the Spirit, not according to the flesh. What that's saying is we have no ability to fulfill the law, the righteous requirement of the law in our flesh, in our own body, in our own ability.
We have no ability. In fact it even says that our flesh actually weakens the law which is weakened by the law. So our situation is just so dire without Christ. But when we walk according to the Spirit we fulfill the righteous requirement of the law.
That's what it says. Amazing. And then finally I want to share Jeremiah 31 verse 31 to 34 and this is also reiterated in Hebrews. But I want to go to this passage because it's speaking at the time that this is written it's speaking forward it's speaking of what will happen what God will do.
And in Hebrews it's kind of reiterating that it's saying this is what God has done this is an explanation this is Christ. Behold days are coming declares the Lord. When I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah. Not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt.
My covenant that they broke though I was their husband declared the Lord. For this covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days declares the Lord. I will put my law within them. I will write it on their hearts.
I will be their God and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each and his brother saying no to the Lord for they shall all know me from the least of them to the greatest declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sins no more. This is the truth for believers.
We know the Lord. We have the truth. We have the spirit of God living in us and we will bear much fruit if the spirit of God is living in us. I want that to be a sober encouragement something that we take very seriously.
It's encouraging knowing that God works in us that he will he starts in us he will finish. But also understanding that we need to surrender to him fully. We need to repent if we if we don't know him if we're not sure if we know him that's something that needs to happen and we and call in the name of the Lord. So that's it for this this section.
This is going to turn into oh yeah okay so I had a couple more slides but this is going to turn into I think a series I might do a series of like each one of the fruits of the spirit because there's there's lots there but for now this is a summary of the fruits of the spirit their purpose and yeah that's it. All right I'm going to pray and then we'll sing one more song. Heavenly Father thank you for this word Lord thank you for your word for your kindness Lord for your your attributes that we see here for your actions toward us Lord. I just pray that if there's anybody here that doesn't know you or is not sure that they know you that you would reach into their hearts Lord and that they would repent and know you.
Lord I pray for believers here that they'd be encouraged to desire these things that Christ would just live in our hearts that the Holy Spirit would work in us Lord that you would just that you'd work in our lives and in Jesus name amen.
