Sam Murray is a former Royal Marine who later worked in the private sector doing surveillance and close protection assignments. Whilst his professional life was varied and exciting, his own wellbeing started to suffer. Buried grief and other personal traumas started to take their toll on Sam and he turned to alcohol and drugs before trying to his own life. After a spell in hospital and finding his prescription medication wasn’t helping him, he tried to take his life again. It was a chance discovery of mediative breathing techniques and cold water therapy that changed Sam’s life forever. He has spent several years exploring these practices and now with his partner Miranda has set up a company called The Breath Connection. They work with both the military and blue lights charities to assist men and women of all ages find their inner peace again.
