U.S. stock futures declined on Thursday, after a lower close on Wednesday, as the Nasdaq 100, Dow Jones S&P 500 fell.Weekly initial jobless claims jumped by 13,000 to a seasonally adjusted 225,000 for the week ending May 30. Meanwhile, the government downwardly revised its reading on first-quarter nonfarm labor productivity to a marginal 0.3% annualized growth rate—down from the previously reported 0.8%—while unit labor costs rose at a 1.8% clip.In a 215-208 vote, the Republican-controlled House passed a war powers resolution requiring President Donald Trump to obtain congressional authorization before continuing military action or deploying troops against Iran. Notably, four Republicans joined Democrats to pass the measure, marking a rare bipartisan challenge to the president’s military authority.Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 4.49%, and the two-year bond was at 4.07%. The CME Group's FedWatch tool‘s projections show markets pricing a 96.2% likelihood of the Federal Reserve leaving the current interest rates unchanged during June’s meeting.The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE: SPY) and Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (NASDAQ: QQQ), which track the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100, respectively, were lower in premarket on Thursday.
