Sandor Lenard and Adrian Zador, nightlife historians, episode 9

from Budapest: The Podcast

In addition to being good friends of mine, Sanyo and Adrian are both longtime Budapest residents and dedicated appreciators of quality music and nightlife events. We convened in order to discuss the city’s parties from the late 1990s until present-day, but quickly sidetracked to the topic of their Hungarian origins and earlier days like Adrian in a Swiss boarding school and Sanyo at the Swedish border. Somehow we felt compelled to kick-off the music portion with Roxette playing in the background, but soon shifted to parties like Frankhegy, Kecel, Halasztelek and Sziget, and re-worked the background tracks to include Roni Size, Roger Sanchez, Sven Vath, Aphex Twin, and Laurent Garnier. Ultimately we had quite the entertaining, if somewhat disjointed conversation, so stay tuned for part two. ;) And turn up the volume a bit because my vocals are lower due to lack of third mic. Time to professionalize this bitch! Intro music: “BMX” by Xinobi https://www.facebook.com/xinobimusic
