There's a moment at dusk when the lake goes flat... glassy... and you can hear every splash clear across the water. Tonight, that splash came in the very first frame. Four runs, before the mosquitoes even found the bleachers. Lake Country planted a flag. And Kansas City spent eight innings trying to swim back to the boat. They got close. Real close. But the dock held. You're listening to Sandhill's Dock Report from Louie's Dock — Lake Country baseball, filed from the marsh. I'm the Sandhill. Tonight: an early splash, a mid-lake squall, and a foundation that held when the water got rough.The game started like a crankbait tossed at first light — no asking, just casting. Four runs in the first inning. Not a single one cheap. That's a Frank Lloyd Wright kind of opening: built into the land... low and long... cantilevered out over the water.
