There's growing debate mortgage advisors need more regulation - alongside a Commerce Commission bid to make it easier to take out a home loan. Discussions at a banking conference centred on concerns brokers don't encourage mortgage rate competition. Simplicity CEO, Sam Stubbs, says they provide a valuable service, but commissions are a worry.
