"Samuel Anoints Saul As King"
from Sunday Services
God answered Israel’s request for a king — but the choice came with both promise and warning. When Samuel anointed Saul, it marked a turning point in Israel’s history: a shift from God’s direct rule to human kingship. This week, we’ll look at 1 Samuel 9–10 and the calling of Saul. What does this moment teach us about God’s sovereignty, our desires, and the danger of settling for less than His best? And how do we recognize God’s anointing and calling in our own lives? Join us as we continue The Life of Samuel and uncover what it means to walk in God’s call with humility, obedience, and dependence on Him.
