Sam Murphy: The Irish Star

A big welcome to Sam Murphy from across the pond. He is one of the best Ultimate Frisbee players in Ireland and was ranked in the top 15 in Europe in 2023 by Ultiworld. Sam has been with his Dublin based team, Ranelagh, since 2016. He is known for helping lead this team from a small local Irish team to one that challenges for the European Ultimate Championships. He brought home Gold at that tourament in 2022, winning tourament MVP and Offense Player of the Year. He has traveled across Europe and North America playing and learning this great sport, offering a fantastic insight into what it means to have a good community and to work hard.
