Russell: Two thoughts preoccupying me over the last year: 1) Paradoxical nature of the universe, and 2) Uses of failure (when we feel like a failure) Sawan: Karma, Spiritual Gems, letter #20 - Supreme Creator and individual spirit are connected by Sound Current, but feel separated by Kal/Maya which comes between the spirit and Creator as mind and forms - Escape is through the Sound Current - Two ways of looking at creation: top down and bottom up - Creator is only the doer - There are only bubbles coming and going - Indiv. thinks he's the doer, and therefor responsible Russell: cont. next week: failure as part of the paradox Tape: Sant Ji's Farewell talk, 7/28/96, Acton, MA - Villagers lose everything, but see grace in hindsight - God is within all of us, so we should love and respect everyone, but we can do that only when doing the  devotion of the Lord, because the mind leads us astray, otherwise, through likes/dislikes, desires, etc. - Kirpal used to say: be one, be good
