Same Stuff

Title: Same Stuff Speaker: Greg St Cyr Passage: Hebrews 2:9-10, 14-17 The Christmas season is upon us and in the words of legendary Andy Williams: "It's the most wonderful time of the year With the kids jingle belling And everyone telling you be of good cheer It's the most wonderful time of the year!" Christmas is wonderful because Jesus came down to earth. Jesus became like us in our humanity. And like us, He had the same family dynamics, the same problems, the same stuff, even the same start (born from His mother’s womb) we have. That’s why Jesus can relate to us, and we can draw near to Him. When you come, you’ll see that the church is adorned with decorations, hand-made ornaments, and family photos on trees so that you and those you invite will experience the wonder of Christ’s birth. But have you ever stopped to contemplate “Why? Why did Jesus become like us?” Join us this Sunday in week 4 of our Advent series, Restored & Redeemed.
