Sandy And Jean
from CiTR -- Parts Unknown · host CiTR & Discorder Magazine
RIP to my mom and dad, who died 5 days apart from each other. It wasn't a shock but it still sucks. Thinking about the good stuff is the best way around the sadness. But when I think about the really good times, then I am back where I started, sadder than ever. My mom helped teach me piano without playing a single note all her life. She was taught the notes of the music staff by my piano teacher, Erica, and she wrote her own flash cards for me to learn the notes every night before I went to bed for a year. Changed my life. My Dad was tough, quick to anger and impatient. But he loved me and eventually excepted the direction my life took. He told me I was a good father, and although he didn't say sorry for much, I remember vividly the times he did. They are not there anymore, after being in my life for 42 years. A tough month to say the least. Thanks for everyone's amazing support. Blessings to you all.
