SANDF to host Armed Forces Day in Durban despite weather conditions

The South African National Defence Force, SANDF, says it is ready to host the Armed Forces Day today despite the rainy weather conditions in Durban. More than four-thousand soldiers are expected to parade through the city. The celebration has brought together various services of the SANDF to showcase its capabilities. The event will also remember the South African troops that drowned in the English Channel when the SS Mendi sank during the first World War in 1917.
